The universal theme of friendship, in all its vulnerability, tenderness, and purity, is explored in this drama. The flow of seasons forms a thematic continuity to the action: the severity of youth in summer, the sentimentality of autumn, and the frustration of winter. Together, this group of boys cope with common adversity, face the death of a friend, and prepare to deal with the world of adulthood. (Source: TBS) Edit Translation

Reviews
Teenage angst and rebelliousness
I started watching this drama simply because I wanted to see Sachiko Sakurai but by the end of the first episode I was hooked. The way that the drama explores the angst the young characters are feeling and the way they rebel against society and the corrupted adults, it was really compelling. We have a mix of delinquents, rejects, sick/ fragile characters who seem to have no worth in the eyes of society, yet they struggle though, fall in love, navigate friendships and their limitations in a condescending and judgmental world.
I loved this drama, definitely going to re-watch it soon
