The plot was not complicated. It could be easily grasped by the viewers, even with its major conflict touching a dark and sensitive topic.
Park Min-young and Park Seo-joon as the main characters were the perfect choice. They delivered their respective characters so fluidly and naturally it was a delight watching them throughout the entire drama.
The drama was basically a bunch of cute, cheesy, and sweet rom-coms. A genre that's hard to pull off than most of us would think (as it can get too cringy if overdone). But that crew and the casts did spectacularly in the drama.
The comedy was definitely on point and wasn't exaggerated. I was having way too much fun watching it that I didn't realize the comedy was light and could easily turn cringy with one wrong move. But they did it so naturally you wouldn't even dare to cringe with the scenes. And to be able to tie a neat bow at the end was so clever. Not all dramas can give a good, if not great, and satisfying ending.
Overall, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim is a precious gem in the rom-com genre. An fresh and absolute delight to watch.

What they go through together
I really enjoyed watching the series, but if the CEO wasn't that cold,it was better because he is so cold that he doesn't let anyone around him and he wants to develop his case, he wants to find out who the girl he was kidnapped with is if he meets her. In the end he meets her but it will take some time to open up, he will catch deep feelings and he will want to do everything possible to spoil that personYes, he will spoil that person with a lot of love and a lot of money, because his love for someone is very expensive, it is worth as much as a big universe, so he wants to stay with that person to spoil him much longer from now on .Was this review helpful to you?

Classic Korean RomCom
What do I say about this other than it's amazing? The lead actors are phenomenal and their chemistry is NEXT LEVEL. This show is also hilarious. Both characters are funny in their own unique ways, and the comedy that comes about between them is even better.I hate that there is a character minimum on this website because sometimes all you really need to say is that a show is amazing. Everyone I've seen agrees. This is one of those rare dramas where I've not seen anyone dislike it. Except people who aren't really big KDrama fans or those who insist on applying modern day western values to Korean shows. Ugh.

The story is not as straight forward as it seemed to be at the start. It has its own twists and turns! :) It just became so lovable because of the two main characters. I believe that the actors were perfect for their roles. Their acting was spot on. I love how exaggerated and funny PSJ was here! After watching him beat people in both Hwarang and Fight for my way, this was a good choice for him! I also like it that the other characters got their own sub-stories as well! :) I love it when dramas can make me laugh and cry at the same time. However, in the case.. it's more of the laughter rather than the tears! ;)
Please watch it if you want to feel good! ^_^

Smile ear to ear while watching
I thoroughly enjoyed this series.Yeong Joon's arrogance is masterclass!! Park Seo Joon pulls it off rather well!! I was enamored with PSJ before but his turn as the Vice Chairman made me love him all the more. The Vice Chairman is so obnoxious but it's hilarious. His antics would normally get on my nerves but PSJ is so likeable all you can do is fall in love with him.
Park Min Young as Secreatry Kim Mi So was such a breezy, beautiful woman. I loved her too. I usually can't stand the FL is series like this but this show really surpassed my expectations. She was compentent and gave as good as the Vice Chairman gave. I really found the 2 of them charming, likeable and loveable. The chemistry was off the charts!
The supporting cast at the office was so funny but President Park takes the cake. So funny and tried his best to help the Vice Charmain through his predicaments. The dialogue between President Park and the Vice Chairman had me on the floor most episodes.
The reason this series is not getting a 10 overall is b/c there was a small makjang plot in re the Vice Chairman's brother and a kidnapping that happened when they were children that also involved Secretary Kim.....WHAT????? Anyway, in my mind that part didn't happen!!
The Vice Chairman has some great one liners; wish I had kept more of them but these are 2 of my favorites:
When Mi So talks about ordinary he says "I've lived my whole life extraordinarily. I don't know what ordinary is like."
His friend tells him his face is full of love and he says "It used to be full of deadly attractiveness, and now love as well?"

Honestly, I didn't get my hopes up on the storyline but I actually enjoyed it. Seo Joon really fits his character and he is a natural. Furthermore, this drama made me realize how gorgeous and alluring Min Young is. Her skin and face is to die for, gosh. On the other hand, I was not that fond of the supporting characters that much as they are just also flirting. Overall, I like the drama but not that much as the story somewhat lack substance.

