It shines a light on the tropes very commonly found in dramas. I'm not saying they don't do the common tropes, but the world seems to be set in a world like ours were dramas exist.
The concept of the clocks and how they factor into the story kept me very interested while I grew to love and adore these characters. Everyone in this, for the most part, draws you into their own little story. Whether it be the main leads or side characters. Everyone has a little story arc that really makes you see the growth they hold.
I've heard people complain about the story and especially the ending, but I personally really liked all of it. I found the characters very emotionally driven, and I found meself sympathizing with them very frequently.
I would highly recommend this drama.

i gave that show 8 ?! because i am too generous person in rating dramas ( even my worst drama--------> (( my secret Romance )) i gave it 7 ) But i have to say it is one of the most disappointing to me !
i hate when you build storyline on a base and change it at the end without any explanation just for achieving the happy end !
i can accept when you give a little reasonable explanation ( although i dont like that ) !!!
seems that writers were in hurry and that was a result
add to this the massive amount of flashbacks , seems that they have nothing new to involve in story !
Very Disappointed !!

Had potential but...
This drama had a very interesting premise, but somewhere along the way the story really fell flat. I feel this story had potential but it was somehow afraid to delve deeply into what it means to be out of time and wasted its premise on petty fights and boring characters. I have to say though, that they tried to pose some pertinent questions and themes about how short life really is and that one should seize the day and fight for their dreams even if they seem impossible to reach. The relationship between Choi Mika and Oh So Nyeo was the most interesting part of the drama. I liked their friendship and how they both cope with knowing everyone's life spans as well as their own. The main couple in my opinion had absolutely no chemistry whatsoever. I think both leads are ok on their own, but in my opinion, their personalities did not match. I kept watching thinking that it might improve, but in the end, it turned out to be a massive waste of time.
Personally, I would not recommend this drama, but if you like musicals, you might enjoy this still.

a dragged drama with a rushed ending
i liked the idea of plot of the drama (it had potential) but after some episodes they just drag it all (the show basically is full of dragging, musical, flashbacks, almost none development and a rushed ending)i dont get it. they dragged the drama until the last ep and in the last minutes they rushed all.
i don't understand what happened to characters in half of the last episode. they barely explained what happened in the end (i even thought it was dream or that it was an alternative ending)
it seems that the writers lost their way and end up giving up of the plot of the show. basically it have a poorly happy ending, putted together at rush after dragging for more than 7 episodes

Final Review so please don't read if you want to watch the show without any hint of what is to happen: I loved this show for 9 episodes. It was so beautiful that it was on track to be one of my top 3 shows of all time. I love LSK in everything and she was perfect here. And I was quite happy with LSY as co-lead. They worked so well together and in fact almost every relationship in this show was amazingly lovely. I loved the musical theater side story and the singing was incredibly beautiful. The OST was also great and fit and enhanced the scenes without intruding. Nice touches everywhere. The cast was perfect for every single role and the acting was remarkable with great performances across the board from our leads and everyone in this great extended cast. It was such a magical, charming, fun, funny, touching and spectacular show that I expected it to remain a favorite to the end. With already some of the most beautiful moments I've ever seen. But then for some unknown reason the tone of the show changed dramatically and negatively in about episode 10. And I felt that the show totally lost its way. The writing and directing made terrible choices and the show became unpleasant and was no longer the bright, lovely and beautiful show I loved. Conflict and dramatic tension are expected and should be in every great show. But how they presented it and dealt with it felt wrong to me. All of the wonderful relationships and even the wonderful musical theater story fell apart. And looking back from the end, I felt that the show basically wasted six episodes with this change in tone. Sure the lovely, wonderful, beautiful characters remained right there just waiting for the writing and directing to let them come out again. And they did at times before the last episode and those moments were wonderful. But the writing never captured the magic of the first 9 episodes again. And I think that's tragic because they knew how to write and produce a perfect show and then just stopped doing what worked so well. The ending didn't make up for the lost episodes and in fact I found it to be pretty sappy and overly scripted. Everything was tied up in nice neat bows. It was fine and certainly left me with a better feeling than the six episodes before it. But I leave this show regretting that it didn't stay the brilliant and phenomenal show that I fell in love with. What should have been one of the 3 best shows of all time ended up below 10 stars.

This drama has a unique concept which made me curious as to how the story will unfold. The casting was good, actors were great, the way it was directed could have been improved but it was okay. But somehow as the more episodes I’ve watched the more I felt like it was missing something. And by concentrating better, I realized that the script was a bit too average. No lines from the drama actually stood out for me and made me feel something. I know I’m being a bit too technical on this but usually, we, as viewers take this for granted. We usually underestimate the weight of the words the characters say. It can almost always make or break a scene and this drama made me realize that.
Overall, it was cute. Some parts felt like it was dragging. Nothing really stood out. But the concept was great, wished they couldve executed it better.

