Story: To be honest the story started our amazing and i'm not just saying that because it started with a sex scene. The events that happened allowed me to get a grasp of the characters and their personalities. Towards the middle of the series things got weird. By that i mean the random events that were happening that just made no sense at the time. I figured it was just filler but then towards the end IT ALL came together. I was amazed and i loved it so much. The content could only be described as juicy :^) The only thing i could complain about was the relationship between P'pu and the teacher. While they were cute i felt it was too awkward and a bit forced. Like they were trying to force something to happen. Other than that it was amazing!
Acting/Cast: So let me just start by saying YIHWA!!!!! she was by far my favorite character in the series. Despite how amazingly cute Korn and Knock were i really loved her acting. She played her part of the pretty mean girl that takes care of her friends so well. Then the relationship between Korn and Knock couldn't have been more cuter. They looked so comfortable during the series in fact I was starting to suspect they were more than just friends outside of the series. As much as i love giving positive feedback i must say that there were a multitude of times during the series where Korn made this weird face. At first i figured it was just something they told him to do but that doesn't make sense as the face failed to portray the right emotion at that time. So for that i have to deduct some points. Also I have seen this in many other dramas and it also happens with the "straight guy's" girlfriend. They all talk weird. Their speech is so awkward compared to the other characters it seems forced and unnatural. Lucky for the series i wont deduct points for something i don't fully understand.
Music: ahem *searches YouTube for Together With Me ost* this series has a good mix of music and i have some of the songs dowloaded because i love listening to them. They also did an amazing job at playing the right songs at the right time. It makes a huge different in the emotion of the person watching when they start to play the opening/ending song at a certain point.
Re-watch value: 10 10 10 10 10 10. I have watched this series 4 times and i promise you that i don't mind watching it a 5th. It just gets so good as it progresses. It doesn't drop any key components that keep the audience watching (except maybe towards the middle where it gets confusing like i said). But by then the audience is already caught in the Korn Knock love story that they continue to find all the pieces come together.

The plot doesn't break much new ground in terms of what BL series can and have done, but the acting is so well done that I don't mind too much. Right now I've moved onto Bad Romance, but the difference in quality (and probably budget) is pretty vast. I wish I had started with Bad Romance and then watched Together With Me followed by Together With Me: The Next Chapter. All I can think about while watching Bad Romance is how much I miss the characters from Together With Me, and how much better the acting was in the prequel.
I think of this show as a happy balance between the serious SOTUS and the hilarious Diary of a Tootsie. The BTS and vlogs from the two main leads are also worth watching. Their chemistry on and off air is better than any other BL pairing I've come across.

