When Time Stopped (2018)

Such a great drama and such great potential! Why? Why? T_T

I fell in love with this drama, the music is great, amazing actors, the story is actually not that bad and they set it in motion for a very good start.

But alas something got lost in between the lines and the only bad thing i have to say about this drama is the ending. Not gonna say why obviously, no spoilers allowed in my reviews but i just wanted to point that out. So that people prepare their weak hearts for that moment XD

It had such great possibilities, so much potential, a good story, awesome lead actors for the main couple, loving chemistry, such nice puzzle pieces put together, the pace of the story and the side characters were on point.
I mean, i know it sounds bad but it is still a very good drama to watch, don't get me wrong, i really enjoyed watching it. But they showed me the pearl inside the box and then took it away before the end and that really made me upset XD You know what i mean? I wanted that pearl to be mine, forever! lol

Still i recomend you guys to watch it, it's worth your time.
Just keep an open mind and brace yourselves for any flaws you find along the way :P

Its a good drama to watch i'm just on last episode may be by evening i will complete this and i must say its good to watch drama finally a break through from a office rom-com drama or childhood lovers and all...its some thing different sort of story some what x-men or super natural ability all in all refreshing story line... though my native language is not korean but still u feel the emotions of a characters thats amazing not only main story but side stories are too good..
In terms of acting all are good...i don't know what Kim Hyung Joon done in his personal life...but i wont judge him on this that was his personal life i look him as an actor or professional or musician and he is a good actor i liked him in BOF and that's y i watched Playfull Kiss and now this When Time Stopped he done a good job and he stick to his character, his expressions are too good...when ever it needs to be expressed...looking forward to watch some more dramas of him..
Ahn Ji-hyun is too good her character energy well played by her..innocence of her reflects on screen loved to watch..
Rest of the actors and character artist are all good.. all in all and yess 'God is considerate'
In terms of music as i earlier said korean is not my language still i loved every track from the promise to the maze or just for my love , the moment every track...
This is my first time to review on korean drama on this site . So, may be my review won't match with others may be my point of view of looking things are different, may be my review wouldbe total crap for others... but for me whatever i felt about drama i put in words..

I really wanted to like this, because like so many people who have enjoyed KHJ's work in the past, I'd like to see him get his career back on track. But this won't help.

The story was confusing. I found myself losing track of what was going on over and over. There didn't seem to be a clear destination for the story. The acting was not outstanding. Let's face it, KHJ has never been the greatest actor but he puts his all into everything he does. He was served badly by this dull, emotionless character with none of the vigor KHJ usually brings to his performances. By the 7th episode, I found that I had almost given up on understanding where it was going, I skimmed through 9 and started 10 - and gave up at a scene with a lot of leaden people sitting around a bed having the dullest, most lifeless conversation imaginable. I didn't care about any of them.

I hope something better comes along for KHJ in the future. He deserves more than this limp story.

When Time Stopped is a fantasy drama that handled the fantasy element well. The first part of the drama was nice, kind of slice of life, with a low lever fantasy element. It was focused on the leading lady and her struggles. The second part was focused on the guy, the secret society of grim reapers and the mysteries of the past. However, that part was boring, as the male lead was boring overall, with no actual personality. The ending at least was decent and didn't stick to the cliche romantic endings. The performances, moreover, were okay, though the male lead could have been better. So, six out of ten.

C'è questa serie, e c'è il suo potenziale. Due cose differenti. Il secondo non è sicuramente da poco: lo spunto di un protagonista maschile capace di fermare il tempo schioccando le dita, aspetto che vale per tutti ma che non ha alcun effetto sulla protagonista femmine, è un'idea di non dico geniale ma sicuramente originale. Però occorre giudicare non quello che sarebbe potuto essere, bensì quello che nel concreto si è rivelato, e da questo punto di vista la serie è un vero flop, a mio avviso. C'è solo quella bella idea dell'abilità di fermare il tempo, ma non si è davvero stati in grado di costruirci sopra una storia che valesse la pena. Gli attori protagonisti, pur apprezzabili, seguono un copione davvero piatto e poco coinvolgente. C'è tanta confusione e tanta incoerenza, perchè va bene l'aspetto fantastico, ma anche lì la linearità è fondamentale, altrimenti sono davvero scene inserite a caso che descrivono il susseguirsi di eventi senza nesso logico, senza credibilità. Anche la fine è stata deludente, non sono riuscita a salvare un episodio che sia uno. Per fare un paragone, è come se qualcuno avesse un ottimo spunto per un romanzo dal taglio originale, ma senza la benché minima idea di una trama o la capacità di scrivere un libro. C'è tanto da mettere sul piatto per ottenere una buona serie, e qui non siamo nemmeno arrivati agli antipasti. In conclusione, si può saltare a piedi pari.
