Quite honestly, the original Korean version was better than the Japanese version. Don't get me wrong, I thought this one was very well made and the acting was great, but the stories of both dramas was very similar so I will focus on the other points. Although this is a love story, I thought that the Korean version dealt with more of the musical significance and the play out of each character than the Japanese version did. The Japanese version focused a lot more on Miko, the main character girl instead of her brother, while in the Korean version, the brother was mentioned as a looming presence. Of course though, that the brother is not the main part of the story, but I feel like Mio was somehow completely dismissed and gone from the storyline, even though he does play a part in the show. Also, these people are in a band, and yet you only hear two songs sung by them (this could be my bias since I love music). Anyway, if you greatly enjoyed the Korean version, then you will love this show as well. They are very similar, so if you don't like watching the same thing twice, then maybe you shouldn't watch this. There are some things that are different, but nothing serious.

I am a die hard \"You\''re Beautiful\" fan and after watching this I still prefer the K-version over the J-version. I thought the J-version seemed to be missing the depth, humor and feeling (and hotness) of the K-version. However, on saying this, it was still very good and the ending was much better and more finished then the K-version. It took that extra two minutes and finished it off so nicely. I also loved that they brought in Jang Geun Suk in one of the episodes as himself, ah so cute.
I also thought the J-version did very well in voicing Ren and Mio\''s like for each other. \"Ren\" the Hwang Tae Kyung of this version grew on me pretty fast. So I was able to accept him quickly. \"Mio\" the Go Mi Nam of this version is very good also and is pretty much the same in either version to me just not quite as ditzy acting. The other two main guys I never really excepted very well I can\''t even remember there names in J-version. Sadly, it was too hard for me not to compare them to Jeremy and Shin woo. But the story is not entirely the same so it was different enough to keep me interested. I still liked it a lot because the story is still a great one.

You can't really compare these two because if you try you will not be able to watch the J version.

The story is pretty good but of course a lot of things are left out because the episode count is cut down. They did a good job of including the important scenes. I didn't bother watching the last episode cause I kind of got bored with this drama but I heard the ending is better than the K version.

The cast was great and did the best they could, but I didnt really care about their characters. The entire cast didnt have the same chemistry that the K version did. Still everyone managed to pull off thier parts.

The music in this was just good. I kind of forgot they were playing a band because except for 2 scenes you didnt really see them practice or play anything. Definitely cant compare to the Korean OST.

I'm not sure I'd rewatch this or not just because I could watch the K version.

Overall this isnt bad or amazing its average. I'd recommend watching the Korean version if you find the summary interesting.

One of the best J-Dramas i have watched of late...

I literally forgot to review this one since i finished it around last month, but here we are.

I have also seen the original version and i am glad to say this version of You`re Beautiful is so well done. I laughed, smiled and cried with all the characters. The actress portraying the female lead did a incredible job in conveying her emotions in wearing her heart on her sleeve and the actor portraying Male Lead Yuta Tamamori did so well with his cold exterior but added that touch of heart to his character that conveyed how deeply lonely and hurt he felt. Ah, he had a heart of gold.
They were so very lovely and beautiful together. Glad i watched this drama!!
