I enjoyed the episodes I really did, it makes you laugh and makes your day but the whole story well let's say we would all be pleased if there wouldn't be a girl in the middle of their relationship it made the story a bit less and less by episodes but all I can say it still kept my smile on my face

Acting/Cast 9,5

Choi Woo Shik is actually one of my afvorite actors in comedy dramas so I knew that I should expect a lot and well I didn't get disappointed, he was very funny as well with Jang Ki Yong. I could have lowered the point but let's be honest guys compared to most BL their acting was great because like we noticed most BL acting isn't high quality but this is really pro I can say and you can see in bts how hard it was to keep a straight face

Music 10

You might think I rate it too much but it's actually 10 for me. It really fits the comedy moments, like whenever you hear a certain background music you know what you should expect (heads up for 14th episode if I am sure e u e it's gonna crack you up)

Rewatch Value 10

I rewatched it within a week to show it to my best friend and I didn't want her to only watch I even wanted to watch it again myself. To be honest I could watch it again and again this year whenever I need some laugh maybe it's because it's short and ends quickly like you don't even notice and the episode ended :'(

Fun!

If you want to laugh loud and a lot, it’s a must watch for you! One of the funniest K-dramas I've ever seen! The episodes are very short so you will probably watch it all in one go.
The story is interesting, actors are passionate. It asks for more intimate scenes. But even without them the story was well said and the time was well spent.
I really recommend The Boy Next Door to everyone :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

Unchanging Charm: Enjoying this Series for the Second Time

I'm revisiting this series for the second time, and it still hasn't disappointed me in any aspect. It's an absolute riot! ? I highly recommend it to everyone. The humor is just as infectious and laughter-inducing as it was when I first watched it. Back in 2017, I wasn't particularly into male-male main casting, even though this series is not explicitly a BL series. However, I could still sense their strong chemistry. Honestly, this series played a significant role in getting me into BL series. It's not surprising that the actors who took on the main roles have now become big names; their performances are truly authentic and impressive.

Sooooo funny!

Gleefully goes for all the silliest and most obvious tropes of love stories, celebrating all the wackiest jokes and prat falls you’ve seen over the years, all with the awkwardness that comes with two guys who gradually fall for each other despite their best efforts otherwise. I’d rate it higher except for the silliness occasionally falling into pure slapstick mode, which I’m not a huge fan of… but everything else is so on-point in this story that this has quickly found a place in my heart.

If you're looking for something lighthearted, fun and quick, then this is the drama for you! The whole plot is just about a fun growing bromance (completely platonic) and is easy to watch. The characters are fun and it's obvious that the crew must have had a great time filming. The visual effects further help to create a funny and uncomplicated atmosphere. I can definitely see myself rewatching it in the future. The fact that it's completely available on YouTube (subbed and in high quality) adds to its charm!

Whatever you do , DO NOT WATCH THIS SERIES!

If you watch this series and are in bad health, you may have a heart attack - from laughing...

If you have a heart attack and live through it, you may try to sue me....

Since I am poor, you won't get anything from me....

That will make BOTH OF US MAD!

Both Park Kyu Tae (Choi Woo Shik) and Sung Gi Jae (Jang Ki Yong) are terrible actors with absolutely no chemistry between them here; therefore, why would you WANT to watch this series anyway?

Kim Min Ah (Jang Hee Ryung) is really, really ugly and contributes absolutely nothing to the main plot, about two guys who everyone 'thinks' are gay! Again, why would you want to watch this series anyway?

The rest of the support cast are also terrible and contribute absolutely nothing to the main story in this series... why would you want to watch this series anyway?

I hate the cinematography, music and most of all the main cast members, since everyone thinks they are gay...

The series takes so long anyway to watch, a whopping 1 hour and half, and a few minutes...which most people, such as you, would never finish anyway...

By the way, the two main male leads are also terrible lip-synchers!

If you do watch this and pee your pants for laughing too hard, don't blame me ' I tried to warn you!

Then again, I may be totally wrong on most of the above...

If I am wrong, sue me then...you still won't get any money from me!

P.S. Choi Woo Shik is also terrible in another series, called Ho-Gu's Love (2015); do not watch it, either!

RE-WATCH VALUE: If I were to re-watch it, I wouldn't tell you!

I'll start off by talking about the title of this review. Just because I labeled it as cliche, don't get your hopes down. It may be an average 'something happens to person A's accommodations so they have to live with person B! Omo!' drama, but in my opinion, that doesn't redact from any of the good points of this drama, and damn, there are a lot.

