Junko comes to Korea as an exchange student to learn the language. Upon arrival, she goes to the guesthouse, with its friendly owner, delicious food, and her own private furnished room. There's nothing more she could ever want, until, to her horror, she finds out her room belongs to the owner's son, Jong Man. Junko threatens to pack up her bags and leave, but Jong Man's father begs her to stay, enticing her with a package deal of Jong Man's room, complete with Korean language lessons from none other than Jong Man himself! Jong Man's father forces his son to give the lessons to Junko to make up for the debt he ran up on his credit card, and so begins the tug of war between the owner's son and the guest. For some reason, I had low expectations for this movie but I was really surprised by how funny the writing was and how entertaining the characters were.

I thought My Tutor Friend 2 would be much like the original My Tutor Friend a boy meets girl, high school romance with some angst thrown in the mix. My Tutor Friend 2 is actually more of a light-hearted, fun comedy that appeals to rom-com lovers.

Having seen Lee Chung Ah's stiff acting in Flower Boy Next Door, I wasn't expecting much out of her but she surprised me in this movie. Her acting was very natural and convincing. This is my first time seeing Park Ki Woong act, and his mischievous smiles and wicked expressions left me wanting to see more of his work. Jong-man (or "Junk-man" as Junko refers to him) provided a lot of humor with his bad attitude and misguided lessons. The supporting characters were also a source of much of the humor in this movie. Jong-man's father and Jong-man's two sidekick best friends create some hilarious scenes. The play fighting scene between Jong-man's best friends is one of the most hilarious scenes I've ever seen. Just recalling it makes me laugh out.

For anyone on the edge about watching this, or like me having low expectation for it, I'd say wholeheartedly watch this movie. It's a fun watch and you will be left feeling satisfied with a grin on your face.

It is a cute story, and I enjoyed watching it. I was laughing and grinning like an idiot through most of it(It is one of those feel good movies :))

The leads make a really sweet couple, and "Junk-Man"(lead actor), is super cute ^-^ . The story is simple; Junko(lead girl) comes to korea in search of her crush and ends up getting lessons in Korean from the son of the guest house owner(Jungmon/Junk-man). The lessons were hilarious, and the aftermaths of the teaching even more so :D. I definitely loved "Junk-Man's" style of teaching. The succeeding situations where quite funny, where Junko ends up spouting sentences which are truly comedic :).

But the story is nothing new, we've already seen similar plots in many movies already. The refreshing thing about this movie was one of the supporting cast members, "George". He was a delight to watch in action!

I would have graded the movie higher, but I guess it just didn't live up to its prequel (My tutor Friend, with the amazingly hot Kwon Sang Woo in the lead )

Note:

I didn't really notice the music, which would explain the rating for it.

Rewatch value: I didn't give it much coz the story is simple, watching it again will just be redundant.
