must watch and rewatch on stressful day

AWESOME, Yeah that is what I felt after completion of the first episode. And each episode had a separate story it maintains its consistent dose of humor with logical comedy and not background laughter. all the characters unique personalities, habits are written so well. with each episode I have the urge to watch more but not to finish the drama. a story full of bromance, Friendship, and Romance is gripping with humor.

Every actor has given their 1000percent to the performance. they made me laugh like crazy in each episode. They were so enjoyable in every moment and every scene that I wasn’t bored for even a second. the baby is very adorable.

It's a must-watch and rewatches series for its epic dose of humor. this dream took the spot for the series to be watched of a STRESSFUL DAY.

YEE--AH___________get it.

This Lighthearted Comedy Romance was silly fare. A group of immature young adults co-habitate and co-manage a foreigner guest house named "Waikiki".

There is hardly a moment the writers don't jam a comedic element down our throats. I'm joking here, but it's as if the writer had notebook after notebook of comedic material, finally got a chance to do their first show, and just poured all the notebook material into one show in case they never got a chance to do another show. Every prop seemed like it was possessed with comedic spirit; toothbrushes, breastpumps, sweaters, facial hair, MiniCars named Rebecca, and other objects could not escape from the flooding of comedic material. With that much attempted humor crammed into 20 episodes, there was bound to be a few gems and high points. However, much of the comedic material was forced, cringey, or redundant. That being said, I still enjoyed the overall feeling of comedy, even if it was tiring at various points of the show.

Here's an example of gems vs. failures. One of the gems -the scene that I saw in a trailer that pulled me into viewing the show - was Han Yoon Ah rapping "Yee-ah____get it" to Kang Dong Goo. It was unexpected and shockingly funny; her facial expression of seriousness was priceless. Yet, as delightful as that scene was, Yoon Ah's rapping for another famous rapper was uncomfortably flat and boring. I couldn't wait for that scene to be over. Crafting comedy and delivering on it is not an easy gig.

Other gems: the 'finger pointing language' scenes with Park Sung Woong were good. Totally dumb things like the deep V open chest sweaters the guys wore I couldn't help but laugh at. The show put out such a variety of humor that most people can connect with at least something.

All 6 main cast were pretty strong; all had strong moments, but all fell victim to mediocre plots/comedic vignettes as well. Song Hyun Joon was a strong support role. Baby Sol was a solid part of the show. Although I like to see K-dramas take risks and include non-Korean cast, I felt the non-Korean cast in this show did not work well. The non-Korean guests and Korean hosts interact awkwardly, and as a viewer, I felt that second hand awkwardness, too.

The romance is silly and essentially another variety of comedy. It was difficult to feel true chemistry in the various romantic pairings, but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing.

The music was effective for the story with its lighthearted and playful vibes.

Ken ha na ken ha na, these eords spoken by Lee kyung make my day everytime I watch this drama. Lee is the best in this show i fell for his acting, his role role will you laugh the most without any cringe. He did so nice job it didn't look forced acting or extra effort to make people laugh. He is born with a distinct features in comedy like sir charlie Chaplin.
The plot of drama is good, scripting is good, all the actors and actress did nice job to make it the best comedy kdrama ever.
If you are feeling down due to not accomplishing your goal you should definitely give it a try.
Only I feel one thing sad about drama is lee kyung should given more screen time rather than Male lead, the one who is in queen, cause he don't have screen presence.
I will recommend everyone to watch this show one's in a lifetime.

K.F.R.I.E.N.D.S

Just finished Welcome to Waikiki (Eulachacha Waikiki). What a wonderful show - haven't laughed so much during a Kdrama as I have in this one.
It reminded me a lot of Friends - six friends in their late 20's/early 30's and their adventures - some of the episodes seem to have taken some stories from Friends too. But... they seem to do it better.

It's a little silly in places but in this day and age, a little silly is no bad thing. All the characters are brilliant and the chemistry is brilliant. If I'm nit-picking then the third act should have started earlier as they had a lot of time with it being a 20 episode series. Also - and I haven't started it yet - but it's a shame that only one of the original cast is in the sequet. Hope it lives up to the high standards this one has set.

