Holy Pearl (2011)

They have a similar time traveling theme since in both of them, a girl goes to the past. Both of them also have gorgeous costumes/clothes, especially the female characters. Although, Startling By Each Step is a bit more serious and, in my opinion, has better acting.

Both dramas have a similar time travel theme and in both the characters are transported to the past by an artifact.

So many elements of Gu Family Book remind me on Inu Yasha:

both guys are half human, half mysthical beings; both have a girl they love from their past and a new love; both are going through hard times; and both would do everything for the ones they love and protect them with their own lifes.
These are just examples. I could mention many other similiar things.

As Holy Pearl is kinda a remake of Inu Yasha, you might enjoy this drama, too.

Both dramas have fake looking special effects, time travel, and characters which look like they are doing a cosplay play. Although, Faith's are slightly better than the Holy Pearl's.

The setting is pretty similar. The female lead have special powers. Both the dramas have a historical background.

The drama are very similar. A young girl travel back time and falls in love with a man. Both dramas have that aspect. And the man has problems with his family. Holy pearl is a very interesting story. I think it's much better than Scarlet heart Ryeo.
