I am so sad to see that this drama not getting any support.
I am often very picky with dramas and have dropped countless dramas in the first few episodes.
When I picked this one, I really wasn't hopeful that I would like it but right from episode 1, I was hooked. In fact I binged watch this in three days!
Although I don't know any of the actors, I am very satisfied with their work esp the dreamy like Master who puts me in a trance!
The story is good enough to make you want to keep moving to the next episode and the filming and production is of good standard.
I very much enjoyed it and now I need to search for the movie version to catch the better ending.
So please give this drama some support.???

A hidden Gem

I really like this drama, tbh, i didn't expected it at all. I though it was jusat a typical youth idol drama since the cast is quite young, but the story progress, I complete change my mind of this drama. This is drama about sincere love.
I did draw back to the Visual FX for the early episode but when I watch the production quality of their set and outfit, it's okay, I can deal with it. Aside with the werewolf bad CGI, this drama has a very eye pleasant visual FX, they put the light a bit dim to fit the tittle; it's not very dim just good enough for the drama. As for the cast, I did surprise about the age gap between MFL and MML but they did have a very good charisma with each other with their role. The SL did a very great job as well for their role. For the story , I also enjoyed the story progress especially the love story of ML and FL. It's just so beautiful.
Overall, a very great drama.

Worth it

I had many false starts on this drama....I had to rewatch the first two episodes more than a couple times because I was distracted by other dramas I'd been waiting on for years (The pillow book.) The beginning of this drama felt a little dry to me, but once I sat down and decided I would watch no matter what....I was glad I did.

Our heroine was super annoying at first...a real spoiled brat, but she grows over time into a genuinely admirable character.

The ML is stoic, mysterious, and dull, but he also grows over time through his interactions with the FL.

My one qualm is that the FL looked and felt like she was 12yrs old up until the time she was sent to Xirong.

The acting of the other characters in Xirong was not great... sometimes laughable, but the FL and ML were decent enough that they carried the plot.

Spoiler.... characters and ships that you love are going to drop and die like it's a GOT spin off.... there are no happy endings even for the one ship that does sail.

The ending itself is very confusing. I was forced to search online until I discovered the movie which continues the story of our FL and ML... so technically there's a happy ending...I guess.

The story itself drew me in. Once I got passed the first 5-7 episodes, I was hooked. WARNING: Our FL suffers ALOT. I would almost compare her suffering to Qian qian in 10MoPB.

She stays courageous and strong throughout. I found myself admiring her ability to fool her enemies while plotting their death.

I would recommend this to anyone.... if you're looking for the happy ending, the movie has the ending you're looking for :-D

I am still crying right now. It was really really sad. So many good people died. I knew An Zi Yi was going to die because they always kill off the cheerful characters. I cried so much when he died. Also the main lead’s separation and their longing for each other was really painful yet touching. I know some people might not like this sort of drama but I do. I always felt sorry for Chu Che, he had to see his loved ones being hurt. He was so close to Yi Luo yet so far from her. They deserved more happy times.
I actually really liked Luo Han Tong. He sincerely loved her even though his actions weren’t right but his death was too much as well. I never liked his brother but he was also really good to Yi Luo. Her acting was superb in my opinion. She was one of the characters who had a major change in their personality and she played her part well.
But overall it was a drama I would recommend to those who like watching costume dramas.

Emotional Roller Coaster

I have come here to write the review after watching the complete drama and a movie. To start with the acting, the whole cast acted well but, I had a problem with ML and FL acting part. There are points in the drama where I have felt that FL overact and ML became over sensitive. I had nothing to do with the emotional character but he shredded tears where there is no point in doing it. The story is pretty promising at the start but drags and becomes bored in the middle, but after a while, the FL story makes it to watch the drama. There are some major problems with the story from nowhere without many scenes the ML showed interest in FL and the same goes for Fl, as she admired the Ml as a teacher and, suddenly they get into a relationship. I was shocked at this. The interaction between FL and Ml is pretty amazing. There was good chemistry between them. The drama is pretty emotional. But it lacks in the story at some point, you will know it if you watch it out. There are major editing problems with the drama if, you use the same location, you can show it with different angles. Background music and OST is the major highlight of this drama. The only reason to rewatch it again if you want to get emotional or become a fan of the cast. You can see the happy ending of the drama if you watch the movie. The whole movie is based on their happy moments and you will get to know how Ml gets saved and recovered.