First of all, the acting and cast. One big point I would like to make is how effortlessly they switched from being really awkward in the first few episodes, to on decent terms in the middle, and good friends around the end. It felt really natural, and the way they could develop from awkward to near best friends in 15 episodes was one of the best points of the drama for me.

I thought they all acted really well, and knew how to make the majority of the scenes light hearted and funny, but could switch seamlessly to a more somber mood when one of the few scenes requiring that mood came up. The 2 male leads had really good chemistry, and it might be just my weird tastes, but I personally really liked the height difference between them. It was somehow endearing. Damn, that sounds weird. The female lead was also talented and pretty, and the 3 of them acted side by side very well. There was also a surprise actor who was refreshing to see. I won't spoil who s/he is, but if you like K-pop, you'll be pleased.

Although most of the music was instrumental and not very memorable, one song that the 2 main leads sing near the end that was meant to be funny but actually struck me as sad was very good.

Since most people might see this drama as your everyday run of the mill student life drama, I doubt many people will watch it again. But just because it doesn't have anything extraordinary about it, doesn't mean it's not extremely enjoyable to watch first time.

One thing I disliked about this drama was the weak love triangle that kind of arose during the end. Although, now that I think about it, it was probably necessary to drive the plot forward and create more drama, but my stone cold heart doesn't really like romantic subplots.

Overall, this drama is a very good one, and very worthy of your time. What's more, Dingo have compiled the 5-6 minute long episodes into one marathon video so if you're looking for something to binge watch late at night, this drama is perfect for you.

Stress Reliever

When I first introduced this to my family, they initially looked at me like I was crazy. But eventually, they started laughing like loons at all the hilarious scenarios that take place during the short but sweet run of this series. Both leads played their parts perfectly and you 'd never expect how two dissimilar individuals would be as close ask they would be. I looked forward to every wacky encounter and loved the open ending which gives the audiences a sliver of hope that someday somehow season 2 will follow.

Warnings: Features smoking and drinking, though not heavily. (Mostly accidental) violence, though not graphic.

STORY
Incredibly funny and got me in stitches the whole time! I have no regrets in watching this all in one go -- it's a light and fluffy watch and each episode has its own arc. The ending is a bit open ended but I'm not unsatisfied.

ACTING/CAST
Couldn't find fault with it at all.

MUSIC
It wasn't intrusive, which I guess is kind of the point of OSTs. There was a random TT and Russian Roulette there, but it didn't bother me that much (though I guess it was kind of funny).

REWATCH VALUE
10/10 would rewatch with a friend.

OVERALL
You have nothing to worry about watching this.

to enjoy the KD BL clichés

Watching this series is like reading a yaoi manhua but closer to bromance than BL. It is very visual and light, with magnificent actors. Fun because it also uses all the clichés and resources of Kdramas to generate chance encounters and fuel romance. The approach of the story is the typical one of two boys who meet by chance (neighbors) and how fate intervenes with those Kdrama and BL clichés to bring them closer in friendship and generating confusion in the people around them who see romance where they just friendship. Very good to spend a while and recreate ourselves in those common places of so many stories in a serious plan that we have seen and read. The music fits perfectly and underlines hilarious moments like the races in the rain or under the coat or the scene in the shower. The actors and actress who are great interpreters of great successes stand out. And the slow cameras, which allow us to see it coming and in slow motion. Screenwriter Choi Woo Joo builds the plot excellently. Really, the cast is luxurious, which can make us think that they recorded this series for pure enjoyment. just remember that Jang Ki Yong is the 999-year-old gumiho from the hit kdrama My Roommate Is a Gumiho; and Choi Woo Shik l Prince Yi Gak of the Joseon era in Rooftop Prince; to name two great series, it's like laughing at themselves with us. Funny and very nice to watch.

This review may contain spoilers
This is the story of two neighbors who end up in awkward situations that leads their common friend (and common love interest) to think they are gay.

It is hilarious, and cute. And you kind of end up shipping the two because they are like an old-married couple. And they do really honestly care a lot about each other - enough that they're both willing to give up on the girl that they like because the other likes her.

The actors are really cute and good. Everyone did a fantastic job.

There are a few problematic moments, for me personally, but its a Korean show dealing with gay themes. So I don't expect it to be smooth sailing. >_< But that being said, it was really more progressive than anything else I have seen that is a straight comedy dealing with gay themes.
