Okay.. love Lee Sung-Kyun. He does so well in everything. I could see others playing his role, but as usual he just brought in something different, and almost endearing to what would be considered a mostly unlikable character. He just has a way about him. Maybe that's why I didn't rate the movie that high. Just the way things unfolded.
He starts off and maintains his character throughout. There are moments when he goes through certain events that change him. The story goes as one would assume. Some aspects are just so wrong and morally corrupt that I was almost cringing at how much my mind didn't want some things to happen.
I did picture something else. Though the shock value at other points just WOW. Honestly one could rewatch this almost immediately. It's very well done. Stays true to the concept. Not really even one cop out. Which I greatly appreciated. Give it a go. It's dark, unfair, sad, thrilling, shocking, disappointing, well thought out, and very well planned.

The plot was very well written, practically no flaws, at least no major discrepancies. From how it started to how it unfolded, the pacing to the plot twists were written in a way that it was either unpredictable or when it was it was an engaging/thrilling anticipation.
The characterizations were relatively good, although I wish the "bad guy" had more depth to him and more reasoning to his behavior rather than being somewhat of a straw villain, otherwise this would've been at least a 9.5/10 for me.
They wrapped it all up pretty good and I can't have imagined it turning out any other way and it being as satisfying albeit a tad noir.
P.s. they could've done without the disgusting scene to be honest, or just not show it in graphic detail.
