Ugh! So it seems that there will be no Part 3, according to comments found online so far. These Chinese gay dramas are infuriating as they get off to a good start, share a good story, then get banned leaving everyone disappointed that there is no ending, good or bad.

This is the last straw, I m done with Chinese gay dramas unless the entire movie is completed and available.

Such a waste of time, not just for me watching, but everyone involved in making them.

And let me add one more thing... enough with the gay shaming, movie after movie of mothers and fathers falling ill because of their homophobic points of view, enough of the shaming of being gay, by family and so called friends, and classmates.

Though being gay, anywhere in the world can be difficult, there are equally as many men and women who have wonderfully accepting families, friends and communities.

Stop the shame!

Love and Torture is identical, the story is interesting and it comes with such handsome actors.
Some parts needs to clarify and the chemistry of each characters needs some improvement but everything is good and no awkward scenes. It is a must watch if you and i can say that it is worth watching.

OST is really good and dramatic, i swear you're gonna cry after watching it.

The first movie of this series is very cute and cheesy, though, this movie is incredibly dark. I loved the transition of this, but it is a bit confusing as many questions were left unanswered. The character development was rushed. For example, Lu Feng suddenly goes from sweet and loving to a dominant and low-temper person. The plot line did became more interesting and original than the first one. I really wish there would’ve been a third film to explain some confusing parts of this film *sighs* This movie has a lot of angst than fluff. The ending is probably the most upsetting part of this movie. so many people dislike it, but I actually have mixed feelings. It’s no surprise it is a sad ending due to being a Chinese film, but I sort I liked it, it’s more up to debate at how you want to see the ending and I love that. In my imagination, they both die together which ended their suffering.

Watched part 1, gave it a 6.5, just watched part 2 gave it an 8. WOW, part 2 had a much better story line and better acting,. If you watched part 1 and didn’t like it, don’t stop, watch part 2. Ties up all loose ends from the first one. I won’t give the ending away, but if it had ended different, I think they would have ended up together. They both truly loved each other. But again, society and parent involvement split them apart. I get so irritated when parents in dramas and real life, have the opinion that things in life should be a certain way and force it on their children. It shouldn’t matter who children decide to love, marry or not marry, have kids or not. If everyone would have just left them alone and just let them love each other, everything would have turned out so different.

Why Did I Watch this ....

This movie can be considered impossible to watch, First of all, the editing is GOD AWFUL who edited this ? It is a hot mess and it just switches from scene to scene so sloppy. The acting is over the top and ridiculous at times.

I am really not understanding how this got such high ratings, and yet it was so bad, the acting was really bad, there was no flow to the story, it skipped to like 5 years later, in a matter of a second!!!

The series also didn't explore much about xiao Chen wife and kid... it was like there were just thrown into the picture cuz mommy wish was for one her sons to be married, the fact that the mother didn't even try to understand her sons is really so sad, and to ask for something like that on your death bed and leave your children guilt ridden, that just pissed me off, the other son, didn't seem to have any issues living his life with his man.

WHAT A WASTE OF A MOVIE!!!!

This movie can be considered impossible to watch if you hate any kind of violence.

Special when the violence is considered love. And is not just one time...

The cast was good
The music was really well to the plot
The plot was a bit to my much
The rewatch I just don't want to do it

I consider that love is also "let the other free" what absolutely is not what the movie is about.

I can say the first movie itself was good but I can't talk about the second without get cringe vibes.

Well yeah....you will see what is the most scariest things when you are too obsession over something..Ya you know..Love can turn someone into anything...The rape things is (almost) exactly just with in its novel...Lu Feng's frustration makes him to do anything as long as he can stay beside Xiao Chen..It is still a love but the way he shows what the love is semi wrong (since his action reflects his biggest disappointment toward Xiao Chen)...

AND THE ENDING IS AMBIGUOUS..you may choose your imagination either it should be happy or sad ending..