So give it a go - have fun and I guarantee you'll laugh your socks off!

don't Miss IT... but don't overestimate IT.

short summary:
three friends run a guest house that is not really successful. one day they discover an "abandoned" baby in one of the rooms and decide to wait for the parents to show up before calling the police. when the mom does show up they find out that this girls has basically nowhere to go therefore they hire her as a "maid" and start living all together with some other friends.

i Saw Many excelent reviews about this Drama and was really exicted about it. don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed but this is not the perfect drama that people want you to believe.
it is indeed funny, the gags are copious and cute but some episode were really hard to get through.
the sketches were highly predictable, not very ingenious and I've found myself skipping many scenes. overall it is a really good drama with good actors and and a cozy atmosphere.
the main issue lies in the main couple. their love story was really boring, not developed at all and the character of Yoon ah was frankly sooooo boring.
we never get to know why she left the baby in this guest house specifically.
the real star of the show is the character of Joon ki. he's the highlight of the whole series. his character is so funny and his scenes are unforgettable like the "gwenchana" scene with Rebecca the car.
if you are looking for a good laugh, cute moments, good chemistry between actors look no further.
I can't wait to start season 2

MUST WATCH HILARIOUS HEARTFELT SWEET WITTY CHARMING CUTE MEMORABLE ADORABLE LOVABLE

This show is simply one of the BEST shows I have EVER seen, period.

NOT just the best comedy show, but one of the best shows EVER.

10/10 on every aspect.

It was so unexpectedly hilarious yet witty, crack-filled yet charming, sweet yet salty, and simply ADORABLE.

The perfect blend of comedy mixed with interesting story arcs that all shape the show to go in the right direction every single time and leave you wanting the show to go on FOREVER so that you can see this trio and the respective added partners continue to live and grow in their lives while being unexpectedly hilarious and cute.

They did such a great job with genuine characters in a crack comedic genre. The story and the character development creeps up on you, to the extent that you start to care deeply about each character's growth while also experiencing the hilarity that comes from each and every single character's unique personality traits till the very end.

UNEXPECTED is my other favourite word about this show, after hilarious. Just when you think you know what's gonna happen, it doesn't, and even if it does, it happens in the most (you guessed it) HILARIOUS way possible. Eventually you start to predict the actions of a character because you come to recognise their personality BUT THEY SURPRISEYOU IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE.

This show is simply a must watch, no other way to put it.

good but could be better

if ur a huge fan of comedy this is for u! the scenes were super funny ?(esp joonki's) i also rlly liked how soo a and dong gu managed to be friends despite being exes. but i wasnt a huge fan of seojin toxicity like when she made joonki stop doing stupid stuff and also of seojin and joonkis romantic relationship bc i wished they'd just maintain their bickering and not completely switch to cheesiness ? also i wish they'd make yoona less boring ? they shouldve made her fight back just abit more to add depth to her character. the scenes where she was with the baker guy was unwatchable bc both of them r like so boring tgt ??? but other than that everyt else was pretty good! esp the ost!! ?

I love, love, love, love, love everything about this.

This made it to the top five list of my favorite korean dramas...ever.

I love, love, love, love, love everything about this. Not to be too dramatic but this drama found its way to me when I needed it most. Randomly clicked it in Netflix and it was just perfect. I was laughing every episode there is and it just made me so happy. I guess that's really the most important thing about liking a show, you know? How they make you feel and this one made me genuinely happy. Like thinking-about-this-show-always-make-me-smile happy.

I love the characters and they bring me so much comfort. I loved how different they are from each other but they make it work. The chemistry is just through the roof. I loved seeing them live their lives and follow their dreams. I loved rooting for them. I even loved the romantic subplots.

I love the characters too much that I don't think I can ever watch Season 2 since I found out it will have different characters and only 1 character from Season 1 will be present. I wanna relive this show with how Season 1 ended. I want to think they would always be a family.

Ohhhh, this just brings me so much good memories. Just thinking about some scenes make me wanna roll on the floor laughing. An exaggeration but I wouldn't put it past me.

Anyway, do yourself a favor and watch this if you haven't yet. You don't have to know much just that this show would definitely bring a smile on your face.

