This film is for entertainment. Acting is good enough to satisfied viewers. Background music is really fascinating and it's the major thing attracts me. After an episode, there is a quote and recommened song. I love all of them. The songs sound good and the quote makes me smile. Right now I'm listening to Wetter and MeloMance. Such a worth and nice fim to watch! I like the color, too. Especially the main actor, Kim Do Wan, he is very cute and attractive. I'm looking foward to hearing your news and new movie from him.

Yellow is a web drama with a short amount of time to develop a love triangle. Therefore, they kind of failled on that department. Not that the love story wasn't nice. But, it kind of needed more time to bloom. The second lead syndrom is strong in this one though!! Also, I would have liked more focus on the band, as this one had a nice story line with the four guys and their struggled to become famous. However, the brotherhood and the band's story was somehow lost in the romance focus. Finally, the performances were good from everyone.

Like most web dramas, Yellow doesn't have much depth to it and it was full of cliches, but it was still a fun watch anyways. HOWEVER, second lead syndrome really hit me with this one, and it was one of those situations where you just kind of knew one of the guys had no chance. The development between the main leads was kind of lacking, and I thought the ship with second lead was so much healthier.

I couldn't help but compare it to Shut Up Flower Boy Band in my head, and one thing I noticed was that bromance in that drama was so much stronger, and I wish Yellow had more of it.

Yellow was a series I procrastinated to the fullest because I knew I'd love it from the start. There's something about this band concept that is irresistibly charming. Maybe it's the cast, which is as gorgeous as you usually find anywhere else, or maybe it's the music, reminiscing of many English and Korean indie bands, or perhaps it's the approach they used to show each life of the band's members, as clichéd as their stories might have been.

I do recognize the series had its plenty amount of flaws, such as the awkward acting (Kwan Soo, I am looking at you), and, sure, I'll admit it, the series is... romantic. Although it does want to depict the problems the youths face, it romanticizes the process through vibrant music, slightly sepia tinted visuals and sentimental quotations and lyrics- exactly the way I like my unrealistic idealization to be done. So, yeah, it might not attract every crowd, but the overall vibe of the series was tailor made for me. My standards are now off the charts after this...

Kudos to this series for making me a fan of Wetter, the band that owned the songs Yellow performed. If you're a fan of indie/rock music (The 1975, The Rose, Day6, Coldplay, etc), I suggest you check them out. Their "Romance in a weird world" ep is amazing, and their "Don't make me dance" song featured in the web drama is easily one of my favourites.

This was one of the first web series I was introduced to, well also because of the youtube recommendations. I really liked it. The songs are catchy too, that I was humming sometimes while watching. I was surprised that all of them were pretty good actors. I don't have high expectations because it was a web series, not that extravagant production and like that and I commend for some of the Korean web series, most of what I had watched were pretty good. Some of them I had seen now on some mainstream K-Series and seeing them there feels like you are proud of them, because you saw them on the beginning of their careers. So for anyone who are skeptical to watch Korean web series, try them, not all you will like but I know most of them you will love watching. =)

This review may contain spoilers

"Everything you do, they were all yellow" (Yellow, Coldplay)

"If we can dream, then why are we wide awake?" Doing It For The Money by Foster the People

Yellow is a predictable short webdrama about the four members of a rock band called Yellow. Ji Hoon is the lead singer still upset over a breakup with his longterm girlfriend a year earlier. Tae Min is a guitar player but unable or afraid to say what's on his mind either to his father or to the girl he likes. Japi is a drummer who suddenly finds out why his girlfriend dumped him two years ago.Dong Woo is the youngest member and he is just there. Soo Ah is a fan who's had crush on Ji Hoon for a long time

It is about their love lives, adversity and ultimately deep friendship between them.

This is a romance between Ji Hoon and Soo Ah. The second lead syndrome is very present. Soo Ah is a very annoying character, a happy go lucky, very intrusive fan who does everything in her power to get close to Ji Hoon. She made me think of Yoko Ono and I was afraid she was going to have the same effect on the group i.e. that they would break up because of her. But their friendship was stronger than the jealousy.

The music was really good here. And every episode ended with a quote from a popular rock song illustrating events in the episode. Clever!

And finally, my pet peeve -HAIR: Ji Hoon's cut is just atrocious, so much so I had trouble concentrating on the drama when he was on screen!
