nanno GIRLBOSS!
i really have no reason not to give the first season of this show a 10... it was amazing and every episode was like a fcking movie! it was crazy and im in love with kitty chica LMAO. Although watching too much pyschological thriller messes with me i enjoyed it and the directing and acting was amazing. It’s definitely a unique show that I’ve never seen, and each episode has a deep meaning. that last episode messed me with me real hard tho…some crazy ass shit omfg-

Not your typical drama
Warning. If you are easily triggered by discussion of||rape, sexual assault, abuse (physical, mental, emotional, verbal, sexual), child abuse/pedophilia, self-injurious behavior (self-harm, eating disorders, etc.), suicide, excessive or gratuitous violence, depiction of pornography, thieving, death, pregnancy, abortion, blood, mental illness, bullying and A LOT MORE||, I strongly suggest that you DO NOT watch or read any comments/reviews about this drama.Let's begin. First of all, I love how the writers decided that each (one or two) episode(s) would be a mini story in itself. It is a rather unusual but effective approach as it is able to cover many topics that are usually tough to talk about without have character conflicts (e.g. making the characters seem unrealistic). Even though it doesn't talk about all of societal/school problems that exist, I have to give them credit for covering *a lot* of it. I loved how the writers made the story semi-supernatural without having the focus on it like a science fiction drama would have because that's just not my favourite genre. The only and main problem I have with the entire drama is that after a certain episode, the supernatural things began to look more cruel than address the problem.
Moving on to the cast, I just want to say that they casted the perfect main character and side characters. The side characters had relatively "easy-to-forget" faces but memorable characters so rather than the audience remembering the cast, they remember the message behind what is happening onscreen. As for Nanno, Kitty Chicha Amatayakul ชิชา อมาตยกุล is such a good actress~ perfectly embodying the craziness of the written character. (The character reminds me of an younger, more extreme, non-romantic version of Ko Moon Young from the Korean drama 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay.')
Overall, I would DEFINITELY RECCOMEND this.

Although not all the stories seem special, but some episodes cannot be denied that they were really great.
Even though the quality of the acting of some actors were just mediocre, however most of them were extraordinary.
The music that played on some “critical” moments was so "beautiful", making this series so ffff enjoyable, especially the unforgettable those "revenge" moments.

Nanno is a horror movie villain for hypocrites
It's difficult to recommend The Girl From Nowhere, not because it's bad but because roughly ever episode needs its own cavalcade of trigger warnings from violence against women to miscarriage to bullying. If you have a trigger, this show is likely to gleefully feature it.I've seen more reviews saying "This isn't like Gossip Girl or other teen dramas" than anything indicating that it was supposed to be or looked like that. It's not a teen drama, at least not in the conventional soapy sense. Instead, Nanno is an agent of chaos, a kind of horror movie villain for hypocrites. She just happens to also be a teenager.
The acting is pretty consistent overall, for me the biggest problem with the show is that it's kind of inconsistent in terms of quality and in terms of episodes. It has some of my favorite episodes of television I've seen in years, specifically Episode 8 "Lost & Found," though I still think you need to be familiar with the series in order to watch that one. But it also has some very inconsistent episodes that don't really seem to be following the pseudo-formula that the series has overall, like Episode 4 & Episode 10.
This feels like a show that someone would call "Black Mirror-esque" when what they mean is it's a show where every episode is different and has a similar moral (Black Mirror's moral is that technology is evil, The Girl From Nowhere is all about calling you on your own hypocrisy.)
Overall, I found it terribly entertaining (emphasis on terrible) but it's a difficult show to recommend. I will be seeking out Season 2.

black mirror but not
This is my first Thai drama that I’ve seen, so apologies because I am unfamiliar with the setup. This show reminded me of Black Mirror wherein each episode is its own story and it’s supposed to spread a message. It does get a bit dark and extreme at times though, so if you’re looking for some lighthearted fun this isn’t it lol.The story regarding the “mysterious girl” was interesting to me. I kept wanting to find out who she was and where she came from which increased my desire to keep watching. I think the underlying theme of this whole series is it shows the ugly side of humans. I appreciated the fact that there were consequences for everything. The actress is so talented and she carries the emotions/insanity over very well especially with her expressions.
I was so into it I couldn’t get over the fact that it was over. I wish there was a follow-up season where we get to either see more different scenarios or learn more about the female lead. Or maybe it’s kept that way to keep it a secret. Either way, I loved watching this drama.

Disturbing yet facinating
While browsing through my usually visited sites, I found some edits of the main character, Nanno all over Tumblr, youtube and Instagram. I had to see what this show was all about and the international hype surrounding it.To shortly summarise my thoughts on the show people are either going to hate it or love it. It may come across as unamusing or thrilling for its tone.
Each episode is set at a different school with Nanno as the new student unravelling people’s deepest darkest and ugly side. In agreement with the below comments, the episode structure had a black mirror feel to it. The more episodes I checked through, the more disturbing the story progressed. Although the outcome of almost each episode tends to become similar and unsurprising, I couldn’t stop watching till the very end. The episodes explore and present topics such as societal expectations, social pressure, school bullying, wealth and more. The storytelling is both exaggerated and warped compared to your typical drama series. Which may be what caught attention worldwide.
I did find it interesting how we get to see different sides to Nanno. Which gets me curious to know more about her. The acting from Chicha and the supporting cast were very convincing and real. The performance makes us reflect on to what length humanity would go to please, protect and reach their goals.

