OMG OMG OMG. Most Happy and Best Fantasy drama ever that I have watched in recent times.
I was not so sure whether to watch it or not when it started. It started a little bit weird and ended up satisfying almost all of the fans I guess.
This show is just around 6 guys of the great men academy and a girl who accidentally join them by body transformation.
I was not very much interested on the female actress who played 'Love'. But the show slowly started to pickup and made me wait for every wednesday till today and finally I am so sad that this show ended too soon. Please Nadao Bangkok, consider international fans and provide subs for further shows. Anyhow I would like to thank the subbers who had helped fans like us to watch such a great show.
Coming to the characters.
Love - James just nailed and stole the show from the start. How much craze she had on the ML and decided to move in to a college of guys just for him. James was full of love and emotions through out. And he was so clear what he wants and made a right decision at last.
Vier - He was good in his role and all the time the ML need not be the hero, sometimes he can even be an anti-hero. This drama was an exception. We all know that he doesnt deserve someone like love and I felt so happy that he didnt get Love's love. I am not still used Ice's acting even after watching In Family we Trust.
Tangmo - Probably, Jayler's fan base is gonna get increased after this show I guess. Many times we might the second ML was great than the first ML. But this show did a justice for Tangmo's greatness and fans love towards him. He was a perfect boyfriend material and was just totally in love with love and he was the perfect gentleman out of all.
Nuclear - Nothing much to say, but was he was alright.
Good - Such a gooooood brother he was.
Menn - How cute he was.
Sean/Rose - I felt I was not so okay with this character. Bur for captain, ofcourse he was as usual stealing hearts.

And the teacher was so lovely.

Many shows, we see even though the ML dont deserve, they end up so happily after all evil schemes. But thank god and bless the director for giving the most wanted ending and deserving ending rather than usual cliches.

I strongly recommend to watch it and definitely it will put a smile.

Love knows no gender

Love knows no gender, literally. Im serious, thats what the series is all about - Love losing her real gender to find her true love, and by the end, her gender doesnt matter at all cause she did find the one she was promised. And yes, this is a BL fans clickbait show, cause this is just a show disguising itself as a BL series.

First of all, i have got to say that the cinematography in this series is amazing. They obviously added an instagram-like filter of sheen/decoloration that gave it a unique quality that perfectly fits the fantasy theme.

Another good thing is the exceptional cast. I cant say much about girl Love cause she wasnt really present much but boy Love is amazing in his small eccentricities and subtle movements and expressions - he is after all a girl trapped in a boy's body. Vier is ok, but Tangmo is such a discovery - his character development from a guy on the sideline to the guy to root for is done quite well. Im sure everyone watching fell in love with him in the end. Great job for the writers for making us believe that Vier is the guy to watchout for.

And oh my Sean, right from the start you know there was something feminine in his actions (and of course i love watching Captain, the first reason i came watching this in the first place). Menn is cute, Nuclear is so so, and Good is just adorable.

The main concept of love knowing no gender identity is a good idea in paper, but for a girl to willingly change herself to stalk a guy is just plain creepy. And, to top that, 2 girls pretending to be boys to stalk this awesomely superduper hunk of a greatest guy is not just creepy but psychward worthy crazy batshit. Is this series telling me that what you are is not enough and that you have to disguise yourself to get that true love?

The subplots (im talking to you ghost Som, and yes that harrypotter talking book, and what is that challenge foe the 7 finalist, how do you judge which are the best 3 based on that) are just ridiculous that i constantly have to remind myself that this is a fantasy show. However if you look beyond the cheap and corny bits, you get a show that is entertaining and quite binge worthy. I also love that there's only 8 episodes. And did I mention about the exceptional cast?

I started watching because I saw a clip of Vier helping Love out of the water. Most male actors have a hard time playing a fenale in a male body but this was the exception. Male Love never felt like a guy was the character but it also didn't feel cheesy.
Pros: the acting was incredible. When Love is stuck as a boy in ep 4, her/his screams were so painful. Just like when Tangmo died infront of her/him. Tangmo was also a strong actor, you could see him start to fall for love and his heartbreak was subtle but perfect. Vier's guilt was well portayed as well.
The plot was another pro. Rather than take the general route where a guy falls in love with the guy only to find out he was a she and have a happy hetero ending, this had Tangmo like Love as a guy and embrace that and when he found out Love is a she but stuck as a he, he expressed that he didn't care what her body was just that they were them.
There was more than just romantic love expressed as Vier dealt with his fatherly love, Good and Love shared familial love, and friendship was strong.
Cons: The small con I found was that with only 8 episodes I thought it was a poor choice to have Nuclear have a love subplot. It did not add to the show and took time away. The first episode needed better pacing. The last episode was a bit rushed ad well.
Overall the show was a pleasant genderbend and a story that has everything.

