Story: The story's very simple. It's about the friendship of 4 40yr old men and their love lives. I wanted to rate it higher because despite of its simplicity, I really enjoyed it. However, I was kind of irritated with the lack of focus on other pairings when their story was much more interesting than the main couple. Like how they didn't show the backstory between Yoon&MeAhRi; and JungRok&MinSook;. I felt that these two couple had the most interesting story especially since they had the most history of knowing each other. JungRok and MeAhRi's character were also underdeveloped, good thing the actors did a wonderful job making me love them.

Acting/Cast: All the actors were really good with their roles. Their acting felt natural and they all had great chemistry together... except for the actress playing Yi Soo. I don't know why but I really did not warm up to her. The main reason is probably how her character was written in the beginning but then, her acting just didn't help. She overacted way too much in the first half of the show. She's supposed to be around 35 but like, really? You react that way when you see a man in an unbuttoned shirt? It's not like he's naked... Also she's not supposed to like the guy in the beginning, but she's always trying to look cute around him which made her look flirty. Ugh. I disliked her so much that I forwarded almost all of her scenes by the time I was at ep8. Although, I have to admit, I quite like her when she's in teacher mode and when she's with the 3 girls.

Music: The songs they used were all good and very catchy and it fitted the scenes that they were used in. :)

Rewatch Value: I don't really rewatch shows. But there were a lot of scenes that I would probably want to watch it again. All of the scenes of the 4 men 'cause their friendship is just too darn cute. And TaeSan&SeRa; and Yoon&MeAhRi; moments 'cause these two are my favorite couple. :)

Overall: I was supposed to give this a 7 'cause as I've said I forwarded almost all of Yi Soo and I'm not the type to forward scenes. But then decided to give it an 8 because I really enjoyed almost everything about it (If only there were less of Yi Soo and more of Yoon&MeAhRi;) :( hehe.

Is this true that this writer also wrote the masterpiece Secret Garden? Perhaps my expectations were too high. I love most dramas, but it took me several weeks to get through this. It can best be described as "Frat Boys Still Live Together at Age 40". There were no dramatic moments such as in Secret Garden.
Here are my main criticisms : 1. The main tension or conflicts didn't ramp up until the second half and I was already tired of the slow pace.
2. The main female, Seo Yi Soo, was too immature and childish as a 35 year old woman. It was annoying to watch her stomp her feet and shake her body at constant embarrassment like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. Her reaction to a handsome admirer giving her a kiss was one of a startled deer wide open eye looks. She's supposed to be a mature teacher of challenging teen males and a baseball umpire. This did not fit at all and I did not see a love connection with depth.
3. There was absolutely no kissing between any of the other romantic couples. COME ON! One couple is married and one is getting married!
4. There was no time spent on the most interesting couple. How did a poor playboy marry a sophisticated wealthy heir? And he's unfaithful at that. Quite improbable, but there was at least potential there.

In summary, this could best be described as cutesie or "men having fun." If you don't like the first few episodes, it doesn't get better. I regret watching 20 episodes when there are a lot better.

My fellow drama lovers this drama can be tagged as being hilarious with a dash of romance. It's a non typical plot surrounding the life of four men who have been friends and brothers, since high (middle) school. They share all their experience from youth to adulthood, as they look out for each other. They even give each other counseling on relationship issues. My favorite part in this story are the comical aspects of their friendship from begin to end. It sort of makes you wish that someday you will have a strong bond like this with someone. This is like the male version of sex in the city Korean style, and everything is permitted in love. However one problem i have with this drama is the main female's over hysterical crying and at times odd behavior, but I guess this is what makes the main male role love her so much. To put it simply, this drama is like a pick-me-up when you are having a rough day and in need of some amusement.

This drama really blew me away. I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. Where to start?

The bromance in this story is definitely some of the best I have ever seen. The guys' relationships with each other is just perfect. They give you a flashback of when they were younger before each episode and I found myself crying from laughing so much.