why tf is this drama rating so high lol
bruh tf, this by far is the worst drama I have ever watched. The only people likeable in this drama are Korn and Yihwa and her friend. The other characters are either dumb or stupid or i just dont care. After all the things that this mf Knock has done to Korn, in the end they made them make up so easily tf. Like all those time of leading him on, hurting him and giving him false hope was for the nothing lol the story is so fucking dumb that i cant even. the story of the side characters also dont interest me much. They dont make sense or i just dont care about them much. Like literally everyone in this drama is basic trash except one or two characters. I only stuck around because the subber who wrote these i.e lazysubber was very funny otherwise i would have dropped this long ago. This drama just gives you a headache and nothing is good. Like Korn shouldn't really end with that bitch Knock. Save yourself the hassle and dont watch this. Was this review helpful to you?
I always find it challenging to find a decent romance asian drama that I can actually enjoy. The problem that I find with many of these dramas I have watched is that they leech onto misunderstandings and miscommunications which negatively the characters involved. These instances are usually accompanied by characters purposely not addressing or trying to solve the issues at hand. Whether it is to create more drama, surprise the viewers, or make the final reconciliation of the characters more meaningful, it frustrates me so much and deprives me of the happiness I expect from watching a romantic show. Furthermore, the root of my frustration is the unjustifiable actions of the characters involved with these issues.
The sequel to this drama, Bad Romance, did an excellent job in doing exactly this and pissing me off lol. Throughout the drama, Knock, to me, acted like a complete petty and disrespectful bitch toward Korn. He would get upset about the most minor things that Korn did not even know of (due to the stupidity of the problems) and essentially torture Korn for a couple of episodes until he wanted to make up with him. Of course I could tell Knock didn't have any bad intentions for Korn and actually deep down was a kindhearted individual, but he stretched the issues WAYYYY too much and far. Bad Romance also focused too much on the heterosexual couples, when what I really wanted to see were two gay guys happily in a relationship together. You could therefore imagine how unsure I was about watching Together with me as I was afraid it would be equally as frustrating and boring. However, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about Knock and Korn actually having bed and kissing scenes (according to articles I read at the time regarding Together with me) and the need for closure, so I caved in. I can now confidently say that I am glad I watched Together with me.
ACTUAL REVIEW
STORY
For ONCE I found a romance drama that is both understandable AND enjoyable. Before watching Together with me I really thought that Knock would act the same way with Korn and treat him like a bitch in Bad Romance. Contrary to what others might say, I think that Knock's actions were completely normal and in fact made this drama more realistic. Let's be honest, Pleng is a manipulative bitch and it frustrated me whenever I saw them together for that reason. During their screen time together I would always think to myself "U BITCH KNOCK WTF GO TO KORN THIS PLENG BITCH MEANS NOTHING TO U". This frustration, however, did not rise from unjustifiable actions, so it therefore did not ruin the whole drama experience for me, rather, it made it more realistic. Imagine if you were to get drunk and sleep with ur best friend while already in a relationship, be in denial about your feelings, and be confused about your sexuality, all while not wanting to hurt your girlfriend who claims to have done alot for you. What people fail to realize is the reality of the situation from Knock's perspective. Since people know that Knock and Korn are destined to be together, they automatically assume that any obstacle or delay in their relationship is a bad thing and shouldn't happen without considering the internal confusion Knock feels of liking someone of the opposite sex and not wanting to disappoint his girlfriend. Furthermore, Knock's on and off flirtatious behaviour with Korn is an expression of this confusion and is a quality of the drama I did not mind at all for that reason. Of course, it would be nice to not be frustrated and just watch Korn and Knock acting lovey-dovey with each other, but there was a perfect balance between these sweet moments and reality that made this drama just as good as watching a completely happy one with no kind of drama. HOWEVER in a few of the very later episodes, I felt like they dragged on Knock's confusion-based actions and just made him look like a complete idiot which I will not go into detail about because then I would have to spoil what happened ;). You will know what I'm talking about if you have a similar mentality to me lol.
Korn is just a sweetheart who always wants the best for others, especially Knock. I believe that he did not misunderstand any of Knock's actions, rather, he was just jealous which honestly made the scenes with him and knock following the jealousy even hotter and more enjoyable. I can't say much more though ;)
To be completely honest I was really only interested in the story of Korn and Knock (despite Farm being so fucking adorable) that at about episode 9 I started skimming through every scene that did not involve Korn and/or Knock so I don't really know for sure what happened to the other characters' relationships. Quite frankly, however, I don't care LOL. If they ended up doing stupid stuff I didn't care because like I said before I only focused on Korn and Knock's relationship with the involvement of Yihwa. Speaking of Yihwa, she never fails to impress me as one of the most bold, badass, and kindhearted characters who helped Korn and Knock get together. If it wasn't for her, they probably wouldn't have gotten together at the end of it all. That's all I'm gunna say though :).
To sum it all up, a great realistic story (concerning Korn and Knock) with the right amount of everything EXCEPT for the little bits near the end as mentioned before. I would rate the story a 10 if it weren't for those bits, but unfortunately I must consider them in my final rating.
ACTING/CAST
Yihwa's characters was hands down the most exceptionally played. For one thing, her sarcastic tone in almost everything she says is absolute gold. The actress who played her really gave Yihwa that badass yet caring friend image in a very realistic way. The actors who played Korn and Knock did an amazing job at making the kiss/bed scenes very realistic and passionate. That's literally all I want to say lol. These reasons alone were why I give acting such a high rating.
The rest of the characters were played well to be completely honest. I just don't want to write about them because I'm not really interested in them... :)
MUSIC
I don't really focus on the music used in a drama/film, but if I have to say one thing it's that the music used in this drama was relatively better than in most dramas I have watched. That doesn't mean I actually like the music they used though, but it is more bearable than some of those shitty ballads some korean dramas I know use off the top of my head.
REWATCH VALUE
I would never watch this drama again. There would really be no point in doing so other than watching the romantic scenes between Korn and Knock. Instead of spending 520+ minutes watching stuff I already watched with full knowledge of the situation I could easily go on youtube and watch any scenes I want from the show knowing the context behind them. I just find that in general dramas/shows are always worse after the first time they are watched due to a combination of their length and full knowledge of their situations.
OVERALL
For my overall score I obviously did not consider each full category. The following points were the only ones that I took into consideration:
- Lack of stupidity (overall and of the main characters)
- Hot scenes between Korn and Knock
- The satisfaction the ending provided me with
- The desire to finish the drama
On one final note, I'm glad I watched this drama. Not only did it revolve around a homosexual couple composed of two very attractive men, it also made the situation of this couple very realistic for the most part. If you're bored, feel lonely, and/or want to watch two asian guys together romantically, this is the drama for you. Did I mention the amazing and hot bed and kiss scenes?

