The lesson to be learned here is reckless driving got consequences. The drama started with no one to root for, none of the characters were interesting or likable enough to care about them initially. I ended up hating more than half the cast by the end. It's infested with plot holes but I guess that's expected from long running makjangs. Sound design often fails every other scene. Some scenes were echoing while other were muffled. The "improbable coincidences" factor goes to extreme levels in this drama, kinda makes it hard to watch.

The bullshit starts after the first 1 year time-skip. It's impossible for Se Kyung hair to grow this long in a year lol. The drama hit the shitter after episode 32. It's impossible for someone as rich as Pil Mo to be this dunce, the dude got a single digit IQ. Kang Ha Ri is a main character but she almost doesn't show up in the second half, 5 episodes can pass without seeing her.

Worst time-skip ending in a long running drama ever, I'm not satisfied with this half-assed outcome. This 6-years time skip was awful, none of the stories ended up as I hoped. Not a single pair ended up together "officially". The pairings were awful altogether anyway. Dal Hee didn't get punished enough.

Random remarks:
Hong Shi smile will resolve any conflict in a second. Since I saw Byun Jung Soo in "Manny (2011)", I can only remember her as Janice as she screams "I'm Janice!". Lee Yoo Ri cameo around the ending was superb.

Some serious illogical assery in spoilers:
- Dal Hee/Sera Park, Miss Lee and Tae Soo all were alive and barely punished at the end but Se Kyung is dead. In what absurd logic does this make sense!!

- They built up Ha Ri and Gi Chan to be together for +50 episodes, they confessed their feelings to each other, their parents in law agreed to give them their blessings, yet somehow for whatever bullshit reason the love interest shifted towards Se Joon in the last 5 episodes. They didn't even have that many scenes together, let alone the none existent chemistry. Kang Ha Ri got robbed, barely any screen time and shitty love path.

- Eun Hyang and Hwan Seung not ending up together is another random bullshit. Oh Yoon Ah put 200% in her performance.

First - why I watched a year later. After suffering through 120 plus episodes of dismal writing and poor acting in daily dramas I decided to start watching dramas with over 50 and under 100 episodes that are at least 45 minutes to an hour long. This would fill in the void of the poorly written daily dramas that have permeated Kdrama land over the past 2 or 3 years. I love to marathon dramas since I am retired so this one kept me glued to my chair for about a week.

The story. The story was extremely entertaining and imaginative. It had that Jang Bo Ri feeling and the viewer will enjoy the evolution and retribution of more than one evil and demented minded character throughout. There are serious flaws in the storyline - the usual class conscience mothers, the low IQ police, the failure to do what naturally would come to mind if you have common sense, but all of these flaws keep the story moving forward at a pace that does not cause boredom, although you begin to fast forward through some of the scenes that seem superfluous. An attempt at light comedy in many situations made the drama more entertaining, but sometimes I found the humor unnecessary or burdensome to the situation it was applied. This drama focused more on romance for the older generation and let the younger generation barely involved in meaningful relationship development. . Just wish the writers would have tried to focus on more meaningful encounters between the younger actors.

Acting -- Veteran actors that truly did an amazing job in all of the scenes they were cast. They truly carried this drama to the very end. The newbies did well because they had to rise to the level of the veterans. No one did a lackluster or flat role portrayal. Probably awards were given out at the end because of their performances.

Music- the soundtracks did not distract and were appropriate to the mood of the scene.

Rewatch - no-- 68 hours is a long time. If they had compressed this drama into 32 hours it might be but unless there is absolutely no Kdramas or Chinese dramas to watch in my lifetime - no way.

This isn't my first longer 50+ episode drama. I have seen Father is Strange, Five Enough, Jang Bori is here, My Only One, All About Mom, My Golden Life and now just finished Sister is Alive.

I had high expectations because it was the same writer as Jang Bori, and I love me some Jang Bori. When watching these longer dramas, you are going to see all the cliches and eye rolling moments. You will also be able to point out somewhere between 1 to 10 plot holes depending on how good the writing is. This show has about 40 to 50 glaring plot holes, and I am not exaggerating even a little bit. The writer clearly lost control of this somewhere after episode 20ish, and never got it back on track. The acting is great, especially Kim Da Som. So without spoiling I will list a few grips.

- This is supposed to be about 3 woman overcoming tragedy. At some point the writer just stopped including the character Kang Ha Ri, who you think is going to be a major part of the story, if not the main protagonist. There are supporting characters in this show that get almost double the amount of screen time. She is just completely forgotten about, and doesn't even get a story line of her own. For someone who is a lead in this show, it is very strange, and the first time I have seen a lead get completely ignored this badly in a 50+ drama.

- Kang Ha Ri's sister is played by an young actress that has actually been the lead in other dramas. They also ignore her. There are completely uninteresting characters that get a ton of screen time, but someone like her is ignored when she can actually carry a show on her own. It's baffling.

- The show is almost insulting with the way they portray autism and blindness.

- Another drama where the poor people who do bad things to try and get rich end up not learning their lessons and do not receive a redemption. There are 3 main villains, the two ones from a poor background get the shaft, while the rich girl learns her lesson and gets a redemption ending in a bittersweet way.

- All the bad characters are female. I understand that every story needs a villain, and sometimes that villain should be female because that's how numbers work. But in this drama, all the main bad characters are women. It gets kind of old. (these women are crazy stereotype)

I am not saying don't watch this one. It has all the fun stuff you want in a drama. You just have to tolerate that the writers simply didn't care to make any sense in this one. It has all the drama, but you have to constantly fight off the fact that you notice plot hole after plot hole after plot hole. Some episodes it happens 3 or 4 times. I expect plot holes when you have to write 54 hours of content. I don't expect them to happen this much. I wasn't rolling my eyes because of the silliness that dramas provide. I was rolling my eyes on how bad the writer just didn't get how some of the stuff didn't make sense in the context of the story.

This comes off as more of a rant, but I feel this story was wildly incoherent, and this is the worst of the 50+ episode dramas I have watched.
