So I loved the old version and I also love this version. This lakorn was definitely a childhood favourite and still is. If you love like countryside, singing type of genre then this is one that you must not missed. FYI, this is not subbed soooo yeh. Story:
The girl's mum becomes a very famous morlum singer when she moved from the countryside to the city to pursue her singing career and in order to be able to help her family back in the countryside. Anyways, her mum goes back to find them but finds out they've been kicked out of their house and so she leaves back to the city. The daughter grows up to be a very beautiful, kind woman and she follows in her mother's footpath. Anyways, she decides to take her dad and her younger sister to the city to find their mother. The only thing they have is an old photo of her and her real maiden name. Wherever they go, they could not find her cause they did not know that their mother have changed her name into a stage performance name. She starts looking for a job and lands a deal with company the company that the main guy worked at. He helped her become a famous morlum singer too in order to help her find her mother. After some meeting together, they both did not realised they are mother and daughter until later on. Continues on and she finds out that the girl is her daughter but she kind of became her "benefactor's mistress" she tries to terminate her contract and it eventually works and she goes back to her family & that's pretty much it... ps/ the dad is blind after an incident.
Acting/Cast:
I've seen most of the cast's acting and they did such an amazing job.
Music:
I love the music. Growing up my dad always listened to morlum songs and so I've been exposed to them and they are my jams, like if I hear a morlum song, my body automatically reacts to it and I just start dancing. haha.
Rewatch Value:
I don't think I'll rewatch this version, but I go back and watch the old version once in a while.
Overall:
Overall, it was a really refreshing re-make version.