I am so glad that I decided to watch this amazing series because oml did it become one of my favourites already. Firstly, can I just say that this is probably one of the only series I've seen where the Main Lead didn't end up with the Main Love Interest, which is in this case, Love's Love for Veir, which was pretty much emphasised since the beginning - this fact was the drive for the plot to progress on. From my experiences, I honestly suffered from so many Second Lead Syndrome lol that's why I hate love triangles with passion because they mess me up smdmmdmdkdk. Because of this, I was terrified for Tangmo because he will most likely be hurt at some point (which was true but it was worth it) - doesn't help that I love Tangmo since the first time I've seen him so I was full on shipping TangmoxLove haha. Thats why, I was so happy to see that ending; I was genuinely over the moon, never could have asked for a much better one.

Not only did those turn of events made it realistic and interesting, I was also quite intrigued by Veir's character. He is interesting and quite complex but that was what made him such a significant pillar in the story. It shows something different that the audience (and the cast) wouldn't expect because we see him as this perfect cool guy in the beginning, so to see him unveil his flaws and inner turmoil as we progress on was honestly interesting to see. We knew that he is also human and that we all make mistakes because we are blinded but if we come to terms with it and accept it, we can make a change and move on - that was what made his character shine and that makes him so relatable to many people. He was kinda the anti-hero of the story, but that adds layer and depth to who he is, especially when he's beside characters like Tangmo who is explosive and just overly a good guy, a direct contrast to who Veir is but that adds to his appeal in general and I like it.

Another point I would like to say is that I am in love with Tangmo and Love's interactions. Idk, for me it just feel so natural and realistic how they got along as oppose to Love trying so hard to chase Veir that it just felt forced; it just doesn't sit right with me if they are endgame. Tangmo and Love's relationship was gradual, exactly like how I want it - they didn't need some embarrassing BL scenes or those casual cliche touches or smh, it just flowed with the way they interacted and clicked with those scenes they had together. Plus, Tangmo is such a bf material that I was so ready to flip if he doesn't end up with Love snsnnsns. I love the pairing <33 Adding on from that, I like how the romance wasn't all the focus of the series at all. I love how it tackled family disputes, conquering our fears, heartbreak, greed, and so many more. It did so much more than portray romance, it was encompassed of familial love with families, love between siblings, love between seniors/juniors, bond between classmates and teachers. Characters from the story had their own story and focus to share that made the experience more interesting and exciting as opposed to it just being about the main lead all the time. The series had a clear message to the audience that would surely be effective and impactful so I hope that all of us can take something from it to real life which I am certain it will.

Furthermore, can I also add that I was absolutely enamoured about the fantasy part of this series. I like how fantasy was incorporated to a modern setting, creating quite a rather mesmerising combination. It also has a bit of sci-fi horror that made the series, ridiculous at times, but also entertaining as shit. It's quite a breath of fresh air from the usual normal school setting we see and man did I fall in love with that concept. It was honestly so cool how they included VR and also played with interesting magical ideas - I live for it.

However, despite all those points, I wanted to point out though that because GMA only has 8 episodes, it made some of the content rushed and sometimes fall flat. For example Nuclear's mini story. It was honestly a great execution and the intentions were evident but sometimes, I am not sure whether it had any significance compared to the others. It could have been erased, and be replaced with something more relevant that would benefit the series more, but I'm not really all the fussed about it because I love Nuclear. Tbh, there is not a single character I don't like in here I swear lolol. Not only that, Sean/Rose was also a great character but I just wished they had more screentime to delve into their character more. For me, their ending didn't feel secure but I guess I liked how it was mysterious because Sean was just this suspicious person that looks like he has a lot to hide since the beginning. I liked how Rose wasn't some kind of villain that people would have expected to be, but instead she just had the best intentions and never meant harm for Love even though it is clear the Vier favours the latter. She was never malicious to Love and even wanted to help him(her).

