Yes its predictable. You can see the ending a mile away but sometimes you want to watch something that won't surprise you or upset you at the end. You just want a bit of fluff :)
If you're looking for something to pass the time that won't make you cry and has a cute but nerdy lead actor - give this a try.

If you're looking for a fluffy, cheesy romance this is for you. But if you're looking for a 'fun but has a deep plot' movie, then I'm not recommending this to you. I love all of the casts and their professional act. But what I'm not quite satisfied within this movie, is the shallow character for Shizuku & Subaru. I honestly don't know the reason why Yori wanted to abandon everything to pursue her dreams? I know his character was kinda the same like Kotoko (Itazura Na Kiss Franchise)-someone devoted their life for their loved ones. But at least give us the reason tho. Kotoko loves Irie bcs he's smart, handsome, etc. But what about Shizuku? I'm sure that the manga will tell me a lot better explanation abt Shizuku's background. In this movie all she did was to smile (Thank God her smile was angelic), complaining to Yori, didn't do her job professionally, even tho her character has such a huge potential on the beginning of the movie. I thought from the trailer she's one of that fierce & tough female lead character, but I was wrong..Her character was not strong enough for me..But the cast did the acting beautifully.
I also hated Subaru's character because the script writer didn't even gave the character to explain his reason why he actually felt inferior to Yori & did all of that nasty things to Yori. His character was only to give pressure & sense of rivalry to Yori. I was not even feeling a fair competitiveness between them. How come Subaru was portrayed only as a jealous boy with Shizuku? The cast deserves more spotlight & character development. Honestly put it simple, it was just kinda feels rushed out.
What I love abt this movie is the part when Kondo PD character could support Yori as a rising actor & how Yori could get out from his 'cage' & flew away to pursue his (Shizuku's) dreams.
This movie has huge potential, but I don't see them being executed wisely. Props to the cast, but I think I would not watch it again. This is a perfect movie for you who just wanted to quickly spend your time. Would rate it 7/10.

So, what I liked about this movie was the choice of actors. All of them were perfect for their parts and therefore, they added a lot to the movie. Their performances were good as well.
As for the story, here's what desappointed me. Maybe it was because I was really looking forward to this movie. And the start was admitadly good. But the ending was cheesy, kind of rushed, and over the top cliche. I guess they didn't manage the pace very well.
So, six out of ten.

Cute, easy watch
There was nothing earthshaking here. The story was simple, the acting was okay, I don't even remember if there was music in it, and based on the fact that I have a "to watch" list a mile long, I won't watch this again. Having said that, it was a cute movie, taken from the young man's point of view. He's loved this girl forever and they run into each other again when he transfers schools (in this day and age of technology, how and why they lost track of each other is a mystery). There's the obligatory second ML, but not really much drama there, either.What I liked about this movie was everything he was willing to do for her to make her smile, to further her career, etc. He often found himself being swept WAY out of his comfort zone. That was fun to watch.
It was a low angst movie and enjoyable to watch.

That was so cute! Yoshizawa Ryo as Yori, a shy, introverted student in love with an up and coming actress, his childhood crush. Yeah, yeah, cliché, I know, I get it... but I can't get enough of "the ugly duckling is actually a swan" trope, so sue me!And this had some really sweet scenes regarding the Reveal(TM). First when Yori crashed into the director and lost his glasses and the director went all O.O! And then, when said director allowed Yori to be the stand-in for a famous actor who left the set prematurely, before the filming was done, and when they prepped him up and he walked in, when the whole crew went O.O!!! It had me all a-giggle! Because Yoshizawa Ryo is really, really but REALLY pretty!
So, nothing new, true, basically your typical romantic movie but it still made me smile. Also, have I mentioned that Yoshizawa Ryo is REALLY pretty here?

Sweet and Realistic
I really liked this movie and all the characters in it. The movie is entirely from the ML's point of view as we see him fall in love with the FL as a child and later grows up to follow her and his dream. I loved his devotion to the FL and I loved the friendship between the leads. Even though we don't see any of this story from the FL's point of view, you can see that she also loves him, maybe as much as he does her.What I found really realistic about this movie was the relationship between the leads. How they both clearly love each other and want to be more but don't bring it up to each other because they don't know how the other feels. Their relationship seemed like that of two people who are holding on to each other for fear of losing the other person if they ever admitted their feelings. The FL was very forward with the ML in the sense that she did so much to make sure the ML was next to her, going so far as to make him her assistant. The ML also moved all the way to her school to be next to her, but he never tells her this. His shyness and nervousness prevent him from being as open to her as she is with him. She even criticised him for treating her like a stranger when they see each other, and that is because he's too nervous to do anything else. But she forces her way in, in a way that he both likes and accepts.
I loved that they are immediately able to click and be friends after seeing each other several years later. It's like their relationship was just on pause and immediately resumed after meeting each other. Despite all the years, they've never forgotten each other and seem to value each other a lot.
The actors also seem to have good chemistry, though I would have liked to see more scenes between the ML and FL. Midway through, right when a romantic attachment was begining to form between the charecters, the actors started to have fewer scenes together until the end.
The entire plot is revolved around the ML's love for the FL and the FL's persuel of her childhood dream that prompts the ML to also go after his. It's a very sweet and fluffy romance with nothing else to it, great for when you don't want watch anything serious.
