2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten (2017)

The storyline had some pretty good build up and momentum in the beginning and towards the middle. I wish that the moment when things started to spark though happened too briefly that the conflict with it wasn't able to manifest, and give the main character in the story any time to understand what was happening. From innocence to confusion it didn't give much on the finished feeling towards the end. The ending had a bit of a twist but I think it was done too sloppy and dismissively. I would still recommend others to see this movie if they want a good flashback to dial-up internet connections and to watch the thrill of youth turn down some dark and twisted happenings when people feel it's the only choice they have to get out their situation they are living in.

Story:
The story was so well-written. It was kinda dark and at the same time the complexity is incredibly exciting. I get to feel happiness, sad, remorse and I'm shocked at how it ended. Although, there are some vague areas when it comes to the development of the characters and their motives.

Acting/Cast:
The casts were incredibly good. All of the three main cast were able to tell the story well and portray the character. There were no boring parts for me as they could throw the lines like it was never acted. It feel like I am watching a reality write in front of me.

Music:
I don't remember any of the music at all. And I always really don't mind the music when I am into the story that much.

Rewatch Value:
I would like to rewatch it because I want to see Jameson and Khalil's scenes. I really like how they do that naked scene. It was so hot but at the same time it wasn't porn-ish.

Overall Value:
It was pretty good. I would recommend this if you like darker stories that will makes you think about the movie right after you watched it.

Great Cast in a Paint-by-the-numbers Gay Cliche

What a waste of a great cast. I had high hopes for this, given the previews and other reviews. This has all of the classic gay tropes like self-denial of one's sexuality, all of the characters have to die a violent death in the end (only the straight one lives), dysfunctional broken homes, tragic upbringing. OMG. These pilot lines were tired back in the 1990s. Was this an old script that finally got produced after 30 years? The only thing original about 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten is only the straight character has a nude scene. There was so much that could have been done here but we've seen it all before -- especially the suicide ending. I hate to be so harsh but it's time to leave bury the gay romance stereotypes one and for all. Here's a tip for aspiring screen writers of gay-themed dramas: If you've seen it before, leave it out of your script. Also the audience should never be screaming at the screen: "Why is he doing that?"
