Eoh Wu Dong (1985)

At the time of King Sung Jong, the ninth king of the Joseon Dynasty, the abusive Confucian ideals of 'the seven valid grounds of divorce' and 'domination of men over women' were becoming outdated. During this time, a young maiden of noble birth named Eoh Wu Dong was in love with a man of low station. In defiance against the rules of the noble class, Wu Dong runs away from her marriage and chooses death. A woman named Hyang Ji rescues Wu Dong from the claws of death.