This review may contain spoilers
I really liked this show because of its revenge aspect even though each revenge was a little different I liked how whenever someone did something wrong nano made sure they were punished the first episode is one of the best I liked to episodes more when they were helping someone innocent. there are sexual scenes in this show but I just skipped through them but the acting was very well done by the actress who played nano and the plot was good as well.I do wish there was more helping an inoccent or somewhat inocent person in this show because that would make it a lot more thrilling.
but this show had you on your toes a lot because you want to know who is wrong in that situation who is telling the truth, who is evil, who might die, how will nano exact the plan.
the quality of this show is amazing the special effects I found beautiful with all the injuries done on the actors and the acting I found was pretty great as well.
the end episode really makes you hate people well a lot of the episodes have one character most of the time or more then one character who is obviously in the wrong even though nano may take some extreme methods there is still an amazing method to her madness.
the actress who played nano is just brilliant with that psychotic laugh and her facial expressions and body language put together it just makes her character better and better.
you can rewatch this show a few times because of its great plots.
I usually go for Korean or Chinese shows but every now and then I find a great Thai show like this.
I watched this show on Netflix so I do not know where else to watch this drama.

OML THIS IS JUST WOWWWW
This is possibly one of the best live-action shows I have seen in my entire existence. It's probably even safe to say that it is my FAVOURITE live-action show. I usually turn a blind eye on Thai tv shows but, once I found this on IG, I immediately watched it without hesitation. Each episode was unique and well written. It was very refreshing to see a different story in each episode. The main character was the baddest b**ch I have ever seen, and all the other characters were also portrayed beautifully. Don't even get me started on the cinematography. The way they filmed the series was absolutely beautiful (especially the opening.)
Overall, I give this series an 11/10 rating and I would 100% recommend it.
P.S. The main character's laugh and attitude are just perfect. NANNO SUPREMACY!!!!

What a wild ride
This show is absolutely nuts but in a good way. It's dark but intriguing. Every single episode has a meaning behind it and you don't have to crack your brain too hard to figure it out. With the differing storyline and twists, sometimes you might not see it coming or at times you'll feel satisfied, in spite of expecting it, because it was executed very well. The cast did quite a good job I'd say. The most shocking part for me was their true age! Some stories were just okay while others bring in a wow factor. Without a doubt, the endings of most episodes are the *highlight* that may render you speechless. The only thing I really didn't like was how illogical and unnatural some scenes are. Nonetheless, I would recommend it, truly addicting! Can't wait for s2 :)Was this review helpful to you?
A disturbing but compelling watch
FYI: this review is about S1&2This was one of the first asian shows I watched and continues to be one of my favourites. It impacted me to watch other shows in the hopes they would capture the same eerie spirit. I knew nothing about it before watching so the anthology aspect definitely threw me off at first. The longer I kept watching the better the individual stories got and the more I wondered what the next episode could be about. Most of the stories were effective for me and were stressful to watch, because you always see the awful punishment coming. Sometimes the characters deserve it and sometimes they don't which gives the series another extra layer. We don't really know who Nanno is and why exactly she's doing these things but that didn't really bother me. If they would overexplain it wouldn't be effective anymore. We get to see different sides of her throughout and the amount we got was perfect. This was one of the few series I found intruiging from start to end. The Yuri character introduced in S2 was very annoying but made perfect sense in the story. I personally found some parts of S2 to be an improvement over S1 but overall they're on the same level. The ending actually made me shed a tear and I ended up rooting for my sister Nanno.

Found a hidden gem
This drama truly a hidden gem (well atleast for me). I just tried to watch some dramas -other than k-dramas and one of my friend suggest this drama. And omg, it's sooooo cool.Chicha is so pretty, maybe that's what made this girl perfect for Nanno role. The story is different for each episode. Making this series even better, because you dont have to rewatch the previous episodes. I tend to drop some drama that I'm currently watching and continuing it the other day after I finished like 2 drama.
U guys should watch it, but bcs this drama contain a lot of violence, and might be a bad influence for some ppl. I suggest you to brace ur heart (?) And for 18 y.o or older.
By the way I'm waiting forward to the 2nd season!

Gives off Tomie and Black Mirror vibes.
If you've read "Tomie" by Junji Ito I think you'll enjoy this show. It gives off the same vibes and they even look similar. It feels like they have taken influence from Tomie but I'm not sure if that's true. Just as Tomie mysteriously appears and causes mayhem, so too does Nanno, but just in schools.I love mysterious, psychological type of shows so if you are into that I recommend you watch this. Every episode has its own concept (Kinda like Black Mirror) and I personally found them all extremely enjoyable.
Theres a lot of suspense but not too much that its off-putting and the way it was shot and produced was just amazing and it really added to the tense atmosphere.
The one thing I did not like was that it was kind of extreme and at times I was a bit confused... but don't let that stop you from watching since its certainly worth watching!
