I liked the anime vibes it gave me with the live-action acting. The episodes were well constructed and well paced, the intro song was a bit a miss for this kind of a series although it's a good song. I was not sure how it would end and felt a little confused by it, but looking back again even I could not come up with a reasonable ending for this series, so this symbolic-ish finish was appropriate I guess. There is no need for a clear cut as an ending just like life itself does not have a clean end. I would've loved more gore and action and maybe a few more episodes. The jump scares always got me so as a horror it succeeded still quite a light series. Recommend to even the weak hearted viewers as kind of an introduction to the genre.
P.S. I was quite cautious not to over-share so it may seem like hazy but that was my intention.

Dead Stock has the basic elements of a horror story with an additional subplot. I can't say it's impressive, in fact it has your usual formula and the cheap jump scares, but they're pretty effective, I'll give them that. The strongest episodes for me are the 1st and the 2nd, the 11th one, too, because of its message. The resolution with the subplot was weak for me, but the ending with ep.11 was a nice touch.
The actors did what they could with their characters, though I must say that there really isn't much to work with (except for Niji's character, perhaps), and more development would've been nice.
The opening and ending songs are very 90's, I enjoyed watching the opening and ending credits roll out (fun fact, UA, Niji's mother, sang the ending song!).
All in all, it has its share of flaws and I wish there was more development in the characters, but if you want to watch a series of horror shorts then give this a try! You're sure to have your 23-minute horror fix in this one. :)

Something different..?
I initially decided to watch this show because the protagonist is played by Murakami Nijiro, who played Chishiya in Alice in Borderland , and it actually exceeded my expectations!I've definitely never watched a jdrama of this genre, or any Asian drama at that. The intro song felt a bit unmatched with the show's vibe but that somewhat made it match even more ,idk if that even makes sense, but the episodes are around like 25 minutes, which is a bit short for me. As someone who absolutely DESPISES cliffhangers, I was lowkey annoyed by the unfinished ending of the episode lol.
I'd definitely love to venture into the more supernatural-horror type dramas in the near future!
