Can Love Conquer Destiny?
I was anxiously waiting for this series to get translated to English from GMMTV on YouTube - which didn’t happen... Based on the trailers, I suspected that it had a storyline, strong lead actors who could carry the series, and production values worthy of an international release. Sure enough, Netflix picked it up!The basic premise of the series is whether love can conquer destiny. The multi-relationship story is sweet and the actors are solid, especially lead actor Non Santinatornkul, who plays the lead as Tee in this movie, and Morkut Liu, who plays Pai - Tee’s longtime childhood friend. Both actors are challenged to play charters who are blind but yet they are sighted in real life; they both pull it of brilliantly! Punpun Udomsilp does a great job in her role as Elle, the other main character in the series. It would have been easy for her to have been overly dramatic or sappy but Punpun balances her role well. The rest of the actors are very good and add dramatic tension and a bit of comedy to storyline that could have easily turned into a sappy romance flick. Thankfully, the storyline doesn’t overwhelm you with too many characters, unnecessary relationships, and bizarre plot twists (well there is one) which can needlessly confuse the audience.
Not to get too deep to spoil the series, I’m going to leave it up to you to decide on whether the couples in this series conquered destiny with their love. I highly recommend watching this series!

And when you finished all episodes, you will be hit a bit from what happens. The last 10 minutes of episode 13 are really not what I was expecting. I will not say more, but it fits with the overall story and emotions that this season of Bangkok Love Stories delivers.
I'm in love with the shows coming from GMM25 from Thailand. I hope there will be many more added to Netflix in Germany (and all over the world), so international fans can see more great Thai TV dramas.

This is a good drama that ended badly! Although the drama excels in bringing out a strong sense of family and love, it revolves strongly on how they believed that fate determines people’s destiny. On this drama, love does not conquer all! Although the leading couple chose to believe in the power of love and chose their own destiny, this drama just shows that they could not go against fate. The drama started slow and gloomy and, once the leading couple starts to develop feeling, it gets better until the writer(s) decided to give it a tragic end leading the viewer to believe that one’s fate cannot be changed. It is a shame because the drama has strong characters and good actors, especially Non Chanon Santinatornkul (as Tee) and Morkut Liu, who plays Pai. Even with a slow beginning and the somber tone, this drama could’ve been a very good drama if not for the end! Was this review helpful to you?
Really good drama but is often misread
I think this drama is honestly really great if you look at it the right way.It started off pretty slow but after episode 5 it gets very interesting. The chemistry between the ML and FL was so beautiful to watch.
Many people were not happy with the ending , but in my opinion it made it even better. It shows the reality that not everyone can get their happy ending but also shows how their love was so strong that it changed their destiny ( maybe more like delayed it ).
The drama was not a typical fluffy rom com . it was deep and interesting but also showed their romance bloom.
The ending was sad but if u look at it from a different perspective, it was a beautiful ending because they got to be together that much longer

Well-detailed both thematically and in terms of artwork
The drama was set in Bangkok's Chinatown, and it was nice to see how their culture and details were captured tastefully and vividly. The prehistoric view of gender and the undertones were a bit annoying, but considering the overall quality, it was tolerable. The psychological portrayal of the characters was excellent, with the subtle emotions of each character expressed delicately, interspersed with some humor. The romantic scenes between the main character Tee, his childhood friend Pai, and his girlfriend El were especially beautiful and perfectly in line with the theme. They did great job.
The theme is about fate. In my opinion, "love or fate" and "only love conquers fate" are figurative expressions. More directly, love thwarted by fate is terribly tragic and, for those who witness it, an unforgettable trauma. I guess this kind of story actually starts at the end. The end is fixed, and the whole story looks back to the past.

Also, he's only went blind recently and there are other quite depressing things happening. At episode 3, I can say this thing is quite opposite of sexy story... Why do we have to watch Punpun in a thing full of pain and crying I do wonder.
Episode 4... I somehow wished to turn blind myself. Rather than watch this. It's like, everything I am NOT interested to watch, lol.
I love the poster of this, but that's IT.

Hahaha
