*House wife ready female lead
*Innocent and illogical male lead
*Sadistic brother
*Evil because of love cousin
*Love guru dog master, shop keeper
*No skin ship
*A lot of awkward scenes
*Innocence
*The attempt to a love triangle
*Misunderstandings
*Miscommunication
With a stern focus on romance, the main characters meet, fall in love at first sight then confess their feelings to begin a relationship, making this movie about the hardships of dating. These aren't really hardships as much as they are misunderstandings and miscommunication though, leading to some very unnecessary and dragged out conflict. With a few extra supporting characters thrown in there, to both wreck and fix their relationship, the journey continues, frustratingly.
In my opinion,
the characters had little to no personalities which prevented them from being relatable and the fast pace made their love seem so shallow that their feelings were hard to believe. The acting was a bit on the beginner side, which is very common in this type of genre but I can't say the script was of any help since the dialogue and the screen writing, over all, could have been better.
This type of relationship is actually pretty uncommon in Japan. The newer generations have become more daring and forward as well as less conservative when it comes to dating and skin ship which makes this movie feel a bit irrelevant and clueless about it's country's youth current stand point. This is actually a pretty big deal breaker for me, lowering the enjoyment quality by quite a bit.
BUT
If you like awkward romance movies with very little skin ship and miscommunication based misunderstandings but don't care much about characters personalities or developments then
ENJOY!!

The acting is fine and the story is ok. The dynamic with the cousin is a bit odd. You are supposed to see him as an enemy, but at the same time, the family seems quite close so it's a bit weird.
Even so, it's a decent show.

Easy watch
This movie expands on the short show of the same name. I saw that Yokohama Ryusei was in this, so decided to give it a try. It was cute, for what it was. It was sort of like watching a live action cartoon, with over-the-top sound effects, exaggerated movements and facial expressions. Because it was so cartoonish, I wasn't able to feel anything for the characters. It had your typical, excessively socially awkward teens that are seen in a lot of the Japanese shows. Sometimes, it's like watching people that have been raised with wolves coming into contact with humans for the first time in their lives. Fearful, skittish, unable to maintain a conversation. This movie did have the addition of a cousin to supposedly create some tension between the couple. My only thoughts of him were, "Did they use an egg beater to arrange his hair?!"
This show used the trope of misunderstanding/lack of communication, which is always frustrating to me. The movie as a whole was okay, I suppose but it never drew me in. I think I was probably slightly generous with my rating, only because the movie was completely innocuous and didn't irritate me.