Overall, this was a solid, sound story with absolutely AMAZING characters and actors. I loved every minute of it, and the main storylines were well-written and excellently portrayed and I was incredibly invest in them - all of them EXCEPT Phubet. But we'll get to that later.Knock and Korn might be the best characters, or best actors, that I have seen in any BL so far. Their chemistry and the emotions that they have the ability to portray on screen are captivating. They go through so many ups and downs and are the victims of the juiciest evil subplot I've ever seen and their intensity at every twist and turn shows on their faces in a way I can't explain. They move through the expected phases of their relationship so naturally, unlike so many other dramas where things always tend to feel forced, or they are put into super weird situations to alter the plot in their favor. Their love seems so genuine and their decisions make so much sense. I never got mad at either of them for their reactions, like I have at other shows.
I feel like I need to give Yihwa like... And entire page? An entire novel? But at the same time, there aren't enough words? Yihwa is... The best friend anyone could ever ask for. Her personality is amazing. She is absolutely stunning. Supportive. Caring. Passionate. Kind. Smart. Just perfection.
Farm and Bright started off pretty well, and I actually really appreciated the poly angle, although I don't like where it ended up. I do see that where it went is where it could go, though. As much as I'd hoped for a healthy poly portrayal, Farm is that character and that was the only outcome given the situation he was put into. I don't know where it goes in Bad Romance, but I'm not looking forward to how hard it will be to watch. Even the last episode was cringey, seeing the innocent Farm so dark so suddenly. Ugh.
The antagonist storyline in this show was EPIC. I've not seen such a good, dramatic, well-thought out antagonist in ANY of the series I've watched, this is completely a first. Especially because it lasted the entire series. There were some antagonists in other series that would last an episode or two, but then fall off. This bitch, however, was not exposed until the end, and was even expertly and slowly disclosed to the audience. Like, even we didn't know she was an evil bitch until well after she had been an evil bitch. It was excellent. I was so here for it, the entire time.
And now I'm gonna talk about Phu, the handsome playboy who sees something he likes and will stop at no end to get it. Aka EW. He's not supposed to be disliked, I don't think, but I sure dislike him. He gave me the creeps the entire time, and there was one episode where I just legit yelled at my TV about his toxic ass being toxic. He 'falls' for the teacher who he barely knows because she is hot or something and then he won't take no for an answer. She is firm and clear with him and he doesn't respect her at all - he risks her career and never even for a moment considers her feelings as he continues to pursue her and manipulate the shit out of her until she gets with him. He blackmails her and ambushes her and even yells at her once that she is running away from her problems when she bans him from her class. Like, no you rapey asshat, she's running from you because you are a toxic monster. But she caves when he says that and is legit tricked in such a stereotypical way, again and again, until she thinks it's her idea to get together and I'm just like this is a case study on toxic relationships right here. Ew. So much Ew.
I really wonder where that is going to go. I didn't watch Bad Romance first, but I wonder if their relationship is toxic as hell in that one, and if that is the case, and they wanted to show how that toxic relationship started, I will come back here and give this show ten stars. If it's intentional. I hope it is, I hope that that isn't a standard for love anywhere in the world, because that shit isn't love.
Anyway, I loved this show almost as much as What the Duck, actually maybe more. Maybe. We'll see.