The romance is also amazing as well. The story plays out really well and gives all the characters a chance to shine, and you really get attached to them. I could of easily watched 20 more episodes of just the everyday lives of these guys.

It really does prove that some boys just take longer to turn into men then others, and that it's not necessarily a bad thing.

The only reason I give the music a 9 is because I really did not like the songs that were sang in English, they made me cringe, but other than that the soundtrack is pretty good.

I watched this with my husband and even he enjoyed it as much as I did. It's definitely a nice change watching a drama based around adults, and the older you are, probably the more you will enjoy this.

A must see, don't continue to put this one on hold, just go watch it!

So ... (Sorry for my english)

For the Story --> All stories are very great ! We laugh, we cry, we are angry, we are happy, we are excited ... (Yess, alll of these feelings) with the characters !

For Acting/cast --> The casting is a good choice ! (Kim Ha Neul is one of my favorite actress)They play very well their characters and we can see they enjoy this job !!
One Except : I Hated the character of MeAhRi (1 to 17 episodes) ! She annoyed me !!!

For the Music --> WOW ! This Music ! She make me cry ! Really ! And she make me laugh, with the "Fighting" song ! Ahah !

Rewatch Value and Overall --> A gentleman's dignity is one of the best drama I ever watched ! I fnished it in a very short time because we're quickly addicted !
It's better if I stop now, otherwise I risk to spoil !!

A Gentleman's dignity...I still must laugh when I read this title because those 4 Gentlemen defined the term "dignity" in an unique and new way.
After reading the synopsis I expected a lame drama but...wow...
After this drama I learned my lesson:
Never trust the synopsis. You might miss a great drama!

This drama showed the greatest "bro"mance, romance and comedy. And this all in one drama!
4 middle-aged men with 4 different stories and issues. And I still can't decide which one I liked the best as each of them were interesting, kind of new and moving.
This drama is another new and modern Korean dramas that are produced now. ( Thank God! We need new plots that deal with nowadays issues).
I guess, there are still fans debating about the topic "young woman and older man". But hey, no matter what you think of it, it doesn't change the fact that this drama is one the most outstanding dramas that I've ever seen.
Apart from the great male leads, the female actors did a great job as well. Everybody called them supportive actors. But for me, they are the female leads who did an outstanding job.
Especially, Kim Ha Neul was great. She did all the stuff like acting like a lunatic or being the typical clumsy female lead who seems to have the talent to make a fool of herself in a cute way.
Besides that, the chemistry between the couples and friends was so amazing. Especially the bromace: I have never seen such a funny and cute bromance.
I could watch the openings of every ep again and again. Ok, I have to admit that it was a bit awkward to see those grown ups dressed like students. And the heavy make-up didn't help that much. But who cares, the scenes were still so funny. Just the thought of it makes me laugh now. The openings reminded me of History of a Salary Man.
And it is also impressive that all the characters aren't shown in a superficial way.
At first, I thought: How boring, I will see the typical Korean characters like the "Clumsy woman", "The Womanizer", "The Macho" and so on. But after watching some eps, I realized that every character had some "emotional issues".
So 100 points for the amazing writers who accommodated a number of things. It was never boring, predictable or lame.
I just can repeat: Wow!

To put it in a nutshell: It is your fault if you miss this drama! The fact that I wrote such a long review ( with full of praise and repeated terms like "outstanding") should prove that there is something great about this drama...^^

I decided to write a review for this because my overall impression slightly goes south from the majority.

Four episodes in and:
(1) I wasn't caring much for the characters,
(2) I feel like I could even drop this drama.

But of course I had to finish it, after all how could I just let go of such a wonderful ensemble cast. As for my weird reasoning, I fully realized why in the end.

This isn't the type of drama that I'd marathon, more like an enjoyable filler that I can watch at leisure pace. I feel like it's too lengthy for its kind of story. It could have been kept at 16-episodes, or alternatively, it could have explored and given more scenes to the four men who were truly awesome when they're together, but apart, each of their storyline provides not much impact, and it was only thanks to these great actors who brought it to life in a splendid fashion.

