Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); 1.5 out of 5 (this was mostly out of anger/irritation)

To start off, I've NEVER EVER have been so annoyed/irritated watching a drama. This drama shouldn't even be 50 episodes. It's like BS adding on BS... One after another. Like please, I just want the two main characters to be happy without so much BS.

The storyline is not bad, its just the characters that are just annoying. But still I felt like this drama should've been at least 30 episodes, not 50 episodes... A lot of the scenes were very unnecessary and problematic, it felt as if the writers had it in mind that they wanted 50 episodes but after half way of the drama, they ran out of ideas to keep it going so they just added BS plots points until it got to episode 40...

Character thoughts; Ah Li (second female lead) is just so annoying and she really needs to stop trying to win He Ping's heart, like girl you know he has feelings for someone else. It's annoying to see her get jealous of Qiao Man over smallest things. Ah Li claims that she helped him a lot when he had nothing and she just wants him to like her back in return. But he has told her MULTIPLE times that he thinks of her as a older sister and would never date her. Everytime I see a scene with her in it involving Yang Lan (her assistant) in it, I feel disgusted with their actions smh... I hate people who are just so manipulative and just wants everything to go there way and is always playing the victim.

After episode 24, I was like "omg Qiao Man and He Ping can finally be happy together." But no, I was wrong. Of course, there were going to be more BS on top of BS. I just wish all everyone can just respect Qiao Man's choice with being with He Ping. Everyone just thinks they know what's best for Qiao Man, like she is a WHOLE adult and she can make decisions for herself. And they should also consider her feelings, if she is happy then let her be and let live her life.

This is a decent drama overall, it just gave me a few hundred headaches but anyways I would recommend this drama, if you want to be extremely stress and want your head to blow up lmao.

So I just want to start off by saying I didn't hate this melodrama but I am disappointed. I agree that there was a lot of unnecessary scenes and not enough romance between Nan Sheng (Qiao Man) and He Ping. I also found the ending to be nonsensical, after regaining her memories how could Nan Sheng be so cold and unforgiving towards He Ping yet be so forgiving towards Hansen who essentially kidnapped her and lied to her about her identity and didn't even try to find her family, as well as Qiao Feng who essentially used Nan Sheng to replace her own dead sister, how in the entire world could Nan Sheng feel comfortable going anywhere with that psycho? Did she not care at all how He Ping and his mother felt? I understand her feelings towards Shen completely because how dare you act all buddy buddy and like everything is normal after you killed my daddy and only come clean when you thought I was dead and as for Ah Li, she should've been to prison so many times like it was all so unrealistic and it shouldn't of taken till the very end to regain her memories that's not even reasonable. Barcelona and all the flashbacks absolutely meaningless, Luo Chen another psychopath, I honestly thought he was going to be the one to solve the mystery but he was just useless and annoying I didn't get his deal at all. I liked this drama because it kept me interested but it was rather frustrating, I would like a S2 solely for the purpose of rewriting a better story that makes sense because there's no way a man who I don't know (Hansen) can tell me "Oh yeah I actually found you long ago but I was so infatuated with you that I didn't even bother to try to find your family or friends, instead I wanted to wear you down so you'd marry me, I don't care if you ever loved me", and me being like "Oh ok, let's go back to Barcelona." Meanwhile the love of my life and my mother who have mourned me and my father for years I leave them without a word? Who would do that? That makes no sense and then in the end He Ping goes to Barcelona to see her and they have a silent conversation with their eyes and she thinks "He Ping, I missed you." Girl what??? So a S2 is definitely in order or a remake of this drama because it was good but also extremely awful. I don't blame the actors they could only do so much with this script, I wish I could've taken part in writing the adaptation of the book, it would've certainly turned out better than this.

