Operation Red Sea (2018)

The general premise (gotta evacuate citizens from some nebulous African nation in turmoil) is pretty similar, and both are big action flicks.

Directed by the same director, Dante Lam. Both are based on real-life events of chinese operatives rescuing chinese nationals in danger overseas. One taking place in Thailand and one in Yemen.

Both intensely focuses on Chinese Military training, operations and various other aspects. The army prospect is well portrayed in both of them.