Can be a very good movie
This movie can be a very good movie with the whole idea and the actors, but i think the scripts is not as good. So unfortunate.I really enjoy the whole idea and the actors !
They played so well. Even the music on the musical are well made - easy listening and catchy.
All the supporting actors also acted well.
I still feel bad for the script.
But overall worth watching !!
Its very refreshing. Something new.
If you like musical, give it a go. Its a simple musical and their BTS.
Give it a try and enjoy :)

Fluff and clichés with lots of twists and turns
This drama has practiclley eaverything I like in a k-drama (exept for importatnt issues and JHI but not all dramas can be perfect). we could easiely play troph bingo with this one, its filled with classic twists, clichés and scenes that make you go what th... and I want to slapp that person soo badly (Violance is bad, do not slap people) so I love it it, I love it, I love it. Yes I do!The acting was pretty good, the chemestry between the leads was ok, not out standing but acceptable. Level of consent was mediocare... but never full on use of force...
The pace is great to begin with but does have a slow middele before escalating again.
The side caracters almost outshine some of the leads. Everey singel female character is well written and rocks! I love the female leads 2 bffs both haow different they are and just how they are, the advice they give, the friendship, the things they do their attitude towards life and death.... I actually love the the secound female lead beeing both the most bas ass character ever yes still shining a light on the dangers of crossingo over the line from love to obsession.
So all in all if you like fluff and clichés with twists this is deffenetly worth a watch, if you hate clichés step away and choose another drama,

The storyline is simple yet you'll find yourself crying in the end.The love story between the main leads are quite fast yet is understandable due to the storyflow. The characters are really sincere and pure,I like how the actors portray it.Even tho the drama is lacking ;like how annoying some supporting roles are and some scenes are unbareable, you guys should finish it somehow. There are some typical love story problems and clichés that is predictable although the two main leads have the chemistry.Supporting roles like Do Ha's brother and the boyfriend of Ms. Oh is somehow helps the drama.
The main goal of the story and its lesson as you can really see at the 1st episode is TIME IS REALLY IMPORTANT and as they say YOLO; so live it like you'll gonna die tomorrow or even today. Enjoy it yourself, with your family or friends, and find they joy and love of every single thing or every single person everyday. Your happiness is the most precious thing that you don't want to anyone take it from you.
And also love someone and show it to them as soon as possible 'cause you don't know when will our life ends.

So much time wasted
I began this drama because I saw a review somewhere saying how good it is...Well... In the beginning, I was really invested, it was super interesting and made me cry multiple times.
the premise of this show is good except for the fact of how much singing there was. I know they are making a musical and such, but at some points, it just felt like a filler for a drama to prolong it.
So like I said before it's an interesting drama it makes you think about time, relationships and what's important in life.
But the ending was horrible, I couldn't believe how they dropped the ball on that... The whole show there was maybe one or two episodes that didn't make me shed a tear, but the ending ruined the whole show for me.
They made the entire show about how they are star-crossed lovers and stuff like that, but at the end, they just made it like oh well they have a link so that's why it's a happy ending.
I would recommend watching the show only if you don't care that they didn't pull through in the end. Maybe if they spent less time on making a musical and instead spent that time making the story they could have made up a better ending, but for now, the whole show experience is ruined for me because of the ending. Usually, I'll rewatch shows just because I want to see if I missed something or didn't pick up something, but on this show, I will not be spending my time again...

It is sooo hard to write a review about this show. Because I loved several things about it but, at the same time, it has so many flaws really impossible to ignore.PROS
The cast is AMAZING. Lee Sung Kyung and Lee Seong Yoon are perfect in their roles, they have lot of chemistry and, let's face it, they're both so beautiful that just staring at them is fine. The ensemble cast is really, really good too.
The premise is very good and interesting, albeit sad, yet it manages to be funny.
Lovely OST, I specially loved the two main songs "Yesterday" and "Amazing Thing". Mika hopes to become a musical actress , therefore Lee Sang Kyung sings too: I am really impressed by her beautiful voice.
CONS
After a few, very promising episodes, you will slowly realize that the writers of this show have basically no idea of what they're doing. A show that, regardless of its sad premise, managed to be quite funny at the same time, suddenly becomes a tearjerker device: not only Choi Mika's life is about to end, but also the lives of almost everyone she runs into (Lee Do Ha's brother, her actress colleague, her mentor's boyfriend, Lee Do Ha's obsessed ex fiancée): seriously, how many people are supposed to die here, just because the story needs to produce 16 episodes? At the beginning I cried for certain scenes, but later everything was just too ridiculous to be sad.
Many episodes were just repeatedly stating the same concept on and on: Mika will die, but she gains time by sucking Lee Do Ha's time, hence she's so noble that she'd rather die than telling him the truth, and she starts telling lies over lies that shatter his heart in pieces in order to save him. This is what happens in... probably 10 out of 16 episodes. Over and over again. No progression. And, in the end, a very convenient "miracle" gives us the long-awaited happy ending without any real logic explanation. I know it's a fantasy, but I still appreciate some effort from the writers in giving an appropriate resolution and, possibly, with no loose ends. This is NOT what happens here. Which makes anyone's suspension of disbelief basically impossible.
I am really disappointed. With such a great cast and good premise, this show had all the requirements to become a real cult and one of the best. But it wastes its amazing potential along the way and it even looks like who wrote it don't even really care about it. Like: "This is how it ends: it doesn't make much sense, but you'll have to accept it anyway because we're too lazy to put some thought into it". Bummer.
