REWATCHED AFTER 14 YEARS STILL IMPRESSED
So I watched this as a kid with my parents, and vaguely remember it was good, and the acting was great, but after rewatching it again after 14 years with a sibling, I'm even more impressed that the story holds the test of time!Such an interesting Psychological, Life Drama. The characters are SO COMPLEX! All of them!
Bosco Wong is INCREDIBLE as a depressed kid with major social anxiety, and trauma, to see his character grow is so heartwarming and satisfying to watch!
The complicated relationships between all the characters in the latter half are so gripping, the only downside is that it can feel a bit slow at the time and FRUSTRATING because the EVIL SIDE keeps winning, but it's WORTH THE WATCH either way.
Benz Hui plays one of my favorite characters here as a loyal bromance mediator!
To summarize Dicey Business is:
HILARIOUS, TOUCHING, ADDICTIVE, and the card games are SO INTERESTING! The cast is PERFECTION!
