The 2 actors had great chemistry and I actually got more invested in these episodes than I thought I would. The actors had some great scenes together that showcased their chemistry and probably had all the viewers rooting for their relationship like the best friend did haha
I also thought the music went quite well with this episode. It was nice and light just like the drama and played at the crucial times where you needed music
Definitely will watch this one again.

THIS MINI SERIES DESERVES A FULL STORY!
First of all, the casting for the main characters is a job well done! Even the girl best friend is fun to watch! The chemistry of the main characters is spot on and i couldn't ask for more except for a longer screen time and a full story for this series. A good 10 to 12 episode where we can fully engaged with this awesome "BL couple", although in those 4 episodes i can see what the writers trying to convey. Nevertheless, I like the story line and where the characters are going! I just wish to see them both in another BL series or something like a sequel or prequel for this mini series. Was this review helpful to you?
Cliche but Cute
This story brought nothing new to the table in terms of plot, story, characters, or setting. It is a very safe story with nothing pushing the boundaries outside fluff. But this isn't a bad thing! Its the perfect story for those days you just want to curl up and watch a simple, sweet, cute, and quick drama. I just got to sit back and watch a natural romance between two men develop without having to become invested in anything. The characters are cute and the chemistry between the two male protagonists is adorable. Nothing steamy or overwhelming. Their romance developed naturally and without the infatuation at first sight we get in a lot of romance dramas. The female best friend was amazing and I think we can all identify with her character at one point in our lives.

Is my opinion, so disagree in a good way not a bad way.
The line separates, where the spiolers is. So below the line, is where contain spoilers.Yeah overall it's a 8.0 for me, if you just missing some queer stuff to watch. Without so much drama, violence etc. I can recommend it, same with rewatch. You don't have to follow intense with it.
This is a harmless BL serie, and I quite like that. Because somtimes I think, it can be too much with violence etc. So yeah, younger people can watch it too, without their parents get nervouser over what they seen.
______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The plot is basic, like many other BL series. It's not the reasons , why I just give the story 7.0 The reasons is, I can't get out of my mind. That Cheng Qings father and Feng Hes mother got married, so Cheng Qing and Feng He became stepbrother. For me is just ruined something of the story, because is seems so wierd to me, That stepsiblings fall in love with each other. I know there no related things between them as blood or something like that. It will be okay, if they had feelings for each other, before they got stepbrotheres, or was in relationship before.
Yeah I know for many, will my opinion don't make sense and will be crazy. But it's just how my brain works.
The other thing is, why I just give it 7.0. Beacuse in the end, I miss something, I miss that we could see how it goes with Cheng and He, After they movde together, not for give us a clearly answer on. How their relationship is between them, are they boyfriends, just stepbrotheres and eachothers friends at the same time etc. But just to see how it's goes with Chengs actor, and what He will study to.
But I got also mad at Meng Meng, for write a letter to Cheng, where it should look like from He. It was too much, because she knew that. Their had become stepbrothers. But sometime she was too obsessed with Cheng and He too. I didn't like that.
But I loved the acting/cast so much, special the chemistry between Duke Wu {Cheng Qing] and Edison Song [Feng He]
Yeah overall it's a 8.0 for me, if you just missing some queer stuff to watch. Without so much drama, violence etc. I can recommend it, same with rewatch. You don't have to follow intense with it.

Outright poor development, with bad acting.
Tired tropes: arrogant actor star, boring nerd boy, overzealous fujoshi, wrongfully placed kiss, couple that can't even make out after they agree to be together because the producers were too cowardly. Honestly, the idea that these characters were even SLIGHTLY interested in each other is totally unsupported by zero chemistry shown on screen and little in the story besides the fact that one takes care of the other out of a sense of duty to his parents. And Edison Song's inability to express anything is comical. These guys end up together in the last 2 minutes of the series, yet all they do is HUG? Wow, such fire! And when we see Cheng Qing in History 3, there's no reference to whether these two characters had a relationship that went anywhere. Why? Well, given what we see here, I highly doubt they did!Was this review helpful to you?

Very cute but they are brothers
Okay so i know that they are step brothers, but like in my culture or like in any culture thats still a little weird. so i look 2 stars off for that. and that was the only stars i took off because besides the fact that they are brothers i think this series is pretty solid. The two main characters chemistry was amazing. like the tension between those two was phenomenal. Something that i didnt really vibe with was the fact that there was a few things in Chinese that just wouldnt translate into english (the letter for example) so i had to go on the dark web a.k.a google translate to find out what it meant, but i wouldnt take a star off for that because thats just my fault for not be able to read chinese. Finally the best friends is actually like the mvp and one of the best support roles i think i have ever seen. Like she was a huge fan her best friends (step) brother and was like kind of in love with him, but instead of using her best friend to get with him she was just shipping (forcefully) them together and writing fan fiction about them. That is the best friend we all want but cant have. I am also content with how the brothers/lovers made up in the end...though i wish they had a bit more time as lovers. Final verdict 8/10.Also sorry for grammar errors. english is my first language i just suck at it

When I thought finally HIStory series that have make sense story & logic, they close the curtain with that kind of ending...Story about 2 man that meet up when their parent married each other & make them into brothers. At first, like brothers meet up when they old, they can't get along too well. Different personalities, lifestyle & everything make a little problem seem big & can be a bigger issue. But nevertheless Cheng Qing (CQ) & Feng He (FH) try their best to get along with each other, especially FH. And over time they get warmer with each other.
And overtime the sibling feeling start to grow into something more. & with the help of FH's friend, Meng Meng (MM) , they're 'forced' to acknowledge their feeling to each other.
And that's when our problem begin... And that's BIG SPOILER ALERT FOR YOU!!!! So if you don't want to know just stop reading until here!!!
Overall between the 3 mini series this drama has. For me this one is the most make sense
The doesn't make sense logic or plot!
We don't get the feeling when FH regrets his decisions to reject QC's feeling. I know FH keep pondering about his own feeling. But i just don't feel it reach us. It just suddenly he has a change of heart with the flick of finger, happen so abruptly. It's like whatever FH considered about their relationship's problem it's not important anymore...
And the messed up things MM did... Ugh!!!! Don't let me start on that one....

