Love You Forever (2020)

Heartbreaking time travel fantasy romance drama

After waiting months for this to be available online, I have finally watched it!! It thankfully met my expectations from watching the trailer and the MVs. You think it's the usual time travel plotline but it's different in a way. It is pretty refreshing watch since I've never seen this kind of time travel used (might just be me though).

Plot:
Our male lead goes back in time (in a way) to save the life of the woman he loves. As a consequence, he ages and is forgotten every time he resets the timeline. He does this multiple times and it's utterly heartbreaking. I feel so bad for him and his ill-fated love with Qiu Qian. The entire movie goes back and forth between present and past as Qiu Qian unravels the truth by reading his journal as he lies in the hospital unconscious. I won't spoil the ending since I've already said too much but definitely a bittersweet one. If you want to watch a fluffy happy ending, do not try this. This will not be right for you. On the other hand, if you're down for sad-ish ones, please do watch this! (prepare a few tissues)

Cast/Acting:
Excellent, amazing, fantastic.. I ran out of compliments. This is my first time seeing the male lead but he was so great. The emotional scenes when he cries just broke my heart. He made me cry a few times, especially when he talks with his dad. And as for Li Yi Tong, I've seen her around but this is my first time seeing on her on the big screen as well. She did just as great and the chemistry between these two leads were off the charts. They looked so cute and sweet together, so it really hurt to see them suffering. The supporting cast were awesome too.

Music:
Wow, the songs are just beautiful. I believe there are two? One by Aska Yang and the other sung by our very own male lead who plays Lin Ge. Both are very fitting songs for this movie, especially Aska's that was played in a scene.

Rewatch Value:
Just random since I don't usually rewatch movies.

Overall, good watch for me. I am satisfied with how it ended. You may not be if you prefer solid happy endings but otherwise, give this a go!

Perfect

First his love towards her make me so emotional especially the last time he sacrificed for her when he was on the urge of his death. That moment made me cry . And the way she felt helpless to save him and pray to God while turn the knob of the clock to bring his life back . That part was too emotional.
Story was very good . Very unique way of using time travel and happy to see that she was felt for him all the time irrespective of his age .
His never give up attitude made the story romantic as well as emotional.
It is a movie so it has to be short story but I wish this story also has a drama of some 16 episodes because I wanted to see her parts when God gives her a chance .

কেউ ভুলে ভুল করেও চাইনিজ মুভ 'Love You Forever' দেখতে বসবেন না।
গ্রুপে অনেক অনেক রিভিউ দেখবেন, মুভিটা অনেক ভালো - এসব নিয়ে।
অনেকে আপনাকে কুতাল দিবে, সাজেশন দিবে, জোর করে হলেও মুভিটা দেখাতে চেষ্টা করবে। ভুলেও এসব কিছু কানে তুলবেন না।
মনে রাখবেন, এসবকিছুই ষড়যন্ত্রকারীদের কুচক্রান্ত।
এটা মুভি না, এটা একটা ঘোর। একবার মুভিটা দেখতে বসলে এই ঘোর থেকে আর বের হতে পারবেন না। দিন-দুনিয়া আর কিচ্ছু ভালো লাগবে না। গভীর ডিপ্রেশনে পড়ে যাবেন। সব অর্থহীন মনে হবে। ভাত খেতে ইচ্ছে করবে না।
এই মুভি যারা সাজেস্ট করবে, মনে রাখবেন তারা আপনার শত্রু। আপনি ভালো থাকেন তারা এটা চায়না বলেই তারা এই মুভি আপনাকে দেখতে বলবে। দেখতে না চাইলেও জোর করে দেখাবে। ভুলেও এদের ফাঁদে পা দেবেন না। কেউ এই মুভি সাজেস্ট করতে আসলে, এই মুভি নিয়ে আলোচনা করতে চাইলে সাথে সাথে তাদের ব্লক করে দেবেন।
আর যদি তা না করেন, যদি তাদের কথা রাখতে গিয়ে মুভিটা দেখে ফেলেন, তাইলে পরে আমার মত পস্তাবেন। গভীর রাতে ছাদে উঠে একা হুহু করে কাঁদতে ইচ্ছে করবে। বুক টা হাহাকারে ভরে উঠবে। প্রেমিক/প্রেমিকা থাকলেও নিজেকে সিঙ্গেল মনে হবে। আর সিঙ্গেল হলে শুধু এক্সের কথা মনে পড়বে। বারবার মনে হবে কেন এমন হলো? এমন না হলে কেমন হতে পারতো! কিচ্ছু ভালো লাগবে না, কিচ্ছু না!!
আমার যা বলার ছিল, বলে দিলাম। পরে মুভি দেখে ভাত খেতে ইচ্ছে না করলে কেউ আমার দোষ দিতে পারবেন না। আমি কিন্তু আগেই সাবধান করছিলাম!

Clever use of time travel

This is a beautiful and sad love story.
The ML puts his love ahead of his own future.
Through a magical watch he is given the chance to change the future to help the FL fulfill her destiny.
In the times they are together as a couple their love shines out.

The time travel has unexpected consequences and he continues to love and support her from a distance. His rapid ageing is done really well.

I kept wanting a fairy tale ending and we are offered this but it is not the truth. At the end there is a sad redemption and throughout the story we are given glimpses via the diary he keeps.
