Heneral Luna (2015)

They are both set in the 1890s philippines and similar genre it being a period film/series. There is also similarity with them taking serious themes with additions of comedy. Any watchers who are thirsty for more period film or series set in philippines during the 1890s would love this.

This is an evident recommendation. Written and directed by Jerrold Tarog, these are both accounts of Philippine heroes during their time. Both are brilliantly made and I am looking forward for more of his work.