A CLICHE PLOT OF 2 STEP BROTHERS FALLING IN LOVE
Nothing special. M watching the HIStory series and so I decided to watch this. I already knew it doesn't really have much to offer but since it's just 4 episodes, I watched it in 1.5x speed. A simple polt - 2 step brothers suddenly living together, buliding up of feelings, misunderstanding, kissing, denial, aproval ..and happy ever after. That's it.The only plus point I find is, though it was a short drama, it didn't feel like it was very fast paced or there was jumping through scenes, which usually happens in many mini series. Overall it's not bad. I mean it's not unwatchable. But yeah I wouldn't re-watch it because there's nothing much to it.

Ok so I liked the couple, they had really good chemistry. I always enjoyed watching their scenes. If it was just the couple I would have given this drama a higher rating... but sadly there was also Meng Meng.I disliked her from the beginning on bc she made Feng He uncomfortable by shipping him with his stepbrother that he just met and imagining scenes that also made him really uncomfortable. I had hopes that she wouldn't get worse but she did, she wrote a fan fiction about them and published it, she stalked them, took pictures of them, wrote a love letter and then made Feng He give it to Chen Ching so he would think it's from him. That was the moment when I really wanted to slam her head against the wall.
Now what I've been thinking about what she did while watching:
1. She took their opportunity to realise their feelings in a natural way and have a good confession
2. What if Chen Ching was homophobic, they didn't know him for long and also she really doesn't know anything about him, she only sees him at school and knows the things that Feng He told her. She didn't care for her best friend, she was just selfish
3.What if Feng He really didn't like Chen Ching and they would have been awkward with each other for the rest of their lives
4. What if both of them didn't like each other but Chen Ching wouldn't believe Feng He that the confession letter is not from him and they still would have been awkward with each other for the rest of their lives
5. Even now that they're happy, Feng He can never trust her again bc she was being so creepy and also their friendship will never be the same again
6.I wish he had never forgiven her, yes she was his best friend for a long time, but that is not how best friends act.
I really hate her and I wish this drama was without a character like that. Still I really enjoyed the drama especially the scenes that were only between the couple.

The overall score of this film for me is 7, which in MDL is technically "I like it" which is really true, I mean I watched the entire movie, never did I skipped a single scene, and I do encourage everyone to check this BL out. But if you check out my other reviews, I usually give good high scores, so 7 is a little bit of a low score for me even if in MDL it's essentially an ok score, as it's the I like it score. Let me explain why I gave this movie only a score of 7, I have nothing against Duke and Edison, I mean these are really two cute and gorgeous actors. With that said, my issue is in the casting. I personally don't think that they have a chemistry. I'm just not feelin' it. If I said that I think they have chemistry, that will be lying. Again there is nothing wrong with Duke and Edison, it's just that they are not clicking together. My suggested solution to this reality really is for Duke and Edison to do more acting workshops together, in that way both of them will be more used to each other, and this will translate to better chemistry and their acting skills will improve, as they are giving me a very stiff performance. I think the director should have picked up on this more, by giving the actors more rehearsals, and more acting training. Stay Away from Me has a challenging theme, they essentially become step brothers, and step brothers falling in love with each other is one of the common BL plots, so basically the job of the actors is to convince us that they truly love each other, and that their BL film will provide a fresh new approach to this common recurring theme. I think the writing and plot lines should have given the actors more room, so they can tackle their roles and give more life to their characters. These are major issues that totally have a film wide impact. As for the music and the fan made music videos that I've seen in other sites, I think its beautiful. I mean these edited videos showed the potentials of the movie as Stay Away from Me has an interesting plot, but the thing is, the movie has structural issues that prevented it to fully give its viewers a satisfying experience. Again, the two actors are very good looking, it's just that they need more time in rehearsals and acting workshops and I personally think they'll be fine. I do believe that in their future movies, they will become more seasoned and more experience, and as an actor they will grow as they gain more experience and exposure in their acting career. Good luck to Duke and Edison! Was this review helpful to you?

This was my last story from HIstory 1 and I liked but not loved it. I think it's not fair to compare them to the other ones since each one has a different plot and situation.Cheng Qing is a famous drama actor but he's still studying at highschool and trying to get good grades. Fen He is a really focused and responsible student and this two boys get to meet by chance but later they found out that their parents got married so they are sort of brothers from now on. CQ moves to live with FH while their parents are on their honeymoon, but feelings start to get in the way.
I think this story was sweet and slow. We really see the conflict that FH has if he start to like his famous step brother and CQ also start to feel things after his stepbrother's rudeness. They have really good scenes together and I personally tgink the actors delivered good performances.
Still it doesn't have the intensity or the drama of the previous stories so this is a simpler one. I liked Meng Meng, the fujoshi friend because I think I am a lot like her myself.... (I don't write fics but I love BL dramas) so it's cool. Overall I enjoyed this last one even though I wanted to see a proper kiss scene.

My problem is, the actor itself I didn’t feel any connection amongst them. If we talked about how good Feng He was, of course He is but when we saw the chemistry with Cheng Qing is quite awful actually.
However, a plus point came from Meng Meng. I always adore a fujoshi that created a story that seems impossible become a real one. A double thumbs for her and certainly her performance!
2 done, more to go! I’ll finish all of the History franchise! woo hoo
