Mamia (1994)

This is based on a true story set in the North of Thailand. Jao Noi was the son of a royal family and he had to go to Burma to study. When he got there he saw Mamia, who was the daughter of a merchant that works at the market selling tobacco products. Jao Noi first saw Mamia at the market and it was love at first sight for both of them. Soon after they begin a relationship. But eventually Jao Noi had to come home and his parents would not accept Mamia since Burma and Thai can't marry. Edit Translation