It is a good laugh
If you don't take this drama seriously, there is a lot of situational comedy and is very enjoyable. Prior to watching this drama, we watched a serious drama, so it was a quite a relief to watch this drama. There were several occasions when I (we.. ouri) were burst out laughing. It is very rare that we laugh in a comedy.
Hwang Bo Ra was totally hilarious. In fact, the whole team did an awesome job of acting.
I had watched Park Seo Joon in Kill me, Heal Me and I was impressed as to how he was able to play a whole different character. As a character, he was totally unrecognizable.
Similarily, Park Min Young did an excellent job of portraying various emotions: From walking with confidence, to cute girl friend, to a sexy vixen.
The conflict between the brothers and the trauma was weak. For me, it was difficult to believe the explanation behind as to who was victimized. I wish, the screen writer could have imagined a better story line of the antagonist. Come on!! A good drama always need a powerful antagonist.
We enjoyed this drama and I highly recommend it from a comedy perspective. If you are looking for very romantic drama that has you emotionally involved then this one is not for you.

Acting: I mean, casting Park Seojoon and Park Minyoung as the lead roles? There was no way that the acting could be anything but amazing. Both actors portrayed the original webtoon characters incredibly well, and their chemistry was also commendable!
Rewatch value 10/10
I like legal dramas. I'm starting to like melodramas. But i'm not some saddistic fucker who only watches heart wrenching dramas or intense dramas. I need feel-good shows too and this show is the best representation for it. Even with the cliches and the cringy flashbacks, I would still rewatch this any day.

Made to be Rewatched
My first impression maybe one or two episodes in was to wonder how will they get 16 episodes out of this basic set up. As the story unfolds layers of hidden reveals and story twists emerge to justify those 16 episodes. On rewatch I appreciated the foreshadowing and reveals placed early on but which require that second time through to fully get.For example, pay attention to the flashbacks connected to each character. In particular and I say this without spoiling anything note the flashbacks with the main male lead. These point towards whether he does or does not remember certain events and who he really is.
I enjoyed the steep character arc of the main male lead, but also the less obvious arc for the main female lead.
All in all a very entertaining story that improves the second time through.

The drama is nothing life-changing, but it is entertaining. If you like funny rom-coms on a bit cheesy side with some cringe-worthy moments sprinkled in between, and if you don't mind typical kdrama cliches here and there, give it a try. The humor is a bit cringe-worthy at times and there really isn't a deeper message, but the show can be fun to watch. I would say that it's a drama similar to Marriage, not Dating and maybe Go Ho's Starry Night without the reverse harem .
Regular review:
Although the story is nothing new and the characters are very one-dimensional, I actually enjoyed this drama. It is pretty entertaining, although not everyone will be a fan of the humor in this. We have a traditional chaebol-poor girl romance with the unavoidable tragic past that resurfaces later, but fortunately gets resolved without dragging it too long. We also have a rather lackluster second lead. The main male love interest is not only ridiculously rich and capable, but also unbelievably good-looking ( though I would personally disagree with this; I mean, who came up with the lead's hairstyle in this??) and arrogant. Although amazingly popular with women, the heir to the conglomerate is a lone wolf who doesn't trust women to the point of not letting any woman ever touch him. The only woman who is by his side is his trustworthy secretary who is not only amazingly efficient, but also quite good looking. How lucky for our protagonist! I think that the main difference between this show and any other office based rom-com is the unusual way of telling the story. We meet the vice president and his secretary when they are already a very strong team and have worked together for 9 years. However, to the ML's dismay, the secretary decides to suddenly quit. This leaves the male lead puzzled and annoyed. I found the first episode to be hilarious and I quite quickly became attached to the flawed, but lovable male lead and his near-perfect office assistant. I think that the story slowed down a bit too much after episode 10, but it was still enjoyable to watch.
I didn't really care for the second lead's story. I loved the actor in 'W' and I was very excited to have him in this show, but his story was really unnecessary. I wish his character was a bit more developed and a bit less like a kicked puppy. As I mentioned earlier, the characters here are very simple. There is an incompetent secretary, a lonely and trustworthy president, a workoholic co-worker etc. Though they provide a nice background to the story, there isn't much depth to any of those characters. There are many romantic, but quite cheesy moments in this show, and there is quite a lot of bickering between the leads.
All in all, I found it to be a nice break between more intense dramas and recommend watching it when you want something to not think too much about.
