Shogo Higuchi is a detective whose wife was murdered by a serial killer. Hikari Tachibana is a voice profiler whose father was murdered. She has a special hearing ability which allows her to hear minutiae sounds that other people do not. Victims in criminal cases call #110, which is connected to the emergency control room. To save people as quickly as possible, an investigation "emergency call response unit" is formed. Hikari Tachibana works in the emergency control room and gathers location information from callers with her special hearing ability. She passes on the information to Detective Shogo Higuchi in the emergency call response unit. Detective Shogo Higuchi then goes out with his team to save the victims. They must respond as quickly as possible during a crime's golden hour. (Source: AsianWiki) Edit Translation

Reviews
It's a nice adaptation.
Every time there's a Japanese adaptation of a Korean drama I'm always interested. Especially if it's a drama that I really like. Voice 110 was like that.Overall, the Jdrama really stayed true to the original while injecting a localized Japanese flavour to the original story. Since usually the renzoku format of most Jdramas are shorter than the usual lengths of an average kdrama, initially I was concerned whether or not the Jdrama could fully integrate most of the original plot and conclude it nicely. Turned out that I didn'treally need to worry about that.
For viewers already familiar with the original Voice, watching the Japanese adaptation may feel redundant since you should already know most of the big twists and reveals. Not to mention how some of the more gruesome cases/scenes from the original may not be included or changed. But honestly, this Jdrama may still intrigue you still since there would be some plot points that may happen in a slightly different way compared to the Kdrama due to the shorter run.
While the Jdrama may not be as brutal and graphic as the original, the drama still manage to give quite an emotional ride. Not to mention you may end up finding easter eggs paying homage to the original kdrama at an unexpected moment.
This show has great specific detail of how a policeman and/or detective in a certain department works, from the inside out, and how they all cooperate together from the 911-call-center (or 110-call-center in Japan) to how they are sent out and how they "work" each call. It was amazing to watch them handle each case!
If you are a fan of Karasawa Toshiaki, Maki Yoko, Kimura Yuichi, Masuda Takahisa, YOU, Iseya Yusuke, or ANYONE AT ALL IN THE ENTIRE CAST, then you definitely need to watch this show! It is an action-packed, emotional, fantastic rollercoaster from start to finish! It was known from the beginning that there was one large case for the show in its entirety, however, the amount of time and detail used in each episode was spectacular! It was a very detailed, intense, and dramatic showing of a "cat and mouse game".
This show, even if it is a copy, should not be missed! The cast, the way the show itself is filmed and created, is one of the most superb views I have seen in a long time!
