Love in the time of the internet: couple hashtags, love letters on chat, and selfies on every date. Teenager Norma (Sue Ramirez) has even gone as far as to make a joint social media account for her and her boyfriend Leo. Then she turns out to have a nightmarish illness known as electromagnetic hypersensitivity, meaning she cannot be around gadgets or (gasp!) Wi-Fi. Sent to a far-flung area with no signal, she and Leo are forced into a long-distance relationship. But it’s Leo’s brother (Jameson Blake) who makes his presence felt in Norma’s life — in Leo’s name. Reviews
Endearing
What i like most about this film is how it tries to weigh-in the means of finding love the old-school and modern way. And just like the other Jameson Blake film, 'So Connected', this movie also reminds viewers about the dangers of social media, but beyond that it also tackles about family issues, friendship and romance - though somehow these minor subplots made the film convoluted. Still this film is endearing and teaches us that while romance can indeed blossom on the net, it is our actual interaction with other people that helps in creating long-lasting relationship. Was this review helpful to you?