Still hoping for part 3 ><

First it was warm and fuzzy.
Then it was thunders which follows by some shine then rain. Then comes the obsessions which its actually Compelling to watch it happen. And it compells me to watch it from beginning to end again and again. When you finish, you understand in the end they still does love each other despite all the incidents, troubles, pain.
Its complicated yet simple. Love can make you do hurtful things like in the story. Then love turns to obsessive and hurt. Then hurt turns to sadness, but in the end they love each other no matter.
Dont get scared away by all the complicated or tragic implies on the summary.  Because its worth your time to see its compelling,  intriguing story.
The ending may make you curse but think happy thoughts! You can imagine it ended well/happy afterwards.
Anyway supposedly if following the novel it IS happily ever after. (I'll never stop hopin' the day allowing them to film continuous)

this was hilariously bad - like what else could one do if not laugh at the things going on in this movie - the first part wasn't stellar but at least it made some kind of sense - the rich kid got sent off and the poor one had to tough-it-out and bare the brunt of the humiliation, from his family and his soundings - ironic that the same guys that were egging Lu Feng to kiss Xiao Chen, were the same ones shaming Xiao Chen when they found out they were in a relationship - guess its cool being gay as long as its just fun and games - stoopid logic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but this was like WTF is going on - for one that brother of Xiao Chen's who was so gay(even before we saw this part of the movie i guessed to that fact in the 1st part) so why he not support his brother and his bf(?), when they got together why he and his bf treat Lu Feng as the bad-guy that wasn't worthy of Xiao Chen - and shouldn't be around him??. considering they in the same boat - shouldn't these morons commiserate? or just cause they weren't outed, so not their problem?!? that's why i kinda got Lu Feng losing it on the pair and going after them, when Xiao Chen ghosted him out, cause of that annoying mother - talk guilt trip - this woman was a master in that crap - everyone should've informed her that Lu Feng's money-bags rich and a boss to boot, pretty sure she would've been all smiles and open arms then... plz

and then from ridiculous to absurd - think the person that wrote this crap was the same person that wrote Addicted - Lu Feng drug's and then basically confine Xiao Chen in his place - raping him on the daily?!????? guess this a new type of romancing and foreplay?!?? like WTAF - who comes up with this sh*t and people loving it - guess stockholm syndrome is the new way to get ur man?!??? which considering Xiao Chen saving Lu Feng is - idk i'm at a loss at the absurdity of this plotline

so the brother walking around scot-free after shooting a person - brother or not he took a freakin gun from a cop and shot someone, who ended up in a come - he not doing time ? guess his bf indeed connected.. and that not enough that ending aish, guess "they" wanna milk this for a part 3 of this travesty? well read enough comments of people rooting for it, so idk what's to say - other then this will never be a rewatch or a recommend. one off was fine but nah this not even mildly good

Well that's another wasted hour of my life.

Let's start with the acting. Either the actors were green or the director pushed them toward melodrama. Whatever the reason, the result was middle-school histrionics on the screen. While we're on the subject of weak and the miserable; let's give a slow clap for the weakest of the weak BL plot devices poured into one script. This was arguably a romance. All I saw were two lovers who should have traded 'Babe, we're so done' post-its within the first 15 minutes. I kept hoping that it would get better and there would be a scene that made Part 2 worthy of watching, No such scene existed. Heads-up. This thing rolled past some serious trigger warnings as it zig-zagged to an ending that wasn't an ending. Why did I watch it? Because this title was featured in the MDL's Fav. Chinese Movies list. And now, I'm going to look at every other title on that list with great suspicion...

Proceed with caution

Let me reiterate that I can’t get over this couple, I’m also fascinated with Lu Feng. His obsession was a train wreck I couldn’t look away from.

The second part of this movie was quite dark, I was surprised this even happened in a Chinese BL movie. This is definitely not your run-of-the-mill cliched gays against the world story.

Lu Feng’s spiral played off of his loss of control over the relationship. Xiao Chen definitely didn’t play into his hands, resulting in disastrous consequences. Once again, Gao Tai Yu was better in his role, he had a swagger, albeit psychotic.

Random—This is my bleeding heart saying, for the love of everything LGBTQ, can on-screen Asian mothers/grandmothers please stop fainting or threatening to kill themselves when they find out one of their family members is not straight?? I’m so over this.

I only have twenty minutes left but I can't do it. I don't know what the hell just happen. The first movie was just super basic and now this sequel is like trying to outdo the first in being the worst. First of all, the editing is GOD AWFUL who edited this a 3 year old? It is a hot mess and it just switches from scene to scene so sloppy. The acting is over the top and ridiculous at times. The plot went from 0 to 100 real quick. I am literally dying of laughter at how stupid it is. THIS IS THE KINDA STUFF YOU SEE PARODIES DO WHEN MAKING FUN OF THESE DRAMAS. I can't take nothing serious at all. It just seems like a giant meme. That what this movie is a giant BL meme full of cliches and over the top moments that make no sense. I would give this a 0 but because the music is the best thing about this movie and that it made me laugh and the boys are attractive it earns a 3. One point for each of those reasons lol I am mad at the person who recommended this to me lol
