The love story of an immortal man and an ordinary girl. Tongjan, an accountant who leads a simple and quiet life, is about to have a deathly adventure when she accidentally walks into a drug deal gone bad. Tacha, a multi-millionaire, saves her from multiple dangerous encounters as she is a witness against the "Black Pearl" gang. Tacha is naturally drawn to her as she resembles his ex-love. He is determined not to lose her again. Tacha's immortal life began when he battled a vampire with a dagger through the heart 200 years ago, and droplets of blood splashed onto his lips. Reviews
Promising Start
I wasn’t sure if I was going to do a review for this lakorn but at the last minute I just went with it.So negatives first…..I feel that this lakorn had an incredibly promising start as the first 8 episodes, if I remember correctly were done so well. I liked the concept of Vampire since I enjoyed (most of the) Twilight movies but this was rather disappointing for me because rather than a “love story between an immortal and an ordinary girl” as the original synopsis stated, the story was more about greed and the evil of this world. I don’t mind villains as they are expected but the level of evil was just too high for my taste.
Another thing I didn’t care for at all was the CGI which is a huge part of why I tend to avoid Supernatural/Fantasy genres in Lakorn productions. I found the green eyes really distracting but I’m putting that down to expecting all vampires to have red eyes lol, the cracks on the wall when a character was pushed against it, was also pretty laughable. In the last few episodes, I found the villains actions to be nothing if not repetitive which honestly made everything seem kinda draggy and predictable.
Now onto the good stuff….is there even any at this point? lol
So, I initially came for the age gap and reincarnation part of the story but had no idea there was Vampire involved. I did enjoy the romance between the lead’s in the first 8 episodes but due to the things that happened from 9 onwards, I feel the romance wasn’t as much and it became all about survival. I also loved the family relationships both biological and found and the friendship between the characters were nice to watch. My fave character was probably Khaohom because she was strong and smart. I also liked the second couple even though the guy was incredibly annoying at first but his character development was really nice.
Some of the acting was OTT but over all it was good.
I only noticed one song playing throughout so that was also a little bit repetitive.
I wouldn’t rewatch this nor is it top of my recommendations but if you’re going to watch, I advise you to go in with no expectations. I never have expectations but the direction of the story was still a disappointment.
200 anos de espera
Meu parecer breve.Em um tempo passado em em meio a uma batalha, um homem que virou vampiro e um objetivo. Ansioando a espera a amanda.