The story itself was also interesting, especially the vindictiveness of the various girlfriends, Knock’s in particular. Murder Club 101! They sure went the extra mile to get revenge. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I hate cheating and cheaters but, girls, just break up with them, that’s enough. Especially when you’re not all that innocent yourself. On the other hand, it sure made the story more interesting…
I also loved all the friendships in this series. Especially Yiwha was amazing, the way she rooted for Korn and Knock, her friendship with Korn, her determination to prove that Knock’s girlfriend was an evil mastermind… Great girl, that one.
I’m aware that there’s a certain controversy surrounding the plot of S2 but I will still watch it because a) Korn & Knock are burning hot and b) Max & Tul are just great in these roles. Needs must.

Overall the plot was well arranged and the chemistry between all the Actors in preceptable. But some characters clearly deserved more screen time/play and we also needed to know more about their background stroy, or at least what they ended up doing in the future. The soundtrack is very nice, with different genres which swetted the situations.
I especially really like it cause it's differeng from any other Drama i've ever watched, it's unpredictable, funny, interesting, round characters and everything is just where it's supposed to be. A nice job.

Now I have watched this Series, I must really say (even it was too late for me by 3 years), this series is really great and I think that is because of story line and how maxtul makes everything for you to love the whole show. WELL overall it has all the ingredients I need to really APPRECIATE this series. Comedy, Love and Drama are all IN.
Honestly, what makes it beautiful is somehow the reality could bind us with what is happening inside every plot of the story. Well we do not wanted to have a bad things or bad guys in our life but I only know is that I want somebody and real friend who could protect us and support us no matter what. This is really thing in this episode.
That Yihwa in our life? Yessss! I wanted that friend in my life. She is so fierce, strong, supportive and funny at the same time thats why I enjoy watching her.
All in all this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BL SERIES

But there is a next season so hopefully somewhere in the future we'll see more of him. Anyway, tbh I want this series to have many more seasons! Also, this show is way more um "naughty" ^_^ to use a polite term, than anything in Bad Romance or anything else Asian, so there's that.
Seriously the skin ship will make you blush and want for more, I love that :') Also, there is no comparison to Bad Romance production value wise and content wise. Where Bad Romance is more guilty pleasure fun this one is really deep and the dialog Bad Romance had its moments no doubt but this one is all epic moments.
As for the main characters I totally enjoy Yihwah and her antics. She and Cho made me totally root for them in Bad Romance. Since this a prequel and the focus is more on Knock and Korn you get more of their story. Asian romance can get dark without breaking out of the rom com feel and honestly it totally works for me.
What I love about Knock and Korn is that despite Knock being confused about his sexuality, because he feels love for Korn without reason you can never say that Korn is loving him pointlessly. It's not a shallow relationship from either side.
They both love each other and can't be without one another. It was so amazing to watch them go through the highs and lows of their happiness and heartbreak without ever hating the other person. The way they knew everything about the other person and how they missed them when they weren't around.
Seriously, just go watch. It's amazing.

[REWATCHED IN 2023]
Rewatching this after so many years and after so many new high budget, 'fancy' BL series, I can honestly say TWM is still better on almost all fronts and in almost all ways than new BL's. There are few other Asian BL's I enjoyed as much, let alone got so attached to all the characters. Especially Korn ❤️Now that I've watched it again I was able to enjoy it even more than the first time.
If you want a show that's not overacted, over make up'd, over written, over bleach white, over messy and just overdone in general, with an entire cast with great chemistry, some easy flowing humor and of course, MaxTul®, this show still holds up in my opinion.
I'm changing my rating to 10.
