I was really looking forward to this drama because of the high ratings and reviews. It started with a great mixture of lighthearted, enjoyable characters, and the ever charming and enigmatic male trio of friends. The story revolves around this group of friends who, despite feuding parents, have determined to maintain integrity in business and loyalty in friendship. The development in the first half of this drama was positive and interesting, leaving one hoping for more.

As the drama progressed, however, I found myself wanting to skip through some of the repetitive dialogues in hope of moving through the storyline faster. About 1/2 way through, I really began getting annoyed with the lack of creative dialogue and storyline, combined with the stereotypical characters and their nonsensical actions. A lot of the drama and emotional turmoil seemed insubstantial and unrealistic, while many of the characters lacked clear and positive development. The antagonists in this drama lacked any humanity to the point of fixated insanity, while the protagonists who started out dynamic and proactive became apathetic, compliant and indecisive to the point of aggravation.

All in all, if this drama had ended at 16-20 episodes, it would have more than sufficed, as it is more or less a pretty stereotypical plot, storyline, and characters.

'When love walked in' has a very similar storyline with 'Romantic Princess'. The story revolves around absurdity, out-of-the-norm contexts and is filled with surprises that most of us will not get to experience it. The structure of these two films are almost identical. The story talks about a young lady, who grows up in a middle-income family for many years without know her real identity- the granddaughter of a wealthy man. As the grandfather was unable to locate his long-lost granddaughter for many years, he decides to pick three young talented guys who will eventually succeed his business if they fail to find his granddaughter before he passed on. However, after long periods of observation, the rich granddad already has in mind who he his future successor to be and the successor-to-be is aware of it as well. The irony of this story is, the successor-to-be is not willing to take over the company as he wants to venture in the outside world. As such, the successor-to-be tries all means to annoy and avoid the granddaughter so that she will not fall for him.

Personally I prefer Romantic Princess to When love walked in. One of the reason is of course, the dubbing, but that is not the main point. As this storyline is extraodinary and extravagant, the setting, location and image put up by the actors and actresses should complement the plot. In Romantic Princess, Emp's house looks like a museum, a palace filled with incandescent lights, exquisite interior design, spicing up the story plot. Actors like wu chun, calvin chen, george hu and ang lin portrayed the princes image with tuxedo, bow tie and hair-dos. Also, Angela Chang being the princess of this story, she adorns herself with pretty dresses and gowns. As the designs of this film is highly complementary to the nature of the plot, this film is more successful than When love walked in. In the show When love walked in, the context is more realistic as it draws in CEO of Yuan company, talented secretaries instead of dashing rich guys as well as the setting is less fantastical. Less magical, less extravagant, it does not complement very well with the story plot. As such, Romantic Princess is a better show than When Love walked in. In fact, if there are two shows with almost identical story plots, it will attract lots of comparison in every manner. Hence, it is not recommended to have two shows of similar plots. Though so, if you're an avid lover of Romantic Princess, you should watch When Love Walked In as well, as you'll get to experience another way of interpretation given the same storyline. :)

I had seen the preview of this video and thought it looked interesting. After watching the first episode, I was hooked. I watched 7 episodes straight in one day,and the only reason I stopped was because the rest haven't been subbed. The chemistry between all three leads is electric. This is definitely a drama you don't want to miss.

A little surprised by its low ratings/reviews- I think it's definitely worth trying!! I absolutely love this drama and the start of the story will really lure you in... What I really really like about this drama is that the friendship is soooo deep T-T They are friends who will really die for each other instead of the typical best friend betrayal kind of thing for once. It's fun to watch good friends for once- and it doesn't take away from the main couple! I love all the characters in this drama and the OSTs are so beautiful!! Will rewatch anyday!!

Cute characters. Infuriating ML. Dubbing annoyed me.

First things first: I hate the dubbing! Some people have explained that it's because of different regional accents from the actors, but I personally wouldn't have minded their original voices. I couldn't fully concentrate on the drama because of said dubbing. It was annoying me.

Calvin Chen's character (Yu Jiang) was... irritating. I like the actor. I've watched his interviews and he seems like a great person, but omg the script tries to make this guy a mysterious "bad boy", but is really just making drama just to cause tension. It's so infuriating watching him make problems worse by his awful attempts at resolving them. Case in point, how he handled his situation with Ya Yin's cousin. I was face palming and almost considered dropping the drama so many times. The only thing that saved me during that time was Victoria and Zhoumi's cute friendship while Ya Yin was going through the heartache that Yu Jiang put her through. And what is with C-drama ML's always forcing the FL to be with someone she doesn't like??? Have you even considered her feelings or are you that self-centered? It honestly felt like the ML cared more about the FL's cousins's feelings than the FL's.

For her first drama, Victoria was adorable. She gave off a girl-next-door vibe, but Ya Yin was so passive while Yu Jiang and her freaking family were walking all over her! Like girl, where's your sense of self-worth and self-preservation?

I really liked Shang Lin (Zhoumi). He was just the right amount of bubbly. I liked that he knew where he stood with the FL and knew what BOUNDARIES were, which SOME people don't. I was rooting for him and wanted a good ending for him.

The other supporting actors were good. The parents in this drama were horrid. It seemed like they were the kids and their actual kids were the parents. I also liked that the friendship between the guys stayed strong throughout.

Not going to talk about the kissing scenes...well, you'll know why if you've watched it. Literally nothing to talk about. I don't know about Calvin, but I'm glad Victoria got much better at it now (2021 present day).

As I've learned with C-dramas, they love dumping a boatload of miscommunication into the plot in an already lengthy drama (could've cut down the episodes). I felt like yelling at each character that an explanation could go a long way - just talk and you guys will be fine! Although I guess there wouldn't be a drama then.

Conclusion: cute drama, infuriating ML, way too many episodes.

“When Love Walked In (2012)” is convoluted corporate drama that started with a lot of potential and ended with great disappointment. The writer(s) made little effort to give the characters common sense and rationality. The leading couple was so flippant with their relationship that they would rather give the love of their lives to someone else in the name of friendship and familiar relationship. The cast’s acting seemed forced at all times and the plot put the main characters in ridiculous situations. The drama centers on a group of friends who were determined to maintain integrity in business and loyalty in friendship that went to absurd lengths to sacrifice one for another. Although the premise of loyalty is great, the leading lady was tossed like a tennis ball for the sake of friendship and she was so indulgent of others that she would even get together with someone that she didn’t love. Even the end felt insignificant and rushed. To quote azndrama from his/her review: “the protagonists who started out dynamic and proactive became apathetic, compliant and indecisive to the point of aggravation.” Don’t waste your time; it’s a total waste of talent!

This story is much like "Romantic Princess" and I think this is better cause the story line is quite realistic. but I don't think 32 episode is enough. =))
