Kazuyuki Yamamura, a successful advertising executive, takes pride in supporting his family, which includes his wife, Miki, and daughter, Rie. After buying a house, he sees himself at the peak of his career. In contrast, his neighbor, Yusuke Sugio, is a stay-at-home dad while his wife, Shoko, runs a company. Kazuyuki looks down on Yusuke, viewing him as helpless. However, Kazuyuki's life turns upside down when he is forced to leave his job, and Miki is invited back to her old workplace. With no other choice, Kazuyuki becomes a reluctant stay-at-home husband, a role he never wanted. (Source: MyDramaList) Edit Translation

Ah one of my favorite dramas, that was also one of my first watched dramas. As you've read the summary you know this is about a dad who loses his job and so he stays home and takes care of the children while his wife works. It has a unique storyline, comedy, drama, and it's rather enjoyable to watch so I give the story a 10. I'm a big fan of Hiroshi Abe, so i might be a bit biased when it comes to the Cast/Acting but i really think they did a brilliant job, so for the Cast/Acting, i'm going to also give it a 10. The music was ok. As for rewatch value, i'm generally not a rewatcher, so this gets a 7 for rewatchability. Overall though it's a solid drama that everyone should watch.

the story of this drama is definitely not boring and not something that we see a lot. during the time it aired, i am pretty sure it was new for it's time. First of all, the fact that it is about someone who decided to become an "at home dad" because his wife had work and he was fired. All in all, he could not find a job so it was his last resort. by taking the role of the house-man though and making friends with his neighbor he matured into becoming a proper dad for his child.

the acting, needless to say , it was outstanding. all of the actors definitely did great in this seeing as most of them have had a lot of experience too. abe hiroshi was once again great and the friendship between the two male leads was truly amusing.

the music was okay for the drama, quite enjoyable and i think that rewatching wouldn't hurt. I think it would still remain funny.
