A group of young urbanites search for love and romance, but the unique twist is that their characters have animalistic traits. Chu Zhi He, who's a goodie two shoes, and Wang Da Shu, who has a personality that is rigid and sturdy like a tree, learn to grow together as they fall in love. Like the show's namesake, animal behavior is quite representative of human nature. Take the giraffe and the squirrel, for example; they are a metaphor for two very different people who find a way to coexist. ~~ Co-production with China. Edit Translation

Reviews
First, I actually like how they potray the storyline and how they actually divert the focus on the second couple later half of the story.
The beginning of the story is too fast paced for the main couple, Da Shu and Zhi He. I dont feel their love at all. Not to be said that I'm disappointed at Mike He character in this drama. I just hate it. I actually root for Zhi He all the way. I basically skip most of their part after half of the drama.
The only reason I'm watching this is for the second couple, Qin Hao and Fen Ni. Their story is much more interesting and well developed. They deserves more part but still its enough to get you indulge in their story.
A bit info, its NOT a melo (imo it wasnt dark enough to be a melo, more like romance with a bit of emotional ride ) and NO animal involved.
Should you watch this? If you are a fan of slice of life genre, reunion plot, long -time separated couple and secret child. Well, I would say give it a try. It was a pleasant watch and not too draggy.

first of all, can Ray Chang get his own drama?? what a sexy man he is! his characters story was More interesting to me then the main leads character. I found that the main female was very cold and unreasonable in many instances. I couldn’t really fully get into the relationship between her and Mike He’s character. I kept thinking that their divorce was a good thing, she didn’t deserve him. like other reviewer‘s have mentioned, the story doesn’t really fut in the traits of each animal to the character like the credits and the original premise imply. Pretty much the animals in the story are only at the beginning as a back ground device really. But I did not find this too distracting to the story, I actually ended up not even thinking about it once I got a few episodes in. Was this review helpful to you?
