Just finished watching this film. It's really a work of art in that it's not just another tear jerker family movie that teaches you to not take your loved ones for granted. It's so much more than that-there's a reason why it won Park Ji-Bin an international film festival award. This film challenges you as the viewer to use your imagination, think outside the box, and see the world from a child's viewpoint. And that is what makes it brilliant! It's element of magical realism really shocks you into paying more attention to the movie, because it is very unexpected. The actors were amazing and if you're a k-drama fan, this movie gives you a chance to see the stars before they were stars. I guarantee that you'll be seeing a lot of familiar faces in this one. And they all help to bring the storyline closer to home. So if you're up for the challenge, you should give "Hello Brother" a shot!
This is my first review on this site and I been here for a few months. I always wanted to watch this movie but there was no reviews, even though it has a good rating. After watching this movie I understand why the users on this site couldn't review. This movie is a Masterpiece. Everything from the acting to the plot his just portrayed so beautifully. I really never had seen a sad Movie that just moved me to tears and I was satisfied with everything including the ending. The story is simple yet so complex. The development of the main character was written perfectly and the child actor (PARK Ji-Bin) executed his role so well that I really thought he was Hani. There really is no words for this movie. I think if you're ready for a tear jerker that moves your soul YOU MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!
This was a real heart tugger starting at a few minutes ends. And had me in tear quite a few times. During the movie I actually enjoy the character development as the movies goes from start to finish in Han Yi. The cast did an amazing job showing the emotions needed to make this movie a success. I would watch it again and tat is saying something I am a watch one and done type of gal.
I would recommend this to anyone but with a little advice... Get your heart ready.
