Lovesick is one of the many movies out there today who doesn't seem like anything special due to its common storyline. Once you actually watch the movie and get into the plot, You'll find yourself falling in love with the movie. What seemed like just another romantic comedy, Will in the end turn out to be a movie of a deeper meaning. With Ariel Lin in the role of Rou Qing falling for a young doctor, acted by Chen Berlin. I will write a spoilerless review.

Liang Ruo Qing was happily in love with her boyfriend, His lifelong dream was always to become famous and so After some chances trying he eventually got recruited as a singer. Due to the wrong timing she entered to see a missleading image of her boyfriend and his manager in a uncomfortable situation, This leading to her belief about her boyfriend cheating on her. Many tears were cried that night, But as time went by she decided she would stop trusting guys. 3 Years has passed since then, And Ruo Qing has grown cold towards men. At her place of working there is a new doctor working, Seemingly perfect. Without a flaw visually, And nice to everybody. Love at first sight makes the situation difficult for Ruo Qing, So she decides to prove to everybody that this doctor Zhe Han isn't anything close to how perfect he seems... However after many tries of finding something bad about him, She only seems to fall for him more and more.
A Story filled with romance you never would have expected. Its not just any story, Its by far worth the watch.

The soundtrack in the movie deserves bragging. The songs that are used are fitting into each of the situations they are used, And they are fittingly choosen for the main cast.

A Story about Love and Heartache, Aswell as the importance of life and happiness.. Recommended for all people who like movies with a message to be told. For everyone who loves a good romantic story.
If you are a fan of either of these, You will love Lovesick.

Loved Ariel Lin and Berlin Chen in In Time With You, so I watched this movie specifically for them. It was a cute movie and an easy way to spend an hour and a half. My only complaint is that they didn't have near enough screen time together.

Just when you think it's over and they're showing NG clips, it cuts back to extra scenes, so keep watching until the credits start rolling.

I have to agree with those who've basically described this movie as nothing special, but I still liked it all the same. It may have been a fairly calculated attempt to cash in on the success of In Time With You, but it worked, at least for me. Of course, I'm a hopelessly biased Ariel fan, so not remotely objective, but my wife and I both found this a light, undemanding and fun way to unwind after dinner, and Ariel and Bolin easily repeated their chemistry from ITWY.

The first half was my favourite, Ariel was genuinely funny in all the more comic scenes. The movie really could have benefited from a more credible development of their mutual attraction, but then I doubt anyone watched this looking for a cinematic masterpiece. The NGs at the end, and ESPECIALLY the scene AFTER them made it all worthwhile.

In summary, not their best work, but the two of them together made overlooking the film's flaws easy, and of course, to quote my wife in summing up the main attraction of the film, speaking of Ariel, "she's a very beautiful lady" . :)

A little endearing but mostly cringy and over-the-top

This is pretty much what I expected from a 2011 Taiwanese rom-com; it's a lot of ridiculousness and slapstick humor, and a lot of the main female lead just bumbling around, being clumsy, overreacting, and making questionable decisions.

Something about this is a little endearing — I appreciate the absolute mundaneness of the male lead, and of the entire situation, despite many of the plot points being common tropes.

However, the weakness of this movie is really with its characters; the male lead is mundane but uninspiring, the female lead is dramatic to the point of being cookie-cutter. It's pretty unclear why they fell for each other, and the addition of a mean female second lead felt pretty unnecessary. The positives were the aunties, who were pretty much there for comedic relief and succeeded at doing exactly that.

I went into this movie trying to somehow get an extended feeling from the drama that both the main actors were in together, In Time With You. And for the most part, their characters are similar, in that Lin Ariel is playing a woman unaware her feelings, and Chen Bo Lin as a likable everyman. I loved them in the drama, but here it seems a like their chemistry is forced a large part of the time; then again, that could be because they weren't together acting against each other as much as I wanted. The story was simple enough, a girl scorned by love, vowing never to get hurt again, meeting a man that SEEMS perfect...but is he? Only time and hijinks will tell. For me the music wasn't as up front and didn't have a lasting effect on me, which we all know in DL if there's a great OST in the drama your watching, it can stick with you better than anything else. the only thing I could say that makes this movie memorable is the last twenty or so minutes-that's when all the crazy makes the movie worth sitting there for an hour and a half. I would recommend this to someone who wants to laugh, and someone who likes cute but surprisingly endearing endings(just make sure to watch the credits; the extra scenes here are why I would watch this movie again)
