Mia 2018 is the remake of the almost decade old Taiwanese drama The Fierce Wife (2010).
Same story with a modern retouch and worldview.
-husband cheats with wife cousin and in the process finds herself and her dreams.
-The Fierce Wife is more emotionally heartbreaking and high on melodrama with a lot of family drama and introspection by the characters.
- Mia tones it down and changes a few of the FL's attributes.

They are both about betrayal by their husband and closed one then leading to divorce. There are also the transformation of wife for revenge later on. There will also be a new and nicer guy for the ex-wife for both dramas. :)

Mia 2018 is a remake of The Fierce Wife
Xie An Zhen, your picture-perfect housewife, always strived to do her utmost best for her husband and young daughter to build a happy family. All of that comes tumbling down when her husband cheats on her with her cousin whom An Zhen had graciously allowed to live with her family. Her separation from her husband forces her to step out of her role as a housewife to build a good life for her daughter and herself. Along the way, she discovers herself, her strengths, and confidence. As she finds her footing in the outside world, the ensuing divorce also becomes a battle of love and wits.

The husband cheated with the wife’s cousin and in the end wanted to go back to the wife but the wife did not take him back. In both dramas, the female lead became strong women in the end. Highly recommended.

They have similar storylines.

Both have devoting wife. Loves their husband. Their husband meets another lady(in promise it's a rich lady).

Both couple in the drama have a young daughter. Both female lead have a another guy who likes them and wants to help them.

Both dramas that had betrayed their girlfriend have trouble relationships with the woman they chose to be with and end up running to the main female because they realise their love for them.

Both seek revenge
I watched both but fell in love with 'The promise' Because it's detailed.

The promise is a daily drama that consist of 102 episodes whereas the other one has less episodes and isn't a daily drama.

Both series depict married women who are housewives and have never worked before. Their husbands cheat on them with another lady and they have to go through a divorce and grow as people overtime. There are also side characters that play a vital role in the series.

Haven't watched this yet but based on the synopsis I recommend The Fierce Wife since both talk about the same themes with infidelity and marriage. Both are also a female-centered storyline

Sui Sonia, Wen James and Wang Chris play the main roles in The Fierce Wife. Here you will be able to see real acting from both Sonia and James. James was nominated for "best actor" and Sonia for "best actress" in the Golden Bell Awards.