Also, because of it being 8 episodes, as I said some things felt rushed, especially the ending. Then again, GMA is not really guilty of this since series that doesn't have many episodes suffer from the same thing sometimes so I'm not really bothered. It just felt like everything is in a hurry to patch up some conflict between the characters which was great, but some of it could have been handled better if not for the lack of time to get a very satisfying ending. But either way I'm not complaining, because it WAS the best ending I could have asked for from this series that I could see it coming from a million miles away so I'm very happy. In the end, it is such a great rollercoaster and I'm so glad that I decided to watch it, so thank you for my friend who recommended it to me lol :D

Before I conclude, I love the OST like bisssh. I am bound to search the soundtrack up at some point because it is amazing and it made the viewing experience all the more enjoyable for me snsnnsms. Not to mention, I commend the cast for an amazing performance, true some scenes felt a bit off and dull, however I have to say I love James (male Love) he has shown once again that he is a talented actor. It is not easy to act his character at all, and for me, it hit the nail in the head - he did it impeccably dndndnj. I've already seen his wonderful acting in Project S and this case was no different, he did amazing as always x. Not to mention, because of this, I've discovered some amazing actors as well so no doubt 100% looking forward for more series from these lovelies especially since they are mostly members of 9x9. So yea gotta say, I've fallen in love with Jaylerr (Tangmo) and Ice (Veir) and pretty much everyone in the squad.

So in conclusion, I've enjoyed this series to the point that it already became one of my favourites. I'm glad that I decided to watch it because oh man, it gives me life. I would definitely rewatch again at some point in the future if I have the time, guaranteed. ~

And finally, I would like to say thank you so much for the people who worked hard to give us international fans subbed episodes. Love ya! We wouldn't have an been able to watch it to it's full potential if not for you guys~

Not bad but not great.

I enjoyed the story! It was such an exciting concept! I understood that the production value for this show was high. They filmed this series on a high budget, but the series left me with mixed feelings. While watching the show, I couldn't care less for the extras and side stories + the trouble that the main character faced; I wished that they focused more on the romantic interest aspect instead of the other problems put forth towards the characters. Overall, many people might enjoy this show because it's very light-hearted (and also easy to watch). However, I just thought the concept was a little unsatisfying to watch. The writing was clumsy, cliche and consistently fell short of exciting. Otherwise, It's a one-time watch for me! It's undoubtedly entertaining.

I found this series from several edits and I didn't really know about the story, but Tangmo's and Love's chemistry got me into watching it.
At first I was kind of "disappointed" to see that Love was acutally a girl. But I continued to watch it to see if it'll get better, and so did it. There was a long time I almost forgot s/he was a girl. There were some plottwist I enjoyed and I loved the ending.
Tangmo is the silly, childish kind of guy which I really liked, and there were many scenes that showed how caring and sweet he is. He's that kind of guy who can cheer you up at any times.
As I said, at the beginning Love seemed kind of boring and too much of "I dont want to be a boy" but as the time went by, s/he more and more started to get to into my heart.
I also liked the story of Menn and his one-sided love, he was so cute. I also find the story about everyday school-life in the Great Men Academy to be very interesting.
Different schedules, it was almost like a school trip.
All in all, you should definitely give it a try!
(btw, the music really fitted and gave a nice touch to everything :) )

I just finished binge watching this, and I'm really glad I did.

At the beginning, I wasn't so sure I was going to like it. The girl Love character came off as really whiny and annoying (at least to me). Then there was the wish with the unicorn. Sure, I realized it was a fantasy but--seriously--if you had one wish, for anything you want, wouldn't you choose something like a long, healthy life, or great wealth... something really lasting? Okay, I get it, she was a young girl and crazy about Vier, but still... (I also found it weird that another girl, Rose, would have made the exact same wish just to get with Vier.)

But, of course, if girl Love had made a really sensible choice, we wouldn't have had a story, lol. Anyway, on to the characters:

Boy Love: I thought he was great, especially for not having all that much acting experience. His dance in the dress, in front of Vier and Tangmo, had me smiling a lot!

Tangmo: loved him. For me, the best and most convincing actor in the cast.

Vier: no question, the guy is smoking HOT. I thought he did a good job with the character and played some of the emotional scenes very well. He started off as this perfect, cool guy, but then turned into a villain of sorts. But we got his backstory and found out why he was such a jerk at times.

