both stories are really similar, a kid that's being abused by her parent, and the next door neighbor (or teacher) who tries to save the kid by "taking" her away..
both stories tackle the same subject of child abuse.. they also share the same "detached" female lead that slowly connects with the child and tries to save her even if she risks her life..