Main reason I started to watch this drama is Song wei Long and also the only reason I continued watching after episode 10. The story goes so slowly with lots of extra characters added as it goes along. The other actors are ok albeit quite annoying. Thank goodness Jelly Lin not as annoying or bad at acting as Jun Ji Hyun in Legend of the Blue Sea which even Lee Min Ho could not keep on the drama.
Director should have cut out the many side plots and big holes from the plot (some really didnt make any sense) and focused more on developing the romance / story of the 2 main actors
Plus : Song wei long, barcelona setting, quite interesting plot line, good looking cast even though Hansen is a miscast.
Minus: Draggy script, slow plot development with too many episodes at 60 mins each episode! Stupid characters who do things that dont make any sense!
Terrible and abrupt ending.
Best way to watch if you are a song wei long fan...fast forward! If you are not, I'd give it a pass.

Wise advice

Just really really wished someone would have told me this beforehand. Warning ahead… Please please pwease do not start this drama at all, it will mess you up and piss you off like ONE HUNDRED AND ONE, like no joke! Biggest regret of all is that I actually started this drama. In all honesty I started the drama because of the two main actors, Song Weilong and Jelly Lin. Although really just that alone doesn’t make up to how awful this drama is, sadly enough. The beginning was bearable and it seems interesting, but just really only the first few episodes the rest is horrifying awful. Siigh…

At first don't get distracted by other description.
And taking about the story it was like eye catching at first and slowly it will be eye burning
But the story is simple and understandable.
Too many useless episodes...

The female lead is absolutely gorgeous. Her smile is out of the world. A heavenly smile. Like wise her acting is good and male has it's own credits in every aspect.

And i am really pissed about the ending. I completed all 50 episodes and i don't think this is the ending we want.. this is really really really unsatisfying. This must have atleast 1 more extra ep with only both of them otherwise a s2..

Initially I wanted to watch this drama because of Song Weilong but it later became one my most favorite dramas. Though it has 50 episodes but its interesting to watch the drama. The scenes of the past were a bit boring. In the beginning the love story of Qiao Man and Lin Heping is very sweet. they turn from friends to lovers. There is lot of suspense scenes and emotional moments. the chemistry between Jelly Lin and Song weilong is great. Other characters are also good. Luo Chen is handsome. Xu Ah Li is the main villain of the story who keeps pestering Lin Heping. She also accidently almost Nan Sheng. Xiaozi and Hansen are also adorable characters. The ending could be a bit better and the last scene was a bit confusing. it did not clarify whether Qiao Man and Lin Heping got together or separated though Hansen and Qiao man did not marry. But overall I really liked this drama. it lived upto my expectaions and it was worth waiting for this drama

Frustrating Series

The first two or three episodes looked very engrossing. Following episodes were somewhat mixed. I became very annoyed by many of the characters as the story progressed, especially HePing. What an idiot! The character Han Sen started off as an idiot but eventually matured and became quite likeable. Ah Li, (2nd female lead), was a woman possessed. Haven't you known one like her? I think there were too many episodes. I became very exasperated with all the leads at one point or another. The supporting roles were fine and provided some relief from all the main characters idiocy. I thought it odd t.hat Qian Man/Nan Sheng Character wore chokers throughout the program. Some resembling "collars", if you know what I mean. I kinda enjoyed the series but was not as emotionally involved as I usually get.

Emotionally exhausting and gave me more stress than my final exams

This drama is complete dog water. To be frank, I didn't even fully watch every episode of the series, I would skip huge segments until I got to see He Ping and Qiao Man interact. If you're seeing this, I'm assuming you've watched the trailer before watching the series, and the trailer lives up to the annoying and messy plotline of the story.

The acting is quite bad, especially the first few eps that took place in Barcelona, where we had to see a horrendous amount of Mandarin and English being mixed. The dub is horrible (especially the English dubbing during Barcelona), and I don't see why they need to to use such unnatural dub for this drama, the actors voices are completely fine. I like SWL and Jelly Lin as actors, and I love them together, but this drama does not do either of their acting justice. During the few scenes where they need to cry, they both lack a lot of emotion (esp my boy Weilong). This is ironic because this is supposed to be a melodrama, emotions should be exaggerated, and He Ping almost has the same looks/ facial expressions on his face the entirety of the season.

