While the story is not anything particularly special, certain scenes were written and shot in a way to be very heartfelt, and the overall tone of this drama felt slow and very real. It's not a happy drama, but I think that adds to the slice-of-life effect; it wasn't a happy ending per se, but I felt an odd catharsis watching this. Shim Hee Sub was amazing in this, and I'm glad he's getting more gigs after Rebel. Lee Won Geun is an adorable actor, but I felt that his performance was just okay in this (mostly due to how his character was written). Sooyoung still has a lot of room for improvement, but I applaud her for taking on a role that requires a lot of emotional investment such as this one. The music was very fitting, but didn't stand out. Overall, this drama might not be for everyone, but I don't regret watching it! Very beautiful.

I love that I cried along with the characters. The cast was beautiful and great!
I wouldn't watch if you don't get deep into meanings behind the shows. If you're just watching to watch then skip it. If you actually analyze whats going on you'll see the deeper meaning behind everything that happens.
My only dislike was the ending, I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. It was a bit too confusing because it jumps around. Although it is clear what happens, I would prefer if the scenes didn't skip too much during the last 3 minutes. (I'm not talking about the memories part either.)

The main character breaks up with her boyfriend and he dies in a car accident a week after while texting her. The then tries to unlock his phone and see what he wanted to write after that and find out why he wanted his phone to be given to her after his death. As you can see, the story is not a complex one you'd normally find in a regular 1-hour episode and it's completely understandable for a web drama. Someone may even think it's an overly cliched story or that it's way too simple, but it doesn't have to have many details and characters for it to be a quality drama. It has a beautiful connection between the past and the present, as well as two Jin Youngs who play an important role in the character development of the female lead.
The first thing I'd like to emphasise about the acting is how unforced it all looked! There weren't any overly cliched scenes and even when something important between the characters happened, the editors didn't repeat the same scene all over again but from different angles, but just let it flow naturally, which I think is a big plus for the drama. Shim Hee Sub did a great job portraying his character! I can firmly say that his portrayal of Park Jin Young immersed me in the drama even more than I thought I would be. He gave the drama the melancholic tone which the plot intended on giving it. Lee Won Geun made my heart ache with his character. He really managed to pull off a young intern feel and convey it in such a subtle way that didn't make him stand out too much, but he also didn't let his character be overlooked by the viewers. It was my first time seeing Soo Young acting even though I am a big fan of Girls' Generation, and I was pleasantly surprised. She's a decent actress, but she still has a lot of room to improve. I'm looking forwards to her future works!
Now, the music was absolutely beautiful. It was subtle, appeared at just the right places throughout the episodes and made you shed a tear if you didn't already. I'm so sad I cannot find the songs online because I'd really like to put some of them on my studying/relaxing playlists, it's such a shame!
Given that this is a web drama of only 10 episodes and no big storyline, it is highly re-watchable, but only if you're ready for experiencing the melodrama all over again.
Overall, People You May Know is a really nice drama to watch on a Sunday afternoon, so I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to watch something short and quality.