This is a very distressful drama that, as the synopsis says it is: “A sad and painstaking love story between a teacher and student as it follows the heroine and her plot for revenge.” The drama is a tumultuous rollercoaster that pervades up until the very end. Although the leading couple has a good bantering and fun chemistry, they don’t have a good romantic chemistry. The leading lady, from beginning to end, is impulsive and lacks trust in her relationship with the leading male causing too many tragic turns of events. The choice of a very young looking leading female works well for the beginning when she was very young, but, as the character grows older, the actress’ demeanor doesn’t show physical or emotional maturity since she keeps looking and behaving like a 12 year old. If the viewer likes dramas where the leading couple is mismatched, where there is a prolonged separation for the main couple, and a senseless ending, then this is the drama for you. [The movie is a sequel to the drama and, although it has a fairytale ending you will get to see the leading male recovered, it has a comical atmosphere and lacks a loving mood.]

I really like this at first I thing I m not going to watch but I hooked up ep 1 it's amazing I don't y people don't support this drama ep1-12 it's good nd sweet but after ward's I m start crying in this the character I hate most is not villan but ml sis she is so obsessed with her hubby she only care about herself not about her brother she fl for her purpose I want to slape fl when she goes on hunger strike for her I really feel bad ml he love her so much he did everything for her but she always creat trouble that's ok I really cry when she forced to marry other who gave them the right to take decision for her
Overall it's ok I enjoy all season but if u want happy ending then please watch movies because that's have real ending of the show

Not A Cliche

Accidently stumbled into this drama and though the summary seems cliche, but it's NOT. Like other users said, it's a hidden gem.

Story:
They didn't do revenge troupe, they did it more elegantly. It's actually a 3-part drama with 12 eps each part so be prepared for the transition. The first part is about how the main couple gets closer to each other and solves the FL family massacre. it also shows us the laying ground for the later part about other male characters who put interest in FL. The second part is about FL's life in Xirong with LHY after being tricked. ML doesn't appear much in this part as it's more focused on how FL tries to get through their "break up". 3rd part is the most emotionally exhausting part. LHT's obsessiveness is total nonsense, more than his brother. The ending is rather open-ended. If you want closure, go watch the sequel movie.

Acting:
HLD did her character well, she did both happy and sad scenes nicely and was able to convey Yi Luo's feelings. In the first half, FL is a bit childish but it's understandable as she comes from a noble family. She's wiser in the second half along with all the hardship she went through.
FLJ as ML is the best choice. His expression, his smirk, and his glance are all perfect. Loved his slight smile and sweet eyes when he saw FL.
All cast action might be a bit off, such as the sword-involved one but still acceptable for me. After all, it isn't a huge budget drama. You will appreciate the cast's effort on their action scene more if you watch the behind-the-scenes on the last eps. All cast have done their best on this project.

Music:
OSTs fit well with the story. It adds a more heart-wrenching effect to the story. Here are the songs if you want to hear them on YouTube or Spotify.

Triste e sem final Feliz

Quem fala que o final é feliz esta mentindo. Os primeiros 12 capítulos são tranquilos. Depois é só ladeira abaixo. Não tem um minuto de alegria nos próximos 24 episódios. A protagonista sofre tanto que você consegue sentir. Morre 70% do elenco. O mistério dos lobos não é resolvido. A briga pelo trono é a pior, em termos de violenta, que eu já vi. a FL se torna uma pessoa melancólica, amarga. Não existe sorrisos. SPOILER DO FINAL *SE VOCÊ NÃO QUER SABER DOS ULTIMOS 5 MINUTOS, PULE PARA O PROXIMO PARAGRAFO*. Eles ficam juntos no final, sim existe um casamento, triste, sem sorrisos e dolorido, ele morre após o vinho de casamento no colo dela.

Se você gosta de melodramas esse é um prato cheio. Ele é lindo. A cor, figurino, os atores, cenário, tudo casa muito bem. A história sem duvidas (com exceção dos lobos) é muito boa. Agora se você não gosta de sofrer não perca tempo, pois ele não tem um refresco. Gostaria muito de mais dramas com o ML, ele é ótimo. A FL é muito boa também.


Após a série é altamente recomendado você ver o filme. Acredito que, para aliviar o peso do sofrimento, voltaram com o filme e realmente deram um final feliz ao casal. Sim ele faz uma ligação com a série e começa na cena com ele tossindo sangue. Mas incrivelmente se torna sem sentido com personagens voltando a vida, ameaça de triangulo amoroso, tentaram descer goela abaixo algumas intrigas para que fizesse sentido dar a eles um final feliz. O filme é extremamente mal feito (historia), se passa todo em um deserto e pouca coisa faz sentido depois daquele turbilhão de emoções da serie. Transformaram a FL em uma ciumenta e o ML em uma pessoa extremamente alegre e curada. Apesar de tudo recomendo para tirar o gosto amargo da tristeza da série. É refrescante.
