In a posh hotel room, the body of a beautiful woman, a high-ranking employee of an advertising firm, is found in a pool of blood. The police quickly nab the most obvious suspect near the scene, a young man clutching a canister of gasoline. What initially seems like an open-and-shut case for hard-as-nails prosecutor Choi and his team quickly unravels – not only does the suspect, Kim, refuse to confess and moreover pass a lie-detector test, other suspects with very strong motives for the crime start to surface. And then there’s the highly unorthodox new television program that attaches itself to the investigation, broadcasting every development in real time across Korea, putting even greater pressure on Choi and his crew of quirky colleagues. As the hours slip by, the autopsy reveals startling new evidence, witnesses provide complicating testimony and lack of sleep takes its toll on the investigators as internal tensions begin to mount. Then matters take a turn for the weird when the TV producers bring in a spiritualist and her daughter to summon the victim’s ghost… Edit Translation

Wow!! I didn’t see that coming!! Is all I can see after finishing this film.

Choi Yeon Gi (Invincible Cha Seung Won) is a hot tempered diligent prosecutor who chases the truth till the end. One day he takes charge of an appalling crime of a young and beautiful woman. Prosecutor Choi starts digging in the case, the more he digs the more discrepant the results are. Faced by the complexity of the case and the big obstacle of having the investigations broadcast to the whole nation; Choi Yeon Gi find himself in a tie. When everyone else believes the case is solved; only Prosecutor Choi doesn’t.

The film starts as a typical investigation and mystery film but as it goes; it gets more intriguing, more enigmatic and more interesting. Cha Seung Won’s moments with Shin Ha Kyun –acting the main suspect; Kim Young Heon- are so mystifyingly nerve-wracking. The deep questions he throws at his boss (Sin Goo) and the cynical but meaningful arguments with his fellow prosecutor Sung Joon (Ryu Seung Ryeong) are priceless. The ending is astonishing and I never saw it coming.

This is an average film but that's not a negative. It's a crime thriller with an interesting story. What was really great was the movie is essentailly broken down into chapters. We watch as Choi thinks he has the killer caught red handed and then realizes, as more information comes in that may not be the case. I loved how all the fact were being pulled together from different perspectives. The part about the shaman I thought was wierd but it didn't really hinder the story. But what a twist ending. Worth watching at least once.

The biggest plus is this stacked cast. So many good actors here and once again Shin Ha Kyun was excellent. I loved Cha Seung Won, Ryu Seung Ryong and Jang Young Nam as well.
