reached the end - astonishingly this drama…

reached the end - astonishingly this drama in-spite of humongous hurdles, let alone plot-holes, zoomed by. but back to the ep, how maniacally narcissistic r u to say "u never betray Tharn" after all the things u have gotten up too (⊙o⊙) Lhong bat shit crazy, so was happy when Thran went back home to 'lick his wounds' and didn't lean on him. Lhong's "i'll always be there for him. but he never wants me.." is a case of 'if i can't have him, nobody can.." - freakin nutter, now more then before am 100% certain he's been sabotaging All of Tharn's 'ships' too-date. so find it ironic everyone keeps telling this snake, how much they appreciate the fact he always "there for Tharn" (ノω<。)ノ ****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Thorn going to question Type is cute, but Type just sitting playing mute - totally frustrating. why keep Thorn out of the loop? maybe he could help. cause i still doubt Type means to actually break-up with Tharn. but guess we needed so suspense a sec from the end meeh just frustrating to watch character's turn mute. thankfully Type gave in - not that we got to hear what's what. **************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************applaud Tar for telling Type the truth, let alone showing him the clip of the rape - but what came out of it?!? poor guy has to relive that sh*t just to help Type 'out' Lhong, but it doesn't help him, not with head-moron Techno sitting there after viewing the clip and questioning if Tar's "faking it" (after seeing how Tar looked and reacted to the confrontation) how stupid can that moron get?!? that was adding insult to injury after everything Tar has been going through. and i was infuriated that Type as a victim, couldn't offer more support to another hurting soul. he just interested in his own ass - i.e his situation with Tharn and Lhong. while Tar in-spite of everything could think of another, begging Type not to break-up with Tharn - this so freakin sad. *******************************************************************************************************************************************as per usual the real victim's get pushed to the sidelines, as long as the mains get together. the fact that real issues r just used as filler to fluffy up the plot and then left open or ignored, as if they have no significance is infuriating to watch. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************but kept on in the hopes will find one redeeming thing till the end - Type confronting Lhong, go to see the dude that's been violent, a short fuse from the start of this, punching everything in sight. suddenly when he needs to actually fight - just takes it? and from a beanpole like Lhong??? and the ones on the side lines, just sitting around watching while Lhong chokes Type out ? until his last breath?!? **************************************************************************************************************** everything that follows felt like the only thing Type and Tharn were talking about were, themselves 😒 everything revolved around their asses and no matter what or whom they talked about, it ended at their own two feet. everyone that got hurt cause of Lhong and Tharn, was collateral damage, their pain negligible. with all the evidence they collected, if they really cared (had a bleeldin conscience, and were really sorry for everyone that suffered, just cause they got near Tharn) they could put Lhong behind bars and get justice for poor Tar (for all the poor hurt souls). that would be a major step in Tharn putting action behind his words that he was really/actually sorry. let alone enable Tar to start healing, as he would get affirmation that he was an innocent victim (which is needed as he still carrying that sh*t around in Love by Chance, which is a few yrs after this mess - how heartbreakingly sad). but the people involved r too self-centered to think that far, and as long as Lhong stays away from the pair the rest could burn?!? *******************************************************************************************************they could care less as we see scene after scene of their bliss - not happy with this "conclusion" their happily ever after - could care less. same with Lhong find comfort in his sisters arms, like f*ck off with this halfassed ending - and after watching this. yeah not boring, but far Far FAR! from perfect. this an average BL at best, and i'm being generous

The story is plain trash sorry not sorry

/!\ Big trigger warning in my review as I talk about some very traumatizing elements of the story including r*pe and p*dophilia, homophobia and toxic relationship. /!\Im not gonna lie, I was so excited when TharnType was annouced because I loved LBC so much. I happen to also love P'Mew a lot so yeah, I was ecstatic. But GOD how goddamn disappointing it was. I have so many issues with the story and so many problematic and dangerous factors for the entire lgbtqa+ community (which im a part of, for more clarity) are shown and this is not okay at all. The first thing that shocked me the most was how can you think it is realistic (and okay) to create a gay character and make him fall in love with a homophobic one. The dude is literally calling him a filthy f*g and telling him to get out of their shared room because he is gay. Like... no. Please, let him have some respect for himself for the goddamn love of god. Not realistic, not cute, not "omg poor him". Just... no. The second thing (that shocked me even more than the first one) is this like kinda background story for Type in a attempt to justify his despicable behavior. I don't even have the words for it. How, as a writer of Boy's Love story (aka you're supposedly at least someone who tolerates the lgbtqa+ community right?), can you think in your goddamn right mind that it's okay to justify your character's homophobic ways by making him the victim of a child predator? And make the gay character APOLOGIZING ABOUT IT????????????? At least use the trashy background story to EDUCATE bigoted people? Like "hey guys, being a child predator man who likes little boys has nothing to do with being gay", it's that simple. Literally THAT simple. I am astounded by that and not in the right way. The third thing is obviously this goddamn toxic relationship between Tharn and Type but hey, what can you expect from a love story between a gay dude and a homophobic piece of sh*t (and with a very very very bad reason too) (not that there is a good reason to be homophobic but come on this makes it even worse). Toxic relationships are not cute, not romantic, they are abusive and dangerous. It doesn't give you a happy ending, often leaves you very traumatized and can give you a lot of mental struggles in the aftermath such as depression and/or PTSD. Such a bad example of love to show in national television (and the rest of the world). Stop romanticizing toxic love. It is not. Last thing that comes to mind is Lhong. Why? Why... this awful character? Why does he get to walk free in the end? Shouldn't he be in jail for literally like... I don't know... organizing and filming a gang r*pe of a minor (and even if the boy was an adult for that matter)????????? Like the dude is sad and alone and all... but he's a criminal who did awful things, why is there no real repercussion for him? What was the purpose of the existence of such a terrible character if there is not even a real moral of his story? Is he just here just to be an atrocious son of a B? If so, why? I just don't get it. Anyway, I think you get the gist of what I think of TharnType. What makes me very sad is seeing how popular it is amongst the BL watchers community (and I've been a part of it for a long time) despite being this bad. I'm still going to watch season 2 and the extra content because I'm very curious to see if it gets actually better or... worse? But then again, is it really possible to make it worse than it already is? The 4 points I gave is for the casting and the incredible chemistry between Mew and Gulf. I really really loved the casting. It made me discovered good actors like Kaownah (despite the character he's playing, he's still very talented and cute I think. Loved him on Nitiman, love his couple with Turbo, can't wait to see him more!), or even Gulf. Everything else... is complete trash. 🤷‍♀️

