Coffee Friends (2019)

Great little variety show about four actor friends running a cafe on Jeju Island to raise funds for a charity. Prior to watching, I didn't really pay attention to the fact that these actors were all in this... so when i clicked on it haphazardly just to check it out a couple days ago, I was startled to find some of my favorite actors from shows I've just recently been watching or am currently watching. I especially loved trying to forget that Yeon Seok was not still Gu Dong Mae from Mr. Sunshine. LOL (I miss that character!) The show is well worth the watch - enjoyed every minute of it. The dependency on each other as a team under stress was intriguing to watch and often times super emotional. Once I started it I couldn't stop. They have a handful of guests on the show that make it fun as they come in for a day or two, including Jo Jae Yun, Nam Joo Hyuk, Baro, Se Hun (EXO), Yun Ho (TVXQ), Daniel Kang (Wanna One), and last but not least Baek Jong Won (their teacher and guest). You can now binge this like I did since the show wrapped up on March 8 2019. There really wasn't that much music driving this show, so that's why I gave a low rating.

I was sad when I found out this was just ten episodes lol so please give us another season creators! For one I really like all the main team, especially Yoon Seok and Se Jong were my absolute favs! I don't know I started to really like their dynamic they all had their own special talents. My favorite episodes were for sure Sehun, and Yunho one and also Nam Joo hyuk. It was a really challenging job so it was nice to see that I was right in picking my biases lol I also liked Baro, he was adorable, and Kang Daniel was the cutest! Most of all Sehun being a total hyung to Daniel lol my fav moment! And honestly I think Yoon Seok is such an amazing guy I really adored him in Busted and now this! He's meticulous and sweet and cares about people, and Ho Jun it's unbelievable how good he was at being a barista. Jin Woo was also peaceful and calm and determined I loved her knack for making pretty things. Se Jong sigh he's my favorite actor and I absolutely adored him in this! Though I feel like there should have been more actual conversations and living situation scenes with the cast like there was in the last episode. But still I really loved their bromance in general. Yoon seok with Se Jong, with Sehun, with Yunho even. Honestly so good!

Coffee Friends, a cosy and charming show with an incredible cast.

Coffee Friends is for me one of the best variety shows I have ever seen. We would like it never to end.

The casting is fabulous! The duo Son Ho Jun and Yoo Yeon Seok is working exceptionally well. Throughout the program, we see that there are real friends. Yang Se Jong and Choi Ji Woo are genuinely excellent and bring a great dynamic and their own thing. Moreover, all the episodes a lovely new guest come to help, and those who are used to Korean shows and stars will see known faces (with probably some of your favourites Korean stars and idols)

Besides, if you are a gourmand, this show is a real pleasure for the eyes. There is in every episode close-ups on drinks, dessert dishes!

And to finish what I liked the most was to see the coffee shop evolve, it's so exciting to see them working, to see customers go wild over their food or drinks. I think they managed successfully to create a cosy and charming mood.
Not to mention that all the coffee shop profits go to charities.

In short, it's a show to watch on any occasion! With a little preference under the duvet with a good hot chocolate.

I really love the concept of this show. The members' hard work and chemistry is so great. Their cooking skill is no joke!! Every time they add new menus, I get so nervous, but they make it so fun and good. I hope this show will continue and have more episodes. Really love the 'part time ceremony' :). Looking forward for new episodes. They have done a good job!! good job PD nimmmmm!! their menus make me drooling at home. hahahaha. i really love their manners. somehow makes me want to go to Jeju Island, like literally right now! i really hope there are more seasons :P

Untuk menggalang donasi, Yoo Yeon Seok mengunjungi pulau Jeju dan membuka sebuah cafe di tengah perkebunan Jeruk Keprok. Ia, Son Ho Jun, Choi Ji Woo dan Yang Se Jong bekerja keras mengelola Cafe dengan 13 menu yang beragam. Dari susu Jeruk Keprok, Kopi Gilingan, Teh Madu Jeruk, Semur Babi Hitam sampai roti panggang dengan selai srikaya. Demi mendapat hasil yang maksimal, mereka belajar memasak hingga ke Baek Jong Won , bahkan Ho Jun mendapat lisensi untuk barista.

Merasa kewalahan dengan banyaknya pelanggan yang kian hari makin bertambah, ia memanggil pekerja paruh waktu. Jae Yoon, Yunho TVXQ, Baro, Kang Daniel, Baek Jong Won, Oh Sehun hingga Nam Jo Hyuk dipekerjakan bergantian.

Nonton ini sekalian belajar manajemen bisnis restoran dan senengnya tipe variety show ini berkembang pelan. Misal, menu yang awalnya sederhana diperkenalkan dulu ke pelanggan lalu bertahap ditambah menu yang lain. Ditambah pemandangan perkebunan jeruk yang seger banget, salut sama Na PD, karena belum pernah kecewa sama variety shownya. Mereka sebut ini proyek "Funation" atau Fun Donation karena keuntungan bisnis ini semuanya didonasikan.
