Reviews
ACTING/CAST: Nice cast, they do a good decent job acting. BTW: I used the cast names as they are in the list. I don't know Chinese, Pinyin, or anything else.
MUSIC: There's a real cool song sung by Xin that I wish was translated. The video I watched had audio quality issues so I'm not really how to grade this.
REWATCH VALUE: Nah.
OVERALL: The best part of this series are the BL moments. The rest was rather boring. You might be tempted to watch the fan-edited clips that omit everything but the BL. It's not bad to do so but the boring bits do add overall to the story and explain the funky ending. The worse part about the BL is that it's all one-sided romantic love. Xin is "waiting" on Chu to fall in love with him (do people really do this?). It's true, Chu loves Xin but "not in that way." Super annoying. And to have to sit through 4.5 hours of it!? Xin deserved better than that. Oh yeah, the ending: it's not bad or good, just open ended, like a cliff-hanger. Nobody dies. It just...ends. This story is simply unfinished. Also apparently the first 8 episodes deal with Chu and Xin, the second 8 episodes are a different story/cast. I can't seem to find those though.
TL;DR: Well, if you want to watch a slow, one-sided, unrequited burn that ends abruptly, this is your ticket.

IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER
Okay, I’ve only watched from episodes 1-8 and they’ve been great. But here’s the plot twist, starting from episode 9 it is a COMPLETELY NEW STORY, PLOT, GENRE, AND ACTORS. I dropped it then at episode 9, so keep in mind that everything in this review, including the ratings, are done based on what I seen from episodes 1-8.I liked the acting, and I have seen people talking about how they didn’t like the characters and such. But personally, I thought the complete opposite. Even though I got a bit frustrated at Chu Tian Qi sometimes, overall I like his character. And his past was an exceptable excuse for his actions of not trusting Anyone.
The plot was interesting but a little predictable at times. I don’t really know what to say for this part. I found some of it a little too..extreme? I don’t know, but the ‘love’ was VERY one sided. You Ning waited for Tian Qi. But Tian Qi would hurt him without realising it. (Based on my opinion)
The ending was the only reason that I’m only going to give this series 9 stars out of ten. It ended abruptly and a lot of this were not explained thoroughly. The ending left me with many questions that wouldn’t be answered. You Ning came back to China, but together with Qin Yi. Tian Qi asked his cousin, LiLi, something when he heard that You Ning was coming back on the same flight as Qin Yi. He just asked “You Ning?” and Lili nodded her head. That was IT. Even though her nod seemed to indicate something, there was no explanation. In the end he just ran away from it all again. The last scene was literally just him sprinting away. What happens after??? I Have many questions that I hope will be able to be answered. But probably won’t ;). I’m going to read the novel, in order, at least to find an ending! :v
