Reviews
Good drama.
Story: This story is well written! There's no plot holes with the perfect flow and all of the events tie together. It's been a while since I've watched this but all I can say was it was really good! The pacing of this is PERFECT. There's none of that dragging stuff that some Korean and Chinese dramas do. They get right into the story and into the point so all 31 episodes are worth it. Put your remote down because you won't even need to fast forward through any parts and if you do, you'll probably miss a huge hint of the events that happen later..Acting/Cast: Sheren Tang is back! I've always liked her ever since HSDS 1986. The other cast are awesome as well.
Music: They're good, you should check some out.
Rewatch Value: Definitely.
Overall: I recommend.
One of the best
This is hands down one of the best dramas from TVB. TVB often has those ridiculous dancing and singing segments in their dramas even the serious ones when they should only be in variety shows. This has none of that and focuses on the story instead of putting in those unnecessary segments. There are a couple of cringe-y moments (it is TVB after all), but it has a lot less than other dramas. There are no "cheesy" scenes that are often seen in Asian dramas. The lead characters are equally brilliant and the chemistry is off the charts. They are perfectly written where they balance each other out perfectly and hats off to Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai for playing these characters absolutely perfectly. The acting is fantastic from everyone including the supporting actors and actresses. The story takes off right away from episode 1 all the way to the end. The story could have done without the second lead characters to be honest. While I feel like the final few episodes could be even more intense than what it already is, this is definitely the best I have seen from Hong Kong dramas so I can't help but give this a 10. The music is a bit overused in some scenes but this is typical for most TVB dramas. I really like some of these OSTs. It is one of the only dramas that I can go back and still watch over and over again without getting bored. Even more progressive than dramas today ( over a decade later) with one of the strongest female characters ever created. Hong Kong dramas today do not even come close.
