Its by the same director and there are a few cast members the same as chef fang. The story feels very similar to chef fang as well.

Both dramas are quite sweet and has a cute couple as the main leads. The female leads of both dramas are tricked into marrying with someone that has a bad reputation and both know how to cook. In Hua Jian Ti Hu Fang Da Chu, the male lead acts like a gangster, he's rude, doesn't do anything but visit the brothel or picking fights. In My Amazing bride, the male lead has an IQ of a child. Both male leads become desirable husband/ spouse material during the drama through the efforts of the female lead. However, Hua Jian Ti Hu Fang Da Chu is more carefree and fluffy and the leads have a happier relationship throughout the drama. In My amazing Bride, the drama is a little more tragic and the couple faces more obstacles in their relationship.

The way the FL motivates ML to grow and change for the better is very similar!
In Chef Fang, ML is initially known as a major playboy (though obviously kind at heart) but then his parents arrange a marriage with the FL and he slowly starts becoming smarter and a martial arts expert.

In Court Lady, ML is known as the number one playboy but once he meets FL he begins demonstrating his immense talents and begins to work hard to improve himself overall.

Both series are similar

* fast paced
* light-hearted
* set in ancient times
* food theme
* sweet romance
* an optimistic FL - grumpy ML
* loving parents

Both series revolve around cooking and are romantic comedies. Fang Da Chu is more historical but both series go pretty deep when it comes to explaining the meals that are cooked.

The dynamic is more on what kind of similar character development we see in both leads.

- Higher background but bad reputation Male Lead - Playboy/ruffian, seen as the black sheep of the fam and seem as irredeemable study wise.
- Low background Female Lead - Both pursue their ambition with Hubby support
- Both dramas start off with the wrong marriage
- Both Leads slowly work through marriage

Difference - The setting of drama is not aligned. One is set in a bigger city facing diverse range of people and drama. The other is in a small governed area and daily interactions with the common people.

Chinese cooking in both..Happy Ever After is set in the Qing Dynasty while Chef Fang/Hua Jian Ti Hu Fang Da Chu is set in the Song dynasty I think

Loved these shows so much and it is funny and light hearted. Such a feel good drama with the marriage between the main leads as the focus of the story. Very well done for both

Not necessary similar in story line but similar in terms of the romance between the leads. In LBH once the couple gets together they stay by each others side and don't let anyone push them apart. They don't have any unnecessary misunderstanding or useless drama.

LBH is funny, sweet, and the leads have great chemistry! (Not to mention a lot of kissing scenes LOL)

The main characters in both fall for each other pretty early on and support each other. The male leads are both completely devoted to their female leads in a way that is very endearing.
