A comedy that pokes fun at historical China. You'll also find a bit of mystery and lots of comedy. There are also a few mentions of modern-day jargon. The FL also starts out not wanting to live in the palace, and not wanting to fall in love with ML.

Both romantic, historical dramas. Although Mengfei Comes Across is a bit more light-hearted

Mengfei Comes Across and Oh My Emperor are similar, because these shows are both light, hilarious, and with a heroine that is cheeky and endearing at the same time. In both series the ladies dislike the leading men at first but love is in the air.

the same ridiculous 4rth wall breaking historical romance. they both are comedic versions of many palace drama and historical cliches.

Mengfei Comes Across and Go Princess Go are both rom-coms set in ancient times. These shows mix modern day issues with the classic tale of court intrigue at the palace. In both shows the heroines are getting along with the concubines, in stead of fighting them until death. On the contrary, they really dislike their husbands, using their wit to avoid them or undermine their actions, but later on love comes by.

In both drama the mc is a consort in the palace who doesnt really want to be part of the intrigues. They would rather spend their time leisurely instead. That of course doesnt stop our ml from falling in love with them. Both drama are lighthearted and focus more on the comedy.

I am truly enjoying this series. I wish I could watch it all at once and not have to wait. It doesn't hurt that Caesar Wu is so handsome and truly is carrying his part magnificently. He seems to really immerse himself in the part. The FL is also doing a great job. They seem to fit into their roles as if born to it. Great job directing, producing and script writing. The whole staff should be praised. I give a 10 out of 10 in all areas. Keep up the good work. I just put that title because I needed it.

Both are historical comedies set within the royal palace, with both FLs shaking up the ML's life with their unconventional ways.

They both take on similar approaches to their story by making them lighthearted and just fun to watch! They both actually make fun of the existing tropes within the historical period dramas, and the female leads are quite similar as well.

Gina Jin is simply AMAZING when it comes to being able to portray the concubine who isnt even slightly impressed with the in-fighting among concubines vying for the Prince's attention, and displays good comedic chops and also not scared to simply be quirky. Definitely a fun one to watch!

Absolute chaos, laughter and a opposites attract couple. While there are lots of differences between the two i honestly believe they belong in the same category.

They are very similar productions. Both Royal harem comedies, of high quality (sadly too few eps) where the female lead does NOT have a high pitched voice or a completely vapid personality.

The general vibe is the same especially with the side stories and both couples are really cute.
If you like Mengfei Comes Across you'll also like Chef Fang.