TharnType The Series =MewGulf

Warning: This is a Boy's Love/ Yaoi drama (LGBT theme). Watch the drama at your own risk!

This BL drama can be considered as underrated at the beginning because it was not produced GMMTV. In my observation, GMMTV is the biggest producer of BL drama with many popular BL actors/koojin under the company such as TayNew, BrightWin, SingtoKris and OffGun. Both lead actors- Mew Suppasit and Gulf Kanawut were not signed under big names and yet they reached stardom from this series. Now, Mew Suppasit has his own company and Gulf has signed under Channel 3 -their career progressing in steady speed and getting better each day- all thanks to their hardwork in the drama.
Although there are a few things were questionable about the characters and story, I believed the production team and the director did a great job on this drama. Tharn Kirigun- Mew Suppasit's character is totally a boyfriend material although his 'seducing' method quite questionable (you gotta watch to understand what I am talking about 🧐). However, I still can put it behind me and adore him to be with Type- the handsome but foulmouth 'room mate'. Tharn will made you want to have someone who is as attentive, kind, patience and hot as him in your real life (as he did in mine). His character is far from perfect- epitome of when you trully love someone, you will embrace his flaws too. Same goes for Type - at the beginning you will wonder what made Tharn head over heals for him yet as the story progresses, you will see that both characters are cut for each other. Gulf Kanawut is perfect for Type- although he is still green, but his acting skills made you believe that he is Type Thiwat.
The comedy antics by Type's bestfriend cum as sidekick - Techno was hilarious to me. Compared to Techno's character in Love By Chance (produced by same writer) played by a different actor, for this series, the production was right to choose Mild Suttinut. He played a big role in Tharn-Type's relationship and he shone on his own character. The soundtrack of the drama also catchy and really suits the drama even the background tune can easily made you recall which scene happened with the tune. My fave will definitely the acoustic version of "Hold Me Tight" by Mew Suppasit- he nailed the song in his own style compared to original singer- Off Chainon.
All in all, Tharn Type the series season 1 made me fell in love with MewGulf and appreciate their talent. This drama worth a good rating as the director and production team hard work should be acknowledge.

A must watch for new bl fans

Overall review

This is a very good bl for all the new fans out there but fair warning it has some very triggering scenes. The show is redeemed by the actors who have the best chemistry! Not gonna lie mewgulf (the actors) have better chemistry off the show. The ost is really good especially Mew singing the title song. It has a very happy ending so no need to be scared about that. Also the steaminess and like skinship is a bonus.

Plot

Its basically a story about teo college roommates who go from enemies to lovers. Type(gulf) is a homophobe while Tharn(mew) is homosexual, tensions arise when Type finds out Tharn's sexual orientation. Type goes out of his way to try and make Tharn leave their shared room but Tharn is persistent not to as he believes(and rightfully so) that his sexuality is not wrong. Somewhere along the lines or hate they form a sexual relationship which soon turns to an emotional connection. The side couples are not that prominent but you do get scenes in which the show portrays how traumatic the life of a sexual asaault survivor is. Ironically they fall short at defining what consent is. And like i mentioned above it has a really happy ending (the sequel and special episodes too).

CastMew Suppasit as Tharn - This guy is so fine and the chemistry he has with Gulf is just sizzling. He really did justice to his role.Gulf as Type - He is really handsome and displayed emotions rather well even though this is his first series.

OST

Unlike many other bls the ost is very good in this series, especially the title song (which Mew has covered in his angelic voice too)My favourite partsI love that there were actual proper kisses and NC in tbis show also i cannot repeat enough times the chemistry between the actors cuz its sizzling hot. On and off screen. I also liked Techno's character cuz he is such a cute friend. I was rather surprised by thr plot twist even though i sas it coming by episode 8 or 9 because they gave us subtle hints. The special episode they aired was just amazing and now we even got a season which is over but hey season 2's special episode is yet to come so impatiently waiting for that.

Overall I really loved the series and the actors.

Five Stars

It's great!. Although I feel like it's lacking on support lead's development on type's side. They mainly focused on tharn's exes and those that likes him too. Would give 9.0 - 9.5 technicality wise, but it's one of my favorites so I'll make an exemption. ≧﹏≦. You guys should watch ittt. Definitely worth watching with people and seeing them fangirl. └(^o^)┘~^O^~

Twist

Ok then. I didn't see that coming.Type doesn't like being stuck between Tharn and all the circumstances Tharn finds himself in. Can you blame him? Or is he just over reacting?

Three Stars

Relação saudável te assusta, produção? ai sinceramente, tantas problemáticas juntas que nem vou me dar o trabalho de comentar. Dou algumas estrelas apenas pela atuação (e olhe lá)