Definition of a feelgood sitcom

Okay so I began watching this drama when I was ill and needed something lighthearted to cheer me up and can I say: this was THE PERFECT CHOICE. From the first episode I was laughing more than I ever have whilst watching a tv show of any kind, it is silly and just straight up hilarious.
I must admit, the humour may not be everyone's cup of tea (it even got a bit OTT for me at points), and it did dip for me at around episode 12 ish (?), but picked up again massivelyyy after a couple of episodes.
Definition fangirl mode was activated on multiple occasions during this drama, it had me stood up screaming at the tv, squealing with excitement, throwing pillows about, gasping in disbelief and telling random people in my life about it even when they didn't care. LOVE TO SEE IT.
Sooooo much happens and what I love about it specifically is that there's always something new going on in each episode. Obviously there's a general continuous plot, but the events that happen are so damn wild sometimes it's so wonderful. I love the consistent characters and their quirks that always come up, and I also enjoy how if there's a plot point I don't particularly like, I can usually count on the fact that it'll be insignificant next episode so I don't have to endure it for too long, but luckily that didn't have to happen very often.
The character interactions and dynamic in the guesthouse was great, it made me feel so at home, it was familiar and warm and kind. I felt truly welcome at the guesthouse. There were so many sweet and heartwarming moments and I really did love the friendships. Yes the characters definitely have flaws (wowee do they have flaws) but they're real. No one is perfect and everyone screws up but they better each other, true friendship right there :)
RELATIONSHIPS WE ALWAYS LOVE A BIT OF ROMANCE YES WE DO: eeeeeeee overall i frickin love the couples I ain't gonna lie. However it must be said that i wasn't too keen on some parts for a while, sometimes it was paced well, other times not, and sometimes it had the potential to be a bit uncomfortable, but definitely with time when you can tell the characters are actually in a good place themselves to be in those relationships, I appreciate the really sweet interactions, they gave me butterflies and heart eyes.
This drama has everything, its truly wacky and crazy but also like a nice comforting hug. I can tell I will rewatch the entire thing in the future at some point, as well as rewatching certain episodes and scenes because they made me laugh so much. I can't wait to laugh that much again! (excuse the very trash writing it is currently 1:42 am I am very tired help me)

We need more sitcom dramas like this!

When you're not in the mood to watch heavier dramas and just want something lax, Eulachacha Waikiki is that type of drama to watch.

The story revolves around these trio of friends struggling to rent out their vacation guesthouse all while navigating life events. Their chemistry together was what made the show, and they were so funny! The first 9 episodes or so got me laughing at every scene at their absurdity. I love how they're not afraid to make fool of themselves.

However. it starts slipping after that. There aren't as many funny scenes, it gets serious, and everyone seems to have a romantic storyline, which isn't necessary! It would have been perfect if it remained lighthearted all the way through.

There was something going on until the very end, that I didn't even notice it was the last episode. I tried Season 2, and the cast just doesn't compare to the original. We need more funny dramas like this to wind down!

This drama is so so good. It has a nice storyline and the characters are so darn funny. My favourite character is Lee Joon Ki cuz whenever he comes on screen I die of laughter and I'm sure you will too. Doo Shik is such a cutie and a real gentleman. Dong Goo is Dong Goo ? and I really like him too. Yoon Ah, Su Ah and Seo Jin are also really nice characters and seeing all of them go through crazy adventures together was really a lot of fun. Whenever you're feeling down, watch this drama cuz I'm sure that you'll be laughing like crazy after watching even 5 minutes of it. The second male lead, Hyun Joon, is such a mature person. The way he cared for Yoon Ah and how he wanted her to truly be happy and wanted the best for her was just so cute and heartwarming to watch. I definitely learned a lesson from him. You'll definitely like this drama and miss all the characters when it ends, specially Sol who is the star of the show. Though this show does have a second season, it does not have any of the original cast members except for Lee Yi Kyung which is enough for me to watch it ?. If you're looking for a drama which is light-hearted and fun to watch, then this is the one you're looking for. I highly recommend it and I'm really gonna miss this show now that I've finished watching it.?

Cute and refreshing!

The writer must really hate the characters, because whenever something bad happens, it gets worse. And when you think it can’t get worse, it gets EVEN WORSE and I love every minute of it

This was really cute! The 20 episodes just flew by, it’s crazy how quickly this drama ended, considering I usually find it a tad hard to finish extended kdramas. I really liked this overall, the show was absolutely hilarious, especially in the first half, and had some really cute romances in the second half. I still can’t decide whether or not I like that Welcome to Waikiki has a more realistic take on relationships than most kdramas, but it was definitely refreshing at the very least and really fit the overall theme of the drama. I’d definitely recommend this as a light pick-me-up kdrama where you don’t have to think too much or worry about too much conflict. All of the ships were super adorable, and one of them I definitely did not expect but ended up being my favorite one surprisingly! The only things I’d say were negatives in this drama are the fact that some jokes were feeling reused a bit (there’s only so many times a character can fart in their sleep before it becomes gross and not funny) and the fact that the “main” couple of this drama had a weird uneven development to their romance which kind of made it a bit awkward to follow. Otherwise, this drama was a blast and one of the funniest dramas I’ve ever watched!