Girl Love: wasn't crazy about her at first, but I liked her more as the story continued.

Good: he was absolutely adorable. The scene where he discovers that boy Love is his sister (with a spontaneous hug) is so heartwarming.

Sean: he was okay. I've liked Captain in other things and, while he was fine here, there wasn't all that much to his role.

Rose: it was a small part, but the actress played it well.

Nuclear: mostly a smiley and cute supporting actor, but he really stepped it up when he confronted Vier toward the end.

Menn: no complaints, he was fine in his supporting role.

I liked a lot of the bit part actors, including Aunty, Vier's father, the teachers and the twin girls.

What I didn't like so much was the first part of "The Greatest" challenge, with the kidnapped girl. It seemed to drag on and on, and I found it extremely boring.

But I loved the final challenge and the last episode! The story brought forth a number of important emotional topics, which was great. And, except for Sean/Rose (poor thing), I'm really glad that everyone ended happy and staying friends.

Will I rewatch? Maybe (I've already rewatched a few parts). Do I recommend it? Definitely.

A Very Fun Watch

I found out that this was one of those, "girl turns into a boy" type series right before I started watching. While I was going into this with zero expectations, I was indeed impressed by just how much I enjoyed this series, as well as how much I can say that the plot itself didn't bother me one bit.

Let's Dive In.

Now, I find my opinion on this plot to be a bit split in half. One part of me thinks this was a way to put an imaginary safe net just in case the homophobes found it a problem that two guys were falling in love. I just imagined them shouting out of a window to an imaginary mob saying, "Wait, guys, it's fine, he's actually a girl!" I don't actually believe that their intent was to have a fallback just in case things went south, but, I can see where other people are coming from if that's how they felt. The other part of me sort of looked past it to just really sit back and enjoy the series.

I loved Love. The girl and the boy. I honestly just had a blast watching Love navigate her way into being a boy and discovering her new body and how to "act like a man". It was funny and one of the best aspects of the series.

This BL was new in many different ways. The concept of there being a game that had a magical unicorn at the end was hilarious. We hadn't seen much of that in other series, as well as the academy part. It felt very up notch and secretive. I loved the competition parts of this the most. The VR scenes were the best, and I had a ball while watching.

Tangmo was an incredible character. I immediately pined for him and Love as soon as they met. They went through a lot of trials and tribulations, but in the end, they were able to come together.

Overall, I really recommend this series. I don't know if I would really categorize it as BL, but in any way, it was a fun watch and nice competitiveness that keeps you on your toes.

Story:
At first, I find the story quite ridiculous. However, with a narrator and the magical unicorn, thought I should expect that this is a fantasy and things just happen the way they are. What I really like though are the morals presented. It was shown that love knows no boundaries, it doesn't matter what your sex or your sexual preference is because when you really love someone, you can do things you never thought of, you can sacrifice your own happiness in exchange for theirs. But sometimes even though how much you feel that way for someone, there can be times where they could disappoint you or things don't go your way, but you just have to have faith. I like how the story emit positive, warm, and flattering vibes into every episode and how the way they ended it which was simple yet very fulfilling and sweet.

Acting/Cast:
Everyone gave justice to the roles given to them but I have to give props for James (Male Love) and Jaylerr (Tangmo). James just once again proved how talented and dedicated of an actor he is to every role he receives. His every move in portraying the female Love were very smooth and believable as if he really is a girl. Jaylerr's acting also came out so natural wherein you could really see his energy or seriousness just by the look or smile he gives. If anything though, I think some of Third's (Nuclear) and Jackie's (Menn) scenes look a bit awkward sometimes but all in all, everyone was great.

Music:
I really like the OST sang by 9x9 and that music in the final scene as it really added up some factor of being in that moment.

Rewatch Value:
If I were to rewatch this, I don't think I'll watch every episode but only my favorite parts (probably Tangmo's - because a blonde Jaylerr is a must seen- or the ones of my major ship). However watching them all isn't also bad as there are only 8 episodes after all.

Overall:
This series is perfect if you want to watch something light in your free time. I also think that once you started watching, it'll be hard for you to stop so I recommend you to watch it in the day so you won't sleep late, 555!
P.S. For those who think it's BL, I don't think that it fits into that category because technically, Love is a girl.