The story line is very cliche. I could've sworn I've seen a similar teleserye (Filipino drama) similar to that of Beautiful Reborn Flower. The "losing your memory" and falling in love again plot, the "jealous mfs who want to prevent the main character's relationships", the "workplace environment interfering with love" its all the same to me. Everything went downhill when they left Barcelona to go back to China. This is supposed to be romance, yet where is Qiao Man and He Ping together? No real first kiss (I am not counting when He Ping "kisses" Qiao Man after eating spicy food, or when he kisses Qiao Man's hand in ep 24), not even pg 13 sex, this is the equivalent to a middle school relationship almost. It also doesn't make sense that all of a sudden Qiao Man regains her memories in the very last episode. Too many plot holes, and none of it ever adds up.

The music is quite nice, I only rlly like the op and thats it. No need for further discussion.

Rewatch value= never. Please do not waste your time. I don't even think this drama has enough promotion, which such a shame because they shot in Barcelona and also SWL and Jelly Lin are very marketable together. I try to look for interviewers of them together on this drama and its almost nonexistent. In short, save yourself from the stress and go watch some of SWL's and Jelly's dramas.

I like the plot, about 2 girls who are the same girl. But there are a lot of unnecessary scenes/eps. 50 eps are a lot, and to be honest, I just kept watching it because of Song Wei Long. If not, I stopped watching it after a maximum of 5 eps.

I waited for a long time (this drama was filmed in 2017) and I expected more than this. It is a little bit disappointing. To begin with, I don't like Xu Ah Li and Han Sen. Both are just the same, they did everything to be with the one they love, even tho the one they love likes someone else. And Han Sen knew Qiao Man was Nan Sheng, but didn't say anything? I mean, what??! You found a random person who lost her memories, but you didn't say anything about it? Qiao Fang just kept her as a sister because her own sister died so she just replaced her dead sister without telling Nan Shen? How could you do that? Qiao Fang kept telling her that she is her biological sister?

And not forget to mention, such a bad and vague ending. Nan Shen and He Ping found each other in Barcelona after a year, but nothing happend. This scene was really short, literally 1 minute or so until the ep was finished. I really expected He Ping and Nan Sheng would end up together but nope of course not....
And I don't even know Nan Shen/Qiao Man married Han Sen in Barcelona or not.

Overall, the plot is not bad and I really like the cast, especially Song Wei Long and Jelly Lin. But for Han Sen, they could've replace Peter Ho for someone younger. I mean, Song Wei Long is more than 20 years younger than him and the same goes to Jelly Lin. Oh and why did they dub Song Wei Long's voice...
And I think it will be better if they didn't include unnecessary scenes and just make it a 20-30 eps drama.

Extremely crapy

After watching this drama I realized that before watching any drama first to check the reviews about it. Neither the script nor direction is good. It is not sensible at all. Only to relate the title with the ending, the whole drama has become crap. The female lead character is totally a big blunder, in the ending. The overall summary of the drama is, if you are a good and helpful person you will get only shit in your whole life without even a single second of happiness, of course, it is shown in end even for a bad person the final period is atonement but at least you will have temporary happiness if both the results are same what is the need of being a good person?. As a drama either it should be an entertaining one or at least it should pass some good message to the viewers, but you will find neither of these in this drama than what is need for watching and wasting our valuable time especially on the weekends. I really hate this kind of cheap mentality of directors who sacrifice their morals and ethics only to make money out of it.
After watching this crapy disappointing drama, I decided to avoid Wang Jing Ru's dramas.

Curiosity killed the cat.

That's exactly what happened to me. I fell in love with the ost and the trailer seemed promising but it was all a hoax!

I don't know who wrote this, but even a 5 year old can make a decent story. This is beyond mediocre. I remember watching this and thinking, "what the hell is going on here?" because you literally don't understand anything, from the beginning or to the end.

I don't know how they could make this a 50-chapter story where there was nothing to tell. There is literally nothing to tell because you understand absolutely nothing of what you are "supposedly" trying to tell.

And will the ending clarify anything for you? Guess what? No! He will leave you with even more doubts and you will find yourself wondering if the director was on any substance when he did this.
So you, if you read this. Don't even think about wasting your time watching this, really. It's not worth 5 seconds of your time.

I'll only give the OST a 10 because it was the only thing I liked, the rest is garbage.