Besides the foursome buddies, the only couple with glowing chemistry is Yoon & Me Ahri. I attribute this to the underlying issues in their relationship which they had to overcome, and both actors came through for it. As to why I couldn't say the same for the main couple, it may be due to the overall direction and tone the drama took, which is just too much fluffiness. Should I even add, I couldn't connect much with the main couple and on the other hand, if Tae San & Yi Soo, who exudes more chemistry, had more developments then it might have improved my take on this drama.

I understand that the goal was to showcase the male buddy system, different male personalities, how a man react to different situations in their life and relationships. It's great for what it's worth and I had too may LOL moments to not be positive about it plus to top it off, it gives you perfect pitch music that compliments everything from upbeat, funny, romantic, soulful, or sentimental.

Because of these, I say it's worth re-watching just to recapture those laugh-out-loud moments. But, I'm not too thrilled of watching another 20-episodes of it again, so probably a lot will be skipped.

I really loved this drama. It was originally sitting on my "plan to watch" list for about 2 years until I decided about two weeks ago to watch it. If school hadn't gotten in the way, I'd have had it finished a LOT quicker, believe me!

The storyline in this show was GREAT. I LOVED all of the relationships, and enjoyed all of the side story lines. Only in perhaps one or two episodes did I find a lull in the speed of the storyline. I especially loved the little flashbacks at the start of each episode!

All of the actors and actresses in this show were fantastic. And the cameos were AMAZING.

I really enjoyed the music- especially 'Crazy Time' and 'My Love'.

I don't tend to rewatch dramas, but I definitely will be rewatching this at some point!

Overall, a fantastic Rom-Com drama, which doesn't disappoint :)

This review may contain spoilers
Story: I thought this had a good storyline and it was nicely wrapped up at the end. I had been meaning to watch this for probably about a year. I was really happy I finally got to it. Let me just say there are very good kiss scenes, and the chemistry between all the couples is great. It just irritates me when a couple is supposed to be in love, and it never gets there. The one thing that bugged me was that the leading woman's "best friend" didn't seem like a good friend to me. (If you want to know more of my reasoning behind that message me. I kind of feel like it's spoilers, just to be on the safe side.)I also loved the F4 kind of vibe that was given by the leading males. I liked that in this story you see the happy times that are in relationships and the not so glamorous side too. I will say the first episode isn't that good, but it picks up from there.

Cast: I loved this cast. I thought they all worked well together to tell these four stories.

Music: It was ok. I have no desire to buy it.

Rewatch: Yes, I probably will be rewatching it at some point.

I really went in to watch the drama with high expectations. It delivered on some fronts and failed on others.

The F40 having a bromance was the main reason I was tempted to watch it. I love tales on friendship on any given day. If it were just for their friendship I would give it a full 10. The female leads of the show are the reason the rating goes down to a 6.

It started out really well too with the romantic plots and there wasn't a single boring moment till midway. However, when the drama ran half its course right from then I found myself struggling to stay interested.

The F40 or all the ajhussis were cool in their own way. They gave off a fresh feeling but pretty soon it became stale. The problem didn't lie within their characters- but with what they became when it came to the women they loved. Speaking of, there wasn't a single female character I found myself loving. I only liked one and the rest were annoying. The main female lead is one of the worst and inconsistent characters ever in a Korean drama. Her friend was hardly better or even Mah Ri, who was cutesy with her aegyo in the beginning and then redundant in the later half. None of the characters ever grew much.

Then there was a certain sub-plot which was completely unnecessary and pointless. I felt like there was too much time devoted to senseless things than important stuff. There was a lot of potential to make this drama near to perfect. For me, this drama was like being promised a cake and only getting the cherry. It was such a disappointment.

By the end, I was glad that it was over and not really caring about what happened to the characters. Hence, what we are left with is a one-time watch.