I watched a fmv, and the story looked so mysterious to me, so I decided to watch it. I didn't have many expectations. Before I started watching, I prepared for a typical BL series. But it wasn't at all.
I was very confused when the story started with a girl, named Love, while I was expecting a boy (because of the fmv I watched). The series went on and it was clear that none of it would be predictable.
All characters were introduced and I fell in love with all of them. They absolutely chose the right actors. First I didn't like P'Vier (Paris) and Sean (Captain), but at the end I could empathize with them and with the others.
About the story: I have no words for it. But I try to explain it as right as possible.
I've never thought a story with a unicorn could be so realistic and compelling. The love between Love and Tangmo wasn't forced at all. The love triangle was put nicely together. The sudden personages that popped up didn't bother me at all.
About the last episode: I kind of thought it would be predictable, like the most series and films. But I call the last episode the best episode. What they had to do in the final contest was shocking. The scenery was on point. The very end was both expected and unexpected. You can only agree with me if you watched it.
Honorable mentions: I think JJ deserves an Oscar for his role as Love. How hard mustn't it have been for him to play a girl trying to act as a boy while he's a boy himself?
Put it on your ToWatch-list and you won't regret it.

I recently started eating BL dramas and trust me ..a must watch..don’t know why it is not be famous among BL drama lovers list.I generally don’t like writing reviews but I could not stop me from writing it.
This review may contain spoilers,so I am extremely sorry for those who don’t like spoilers so would request them not to read further ,just watch it and enjoy .
Will say that I am really happy after watching it and can consider it among top 5 my favourite Best BL drama list so far that I have watched till now.
Came across it while surfing YouTube,so decided to watch it.At start was bit confused whether to keep watching it further or not ,as I felt it was bit weird ,unicorn and all stuff.I also started watching some other drama in between as first episode I felt was bit weird and something that is not believable but now as I finished all the episodes in a single stretch,I will accept that it’s an excellent work by all director ,actors ,script writer (specially)..will give 11/10 marks to writer for such an amazing script.
All 6 Male cast are too hot to handle.I really feel happy that most of the BL drama directors are female(as per my knowledge). I wish I also meet a unicorn ? one day and wish to be among them.
Beautifully ended ,and always full of surprises,no one can guess what next.indirectly I am also in love with the writer because he set an example that even without or almost non skinship ,a nice BL drama can be written. In complete package,I am not only happy but also satisfied.A great show.Minus the unicorn ? part, bit unrealistic ?.Also was expecting more episodes in between.
All 9*9 rock stars rocked it. I am in love with James(love),he is a sweet darling.A show stopper from the beginning. He loved the character completely,i think in real life also any body will fall in love with him be a girl or boy.
Vier /Ice/Paris - Hooooootttttt..wish him to be an an international star soon. His image however didn’t care out clear to me,a bit confused or may be he played all parts whether being an admirer or villain or a hero at the end was good.A main lead who is not the main lead. This drama was an exception. He look good with P’Rose and too be true love doesn’t deserve him.We all know that he doesnt deserve someone like love and Till the end I was expecting Love and Vier will be together but that’s a surprise..oops..A spoiler..
Tangmo /Jayler- I am in love with u man.I wish I found a ? ,I will wish for me to be young and born in Thailand and be your GF/BF.Each time he smiled ,I died falling in love with him.A type of guy I always dreamed of. He is a perfect boyfriend cum husband material,a gentleman ,his character in this drama made him more perfect...I wish he reads this ..I love love love love love you man .
For rest character like Nuclear,he did good acting ,he was cute.Good was a nice brother, understanding one, every sister can wish for, including me.
Menn was also good, did nice acting, even as a heartbreaker and I loved him while he was dealing with the E-ghost.
Sean/captain -He is smart chap. Another hot guy from the show.
Commenting on Rose/Sean ::Bit confused with his role, tried to be a villain but in between some confusing stuff...ignore!!
Teacher ,I wish we have such cool teachers .Teaching would have been more fun.
I thought in this series also will show gay /BL panic stuff but to my surprise ..I will again appreciate the writer and director for that.
An ending I always wish for ,well deserved ending and best to all ,a happy one,but different then other usual Series.
Please please watch it.Highly recommended recommend to watch it ,full of surprises and perfect ending.
